FIRST RED AND BLUE NOW YELLOW

Yep! Pokémon Yellow for Game Boy systems has been confirmed by Nintendo of America themselves! And it will be in English! (of course)

However, since the game was released recently in Japan, Pokémon Yellow won't be optimized for the Game Boy Color. It is, however, ready for the Super Game Boy, just like Pokémon Red/Blue.

What's so special about the game? It follows the TV version of Pokémon: You start with Pikachu, he follows you around, outside of his PokéBall, plus Nurse Joy in the PokéCenters is the same one from the Game, Chansey and all! The game will be released sometime in the future.

Also, I was told that there is a Pikachu surfing minigame, and you can see a close up of his face and to see how he is feeling.

POKEMON PINBALL!

Out of the blue (or should we say red and blue) comes Pokémon Pinball, a surprize game for the Game Boy Color.

You can be assured that as we receive more information on this game, we'll post it immediately.

Also, the release of another Pokémon game makes us more sure than ever that Pokémon Stadium will be released, as Nintendo has stated.

May 10, people: it's coming!

Pokemon Silver/Gold!

It is said that this game will have over 250 monsters and each having their own gender which means there would be a girl and a boy Pokémon! New Tricks and New Abilities! Brand-new Pokemon will learn brand-new tricks. It is said that over 200 tricks are there, and there also will be brand-new abilities. The screen images of battle are much improved. Also, the monsters will be more realistic, as they will be diurnal and nocturnal, meaning you'd actually have to wait for them to wake up at a certain time of day for them to fight. You can check Pokemon's pre-evolved status! For example, you can see the Clefable's former data when it was Clefairy in Red or Blue Versions. And some Pokemon may evolve in Gold and Silver even if they were thought to have been at their final evolution or Red and Blue Versions.

Since the Pokémon can be nocturnal or diurnal, means the game will have a clock, or timer, to keep track of this. Also, Nintendo may be planning for the game to be in Color. You can use the skateboard as a new traffic facility! In addition to bicycle by which you could move comfortably in Red and Blue Versions, you can use the skateboard to move fast and may be able to go unexpected place in Gold and Silver Version.

Also, there's a new version of Pikachu in the game. He is a nicely plump, BLUE Pikachu-looking creature, who is called Mariru, meaning Marine Blue. His American name is Pikablu. As said before, he will be plump, and that means he's plumper than Pikachu. He's made his appearence in the movie "Pikachu no Natsuyasumi" too. Also, the Pokedex will be upgraded and have some new functions.

Because the Pokémon in this new game would have a specific gender, Pokemon bears a child! All Pokemon that appear in Gold and Silver are classified into male and female, just as the case of Nidoran in Red and Blue. Pokemon can be crossbred and make a baby by laying 'Poke-Egg' if they are same species.

The main problem? The older versions of PokéMon, PokéMon Red, Green, Blue, and Pikachu will NOT be able to READ the data of the new monsters of Gold and Silver but Pokémon Red, Green, Blue and Pikachu would be able to SEND their monster data to the new version.

Ths graphics seem good and expect the game play to be even better. The planned release of this game would probably be around April '99 in Japan. The American release date would probably be around the same time.

Thank Lieb467@aol.com for this great article.

PokéMon Stadium

Pokémon Stadium is one of the three games that's set to be released for N64. In this game, you are able to see two (or more) characters go against each other. The game features 40 built-in creatures that you can build up and send into battle.

The Japanese version of Pokémon Stadium is set to ship with an included 64 GB (game boy) Pak. This device plugs into your controller's memory card slot, similar to the Rumble Pak. If you happen to be the happy owner of one of the Game Boy Pokémon games, plug that Game Boy cart into the 64 GB Pak, switch on Pokémon Stadium, and swap data between the two games. This way, you can bring the monsters you have discovered in the Game Boy Pokémon into the N64 game and view them in their 3D color glory. Pokémon Stadium lets you perform your multiplayer battles with a tad more graphic flair than the Game Boy can muster.

Using the included 64 GB Pak (in Japan), you can plug your Pokémon Game Boy cartridge into your controller, download your Pokémon into the N64, and duke it out with your friends with excellent 3D graphics. In addition to the battle features, Pokémon Stadium lets you play your Pokémon Game Boy game in emulation on the N64 and browse a Pokémon encyclopedia. Unfortunately, American Pokémon carts will not work with Pokémon Stadium, making it an import only for those playing the Japanese version of the game.

Here are some of the options included with Pokémon Stadium:

Computer (Pasokon): There are four boxes with 30 slots each on the Game Boy Pokémon cartridge, so you can save the details of 120 monsters. Since that's not nearly enough memory to store all your horde,

this option allows you to transfer the info onto the cartridge itself. Transfer the monsters back and give them to your buddy.

Picture Book (Zukan): Allows the creation of an electronic "photo album" of your collection, categorizing the monsters according to the 151 different species. You can then view them in all their animated 3D polygon glory. The Zukan mode also includes maps that show the exact

locations and habitats of your monsters.

Quick Look (Ichiran): For a rapid review of your collection, this option lists the monster name, type, number, techniques, and other stats. It also

shows which items are stored in the computer (on the cart), so you can

employ the "Use" tool to quickly select the monster you wish to put into

combat.

GB (Game Boy): This function enables you to play the Game Boy Pocket Monsters game via the N64 (using the machine's controllers) on your TV screen.

Collection (Temochi): This is a database of all the monsters. Players can

check out the attributes and info of their creatures, as well as size up the opposition, and discover which attacks may have an advantage or be used against them in the upcoming battle.

Registration (Touroku): Import your friends' monsters and fight them as

many times as you want.
