Smackdown Results for 8/31/00

Stephanie McMahon comes to the ring. She tells that her relationship with her husband is fine. She was abused with constant chants of "slut" but continued to tell the audience that she spent the night with her brother at the hospital who she said was mending well. She even said "its true," quoting Kurt Angle. Then Kurt Angle came out and tried to make Triple H look bad. He showed footage to Stephanie being hit by her husband. She didn't believe that her husband did it on purpose so Kurt then showed her footage of Triple H being consoled by his ex, Chyna. Stephanie started to see a new light just as Chyna came out and threatened Kurt Angle. Kurt then showed footage of Eddie and Triple H's match Friday night when Chyna was consoling Triple H instead of Eddie Guerrero. Chyna then proceeded to the ring after Kurt and he told her not to come in cause he doesn't hit women and he doesn't want to kick her butt in front of everyone. Chyna then got in the ring and Stephanie got in her face. Kurt then got Chyna from behind picked her up and slammed her. Eddie Guerrero then came in the ring and chased Kurt out of the ring.
Triple H arrived at the arena. He went to the dressing room where he found Stephanie and Kurt Angle together. Triple H went nuts and chased Kurt out. Stephanie wanted to know why he didn't tell her about Chyna and the hug she gave him. Triple H said it was ridiculous kicked a table, said he had to cool off and left.

Road Dogg comes to the ring and is upset with the Right to Censor and says the have to right to censor what he sees. He then told them to come out. Bull Buchanon came out with Steven Richards and actually talked for himself and said that he wants to censor the Road Dogg cause he children shouldn't have to see this. The match was quick, it started with Bull running into the ring and punches flew. Bull took an early advantage but just as he went for an ax kick Road Dogg caught his leg and slammed him down and got the pinfall.

Backstage Chyna goes with Eddie Guerrero to demand a match against Kurt Angle from the commish. Mick Foley told her that this would be an award for Kurt and he doesn't deserve this. Eddie then demands a piece of him. Mick Foley says that everyone wants a piece of him and he can't just be making triple threat matches. Then he realizes that he can and sets up a triple threat match between Guerrero, Triple H and Angle.

Edge and Christian come out with Jackie and made fun of the Hardy Boys. The Hardy Boys then came out with Lita and Matt Hardy actually talked. He said what Edge and Christian wreak of they can't says on national television. Jeff went to say what it was but Matt stopped him. They all ran into the ring and the six man tag team match begun. The match was full of high-flying moves and Jackie and Lita got into a cat fight. A triple DDT was hit by Lita and the Hardys during the match. Towards the end, Lita hit a hurucanrana of the top rope on Edge, Jeff then hit the Swanton bomb for the win.

Backstage Kurt Angle tells Stephanie that the kiss he gave her was a kiss that a good friend would give another and it was just a friendly kiss. Stephanie tells him that she needs space. Kurt says OK but he will be there for her.

Perry Saturn came out with the Terri who was dressed conservatively. Al Snow ran out and the match begun. Perry Saturn took an early advantage throwing Al all around the ring. Then all of a sudden Perry went to Terri who was outside the ring. Al Snow then got Saturn by surprise with a splash from the top rope. Al began to beat up Saturn and went to do a moonsault from a wall but Terri pushed him into the crowd. Saturn then took control and threw him into the ring. Al Snow took an advantage with a couple of punches and then rolled him up for a pin and it was reversed about 5 or 6 times. Snow then was distracted by Terri who had head. Al took head from her and hit Perry while the ref wasn't looking. Snow got the pinfall but the ref saw the head and it didn't count. While Snow was distracted by the ref Saturn hit a suplex into a pin but couldn't get three. Perry then tried to his Snow with the head but was to no avail. Perry then tried the rings of Saturn but couldn't get it on and it was reversed into a Dragon Sleeper and he tapped out. Al Snow became the new European Champion.

Backstage Stephanie and Triple H talk about there relationship. Triple H apologizes but then realizes its the same thing with Kurt and Stephanie. Stephanie says its different cause they have no past. Triple H then goes nuts because he is the guy that's trying to ruin their relationship. Stephanie screams and Joe overhears this from outside the room.

Al Snow is interviewed about winning the European belt. He says he wants to bring respect back to the European title and to all the people of Europea.

The next match was for number one contendership between Chris Benoit and Undertaker. Benoit runs into the ring and attacks Undertaker but his size is too much for Benoit. Benoit gradually takes over by continually attacking Undertaker's bad knee. 'Taker finally takes control again when he threw Benoit out of the ring. Undertaker then hit an awesome powerbomb and went for a chokeslam just as Kane ran out and attacked him. The bell rang but Kane continued to beat on Undertaker. Benoit then got back up and attacked Kane because he interrupted his match and then eventually joined forces but the Rock came out and cleared house. Undertaker was announced the winner of the match.

Tazz comes out and says that microphone 1 and microphone 2 have been costing him some matches. He then wants to know where J. R. is. He tells King that he going to find out what thug life is about. Just as he about to leave the ring, Jericho's countdown comes on. Jericho comes out and says that everyone wants a piece of Tazz even the popcorn vendor in the seventeenth row. He says that that he's not a thug but just a schoolyard bully and he is going to treat him like one by putting him in the Walls of Jericho until he runs home to his mother, mocking Tazz's speech the whole time. Jericho takes a quick advantage but it doesn't last for long. Tazz then leaves the ring and hits King, King then attacks him and Jericho slides into Tazz and hits Tazz's head into the announce table. The match goes back into the ring but Tazz gets the Tazz mission on Jericho. Jericho gets out by hitting a low blow and then goes for the Bulldog. He then hits the Lionsault for the win. Tazz then goes to attack Lawler again but is held back.

Backstage Joe tells Kurt that he heard loud violent noises from the McMahon - Helmsley dressing room. Kurt then runs out yelling obscenities.

The Dudleys find Kai En Tai watching the Summerslam video and laughing at them.

The next match was between Kai En Tai and the Dudley Boys. Acolytes came out and watched from ringside. Dudleys dominated the match. They were going for wood when Bradshaw hit D-Von Dudley and put Kai En Tai on him for the win. The Acolytes left and The Dudleys put Kai en Tai through the table.

Backstage Kurt confronts Stephanie about the fight that she had with Triple H and he shouted some more obscenities. She assures him that Triple H did not hit her.

Backstage Trish Stratus and Val Venis confronted each other and Val kicked Trish to the curb saying that she didn't help him win the title but she made him lose it and that he is sick of her.

The next match was between Rikishi and Val Venis. The match was slowed paced and was boring until Rikishi hit three splashed on Val Venis. The Right to Censor came out but all received fists in the face from Rikishi. Too Cool came out and beat up on Right to Censor and nullified all but one member. Rikishi went to put a stink face on Val but Steven Richards hit him with the ring bell. Steven then pushed Val and he crawled on top of Rikishi and got the pinfall.

Backstage Eddie Guerrero tells Chyna that he hopes she doesn't mind when he beats his head in. Chyna tells him that what Triple H and her have is business but what they have is special. She then tells Eddie to make sure that he beats up on Kurt Angle.

Backstage Triple H apologizes to Stephanie for getting out of control and Stephanie apologized for slapping him. The police then come to bring Triple H "downtown" for spousal abuse and they will clear this up. Mick Foley tries to stop them but can't. He says it will be one on one but it won't be fair if Eddie has Chyna in his corner so Kurt will have Stephanie in his.

Kurt Angle with Stephanie McMahon took on Eddie Guerrero with Chyna. The match started with Eddie attacking Eddie. This match becomes very technical. Then, Steph gets on the apron and Eddie get a cover but the ref didn't see it. Chyna also went on the apron. Steph went to grab Chyna's leg but Chyna wasn't budging. Kurt throws Eddie into the ropes and he hits Chyna accidently. Chyna drops her IC Belt. Kurt hits Eddie with the IC belt and goes for the pin and wins. Chyna comes in the ring and attacks Kurt and then she gets in Chyna's face. Steph seems scard but then asks Chyna who she thinks she is. Chyna grabs Steph and DDTs her. Kurt carries Steph out.
