These are some clues and hints for defeating the Pokemon Gym Leaders:
Brock: Use water or grass Pokemon to beat this rock trainer.
Misty: Use grass pokemon or electric to bring down this gym leader.
Leiutenant Surge: use a rock or ground pokemon and you'll definitely win.
Erika: Use fire pokemon or fighting against this plant master and she won't bother you again!
Sabrina: Use bug or ghost against this fire crazy girl and you're sure to win.
Koga: You can easily beat the poison pokemon master if you use psy pokemon.
Blaine: Use water or ice pokemon to beat this fire happy guy.
Final boss: Giovanni, the team rocket leader, is the final gym leader - use water,
ice, plant and you should be able to knock him down (be sure to talk to him again -- he'll say something to you).
