Talk to the egg head man in Viridian City who shows you how to catch a weedle. Talk to him, he will ask you're in a hurry. Say no, and after he catches a weedle FLY to Cinnabar Island, surf on the east coast of the island, so it looks like you're half on land and half on water. A pokemon called missingno. will appear eventually. DO NOT CATCH HIM HE WILL MESS UP YOUR GAME!!! Make it faint or run from it and you will have a symbol next to the sixth item in your list. This means you have about 130 of that object!!
(recommended items to duplicate: nugget, rare candy, and masterball)

Stand on a Tree

You must have CUT for this.
Go to a tree. Use CUT on it and then walk to the place the tree used to be. Save the game. Then turn your game boy off. Turn it back on, press continue and you will be standing on a tree!

Get to Cinnabar Island the Easy Way

You must have SURF for this.
Go to the small rectangular stretch of water at the bottom of Pallet Town. Keep surfing south and you will eventually get to Cinnabar Island.

Phantom P.C.

Go to the hotel in Celadon City. Stand where the computer in a pokémon centre would be. (Top right corner one space away from the wall). Press A. Even though you can't see it, you will be using the 'phantom P.C.'!
