Zelda- The Princess of Hyrule. She is curious and thoughtful and is said to have magical powers.

Link- The Hyrulean Boy who is an orphan. He is soon to become the hero of Hyrule.

Saria-Link's best friend. Saria is a Kokiri who loves to play her Ocarina in her "normal place". Saria will be helping Link on his journey later on.

Mido- Another Kokiri which is bossy since he is the Kokiri boss. No Kokiri likes him since he is so mean. Mido may feel sorry though later for one character.

The Kokiri- Beings that appear young their whole existence and if they leave the forest, they will automatically be killed. Each Kokiri has a guardian fairy.

The Owl (also known as another name, Kaobaro Baroura I think)-
A mysterious animal which seems much larger than regular owls. He gives you tips on your adventure and helps you in some situations.

Navi- Your guardian fairy. Navi is an energetic fairy who helps you talking to people, fighting enemies, finding things and also giving you advice.

Malon- A young girl who lives at Lon Lon Ranch. Malon loves to sing and take care of Epona.

The Townspeople- The people of Hyrule Market who seem to have no object in their life except to sleep and work.

Impa-The guard of Princess Zelda. Impa is one of the last Sheika, a disappearing race, who is mysterious but will help you.

Dampe- The gravedigger at Kakariko Graveyard. Dampe gives a great tour at night and has a special something he will never give up until he is no longer living.

The Gorons- strong creatures who live up on the mountain called Death Mountain, a working volcanoe. The Gorons like to eat rocks but can't get into their stash.

The Zoras- Fish that evolved into human-like creatures. The Zoras have a fish called Jabu-Jabu in their fountain where it is considered sacred by the Zoras.
