The Hardy Boyz defeated Too Much. ... Very good match and very entertaining with Too much, especially when Scott Taylor slipped off the apron after dancing on the outside of the ring.
Test defeated Prince Albert with an Elbow Drop.
Al Snow defefeated Hardcore Holly after using Head, to retain the Hardcore Title. The announcement was made at the beginning of the match that the Maryland Athletic Commission would not allow the use of tables, which got a huge amount of boos. Very good match with the use of a cookie sheet, chair, and fire extinguisher , which Holly got himself with once.
The Godfather (w/ho's) defeated Goldust (w/The Blue Meanie), to retain the Intercontinental Title. ... Good match with Blue Meanie doing his usual house show bit with imitiating Sable. Goldust got powder in his face and then accidentally beat up Meanie and gave him the Shattered Dreams Kick. After the match, the chubby referee got the ho's and danced with them. They then all fell on the mat and did their thing, with the referee walking out on them.
Kurt Angle defeated Terry Taylor. ... This was not a good match, and the crowd responded to it with a course of boos and chants of "boring." Taylor went along with
it, invoking the crowd to do it more. Taylor came out to his Red Rooster music , which upset him, but it was hilarious. The referee slammed Taylor during the match, which let Angle take the win. On a note, Taylor is a television writer and a talent coordinator for the WWF, and will probably be a frequent wrestler from time to time to elevate the younger stars.
Road Dogg defeated Owen Hart (w/Debra). ... Big chants of Puppies. Road Dogg said he had enough of it and told Debra he wanted to see her tits. It was hilarious. Test came out at the end of the match and carried Debra away.
Val Venis and Jacqueline defeated D-Lo Brown and Ivory with a DDT by Jackie.
Ken Shamrock defeated Skull or 8-Ball by making him to submit to the Ankle Lock. Both of The Disciples of Apocalypse kept switching, which caused Test to come out and take care of things.
The Big Show defeated Mark Henry in a First Body Slam Match. ... Earlier in the night Henry did interview, challenging Big Show to a match where whoever got slammed first would be the winner. Henry got slammed first and then D-Lo Brown tried a low blow on Big Show but it didn't work. He got a chokeslam for his troubles.
The Rock defeated The Big Bossman. ... The Rock had no cast on. Very good match. The Rock was way over, as the crowd popped big for him, probably bigger or in range of pops for Shawn MIchaels or Stone Cold Steve Austin, but they weren't there.
Notes: WWF returns to the Baltimore Arena on July 29, 1999 with a 7:30 bell time. ... Excellent show overall considering the fact that most of the big name stars are in England for tomorrow's No Mercy PPV, but WWF is also running in Richmond, Virginia the same day. The place was packed. I would venture a guess and say that it was sold out, but if wasn't, it was very close to being there.
