| Unreleased/Rare Mp3s I Recommend |
I decided to add this for the sheer hell of it. This is a list of mp3s i think that people should download, ones which aren't available on albums. Enjoy!
Bush "The One I Love (live @ Woodstock '99)- A fairly interesting cover of REM's "The One I Love" apparently from Woodstock '99. Availability: file swapping
Counting Crows "Live Forever/A Long December"- This is the Crows covering Oasis's "Live Forever" as an intro to their song "A Long December." It is quite unexpected and cool. Availability: file swapping
Dave Matthews Band "Cortez the Killer (featuring Neil Young)"- Dave Matthews Band and Neil Young playing a Neil song acoustic for 15:43 of pure bliss. Its beautiful. Availability: typicalsituations.com, file swapping
"Grace is Gone", "Big Eyed Fish"- My favorite unreleased tracks from the Lillywhite Sessions. Availability: file swapping
"Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors"- Cool Rare early Dave song. Availability: file swapping, www.dmbml.com
Finger 11 "Singalong (live)"- This is a cover of a Grant Lee Buffalo song. However, it is a complete rearrangement of the original. It is well worth a listen, despite fairly low sound quality on the only recording I've seen. Availability: weakenedhands.com
Fuel "Daniel (live)"- Cool solo acoustic Elton John cover by Fuel's Brett Scallions. Availability: file swapping
Pearl Jam "Alone (demo)"- This is just a cool song, period. The demo is better than the version that is a bside. Eddie's a cappella at the end is just amazing. Availability: file swapping, lukin.com .
"Dead Man"- An Eddie song which was intended for the soundtrack to the film that you might guess it was. Great tune. Availability: file swapping
Smashing Pumpkins Machina II album- This is the pumpkins final album, never released on a label. Many tracks are worth your while. The best, in my opinion, are "Slow Down" "Vanity" "Saturnine" "Soul Power" "Speed Kills" "If There is a God" and "Let me Give the World to You." Its almost all at least worth a listen, except the alt. version of "Heavy Metal Machine," which appears to consist of nothing but billy singing over feedback (ugh). |
