 Raw is War Results for August 28, 2000. Michael Cole interviews the commissioner Mick Foley and he tells of his allstar line up of matches. Chris Benoit/T & A vs. Acolytes/Chris Jericho, Lita vs. Jackie, Val Venis vs. Chyna, Steve Blackman vs. Tazz and Rock vs. Kane. Triple H waits backstage for Stephanie to arrive. The first match was the six man tag team match between Chris Benoit/T & A and Jericho/Acolytes. Benoit was the last man to come out and was attacked by Jericho on the ramp while T & A and the Acolytes fought in the ring. Jericho's team took the early advantage until Test put a neck breaker on Bradshaw that evened out the match. Then Bradshaw was double teamed by T & A and received more of a beating. Bradshaw then continued to get beaten down by Benoit and then Albert again. Bradshaw was able to tag in Jericho who leveled the playing fields. Albert had Jericho in the air when Bradshaw kicked him and set Jericho up for the Lionsault and the win. X-Pac meets up with Triple H who is still waiting for his wife. He seems to console his friend Hunter but just makes fun of him by telling him she's in good hands and chuckles. Triple H then meets up with Road Dogg who consoles him. Angle's theme music then comes on and Triple H runs off. Kurt Angle then makes his way to the ring and insults Triple H. He says that Triple H was a lousy champion and a lousy husband. Triple H then came to the ring. Triple H tells him how bad he beat him and that he didn't get a concussion, he gave him a concussion. Triple H says that he won't beat him up not but he wants to know where his wife is. Kurt says smirkingly that he doesn't remember anything from last night and doesn't know where his wife is. Triple H then tells him he plays the ignorant jackass and does a good job of it but he doesn't fool him. Kurt retorts saying that Stephanie is probably scared of him and he knocked some sense into her when he hit her and she now sees him for that bastard that he is. Triple H finally burst and shoved Kurt out of the ring and officials had to hold them back. Backstage Chyna sympathizes for Triple H and feels bad for him. Guerrero then tells her that she should be worried about the Intercontinental Championship match tonight. The next match was for Intercontinental championship between Chyna accompanied by Eddie Guerrero and Val Venis who wasn't accompanied by Trish Stratus. Val Venis took control of the match early and brought in out of the ring then back inside of it as Trish watched from the ramp. At this point Val had been dominating Chyna and went for three pins. Trish looked on and seemed supportive of Val. Chyna tried to get some momentum by knocking down Val as he ran into her at the turnbuckle. She was then able to hit the cartwheel into an elbow and the match evened out. Val had Chyna in the corner when Eddie distracted the ref as he went to interfere and Chyna was able to get a couple of low blows in. Val didn't seem to effected by the low blows and quickly regained control. Val had Chyna on the floor and went to the top rope and was about to win the match but Trish came closer to him. He tried to get rid of her thinking she might mess up his match again but as he went for her, Guerrero attacked him and threw him back into the ring and Chyna was able to roll Val up for the win. Val then yelled at Trish after the match blaming the loss on her. Backstage Cole interviewed Kurt Angle who seemed to be regaining some recollection of what happened the night prior. Kurt "amazingly" seemed to remember what room Stephanie was at in the hotel. The Right to Censor came out and Steven Richards blabbed on about how they continued to boo them as they are fighting the good fight. Steven says that this is now personal because Rikishi brought out the hoes with him. Rikishi then came to the ring with Too Cool and Mandy and Victoria, Goodfather's ex-hoes. As Rikishi entered Goodfather attacked him and the match began. Steven Richards was taking on Rikishi one on one. Rikishi took advantage quickly and was going to put a stinkface on Steven Richards but Bull and Goodfather attacked him and Steven was able to run away. After he left Rikishi, Too Cool, and the Hoes all danced. Backstage Chyna went to console Triple H and Eddie Guerrero found them hugging. He flipped out and pushed Triple H onto the couch as Chyna yelled at him for overreacting. Edge and Christian came out bruised from the TLC match the night before. Christian says that they cannot due their normal shtick because of the match last night. Edge said that they have gained a new respect for the Dudleys and the Hardyz. Since the the Dudleys weren't there tonight they wanted the Hardys to come out so that they could shake their hands. The Hardy's music was then cued and midgets were in place of the Hardys with tiny stepstools in place of ladders. Making fun of the Hardys, the Dudleys music came on and instead of the Dudleys their were midgets with a playskool table. Edge and Christian continued to mock their rivals until the real Hardy Boys came out and attacked them. They took out the ladders and nailed Edge and Christian with them. Just as they were about to finish them off from the top of the ladders, Edge and Christian were able to get away. Backstage Kurt Angle talked to Eddie Guerrero about what happened with Chyna and Triple H. Kurt told him there is nothing worse than someone trying to steal another wife and that he should challenge Triple H tonight. Steve Blackman made his way to the ring and was followed by Tazz who said that there would be three victims tonight: Blackman, Lawler, and J.R. Tazz hit Blackman down and then went after J.R. This gave Blackman control of the match for a while because while Tazz was taunting J.R. he hit him with a garbage can lid. Tazz regained control of the match and threw Blackman into the ring then hit Lawler with another can lid. Tazz then choked him but J.R. picked up the can lid and hit Tazz over the head with it. This enabled Blackman to jump on Tazz from the ring and got the pinfall. Tazz then went for Lawler again but officials broke it up and Lawler hit him over the head with his chair. Backstage Joe went to talk to Triple H but he would have none of it. Eddie then stormed into the dressing room telling him that he would face him tonight. Triple H told him that he wrote a check that he couldn't cash. Eddie retorted "come cash your check." The next match was between Lita and Jackie for the Women's Championship. Jackie took control of the match early but Lita was able to reverse one of her moves into a hurucanrana. Soon Jackie took control again with lots of pins and concentrating on Lita's ribs. Lita then hit a modified twist of fate then won the match with the moonsault. Lita left hurting and saw Edge and Christian coming down the ring. She was distracted and Jackie got her by the hair and dragged her back into the ring. The Hardys then attacked Edge and Christian. As Jackie threw Lita into the ropes Edge speared her again then The Hardys cleared house. Cole interviewed Kane about his title match tonight and how he was going to concentrate on that with the feud with his brother still going on. Kane told him that his brother made him realize that the world doesn't accept him so he won't accept the world. The next match was between Triple H and Eddie Guerrero. Eddie came into the ring and attacked Triple H right away and kept knocking down the game with Chyna looking on backstage. The matched evened out when Eddie had Triple H in the corner and jumped on him and started punching but Triple H threw him right off. The match was intense and some high flying moves were used by Guerrero. He then went to the top rope and attempted a frog splash but Triple H moved him out of the way and then catapulted him into the turnbuckle.Triple H was about hit a pedigree on Eddie but Kurt Angle then came out with a chair and nailed Triple H then Eddie and the match was over. Chyna then came out with a chair of her own and ran Angle out of the ring. Chyna didn't know who to tend to when all was said and done. The next match was a mixed tag team match between Kat/Al Snow and Saturn/Terri. The match started with a cat fight between the two women. Kat then taunted Terri as she was on the floor and Saturn shoved her. Snow tagged himself in as Terri tagged in Saturn. Saturn took control of the match. Saturn then went to the top rope but Al Snow Superplexed him. Mideon then came into the ring dancing half naked and then just left into the crowd. Al Snow then hit a moonsault on Saturn as he was on the floor. Snow went for the pin but Terri broke it up. Saturn threw Snow into Kat tagging her in and he was able to get the Rings of Saturn on her for the win. From WWF New York, the Dudleys say that Edge and Christian are real tough when they are thousands of miles away and if they were their they would kick their butts hurt or not. Rock was interviewed by Kevin Kelly about the match tonight against Kane. Rock insulted Kelly calling him a hermaphrodite before telling him that Kane cannot represent the people and he will kick his Candy Ass all over Greensboro. The Rock defended the WWF World Title vs Kane. The match starts with a stare down and then both exchange fists. Eventually Kane gets the upper hand and is working on the Rock. He goes to the top rope and hit his amazing flying clothesline. Rock, then mananges to hit a samoan drop. Rock then delivers his famous fists. He throws Kane into the ropes, Kane reverses and the Rock hits a running clothesline. Kane then throws the Rock into the ref. The ref is out. Rock then does a spinebuster on Kane. He hits the people's elbow but no ref to count the pin. Kane gets up and chokeslams the Rock. Ref counts but only a 2 count. Rock manages to get in a rock bottom but only a two count. The match goes to the outside, and into the crowd. Kane is pounding on Rock and then Undertaker's music hits and he rolls in on his bike. Kane comes back to ringside and both Kane and UT go at it in the middle of the ring. The ref is making sure the Rock is ok. UT does a monster chokeslam on Kane and Kane was down. UT had Kane's mask from last night on his bike. The Rock comes back in the ring and gets A TWO COUNT! Kane gets up and Rock hits a rock bottom and FINALLY GOT THE THREE COUNT. The Rock and UT staredown as RAW concludes. |
