A guy hit on Chuck Knoblauch at a wedding, and the Minnesota Twin didn't hit him back. "You are JUST awful!" said Melissa Cohen, the shameless publicist of "Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding." What would you write, dear readers? First, recall that Knobby is known to get physical - remember his run-in with that Seattle autograph-seeker in 1995?

Now factor in these facts from Friday's Hey City Theater performance: "The gay videographer character, Timmy Sullivan, played by Ed McNulty, hit on Chuck," Cohen said. "He wanted to dance with him during the dollar dance, but Chuck turned him down." Ta-da. Chuck was trying to have a low-key night at the theater with his wife, Lisa, and friends, but it was not to be. Part of this production's shtick is that cast members stand outside heckling members of the audience as they arrive.

"When Chuck and his wife and the three other couples walked in - they are all about 25ish - Ross Young's character, Tony, made some kind of snide comment like, Wow, there comes the cast of 'Friends," said Cohen. "Michael Dunne, who is the managing director of the theater, said, That's Chuck Knoblauch! And Tony went, No it's not!" Once inside, there was even more embarrassment. "There is a photo that hangs in the lobby of [Twins Hall of Famer] Tony Oliva and the Tony played by Jim Cunningham. It was a Tony and Tony picture basically, OK?" said Cohen. "Ross Young took the picture off the wall and walked up to Chuck Knoblauch and said, Is that you? and pointed to Tony Oliva. That really tickled Chuck's funny bone." Chuck was probably laughing hysterically until Timmy asked for his hand.
