While by now most of you know that the January Issue of The Source was full of Wu-Tang. Lots of pictures, and an article as well as a review for the W. The bastards only gave it 3 and a half mics while in the pervious issue they gave wack shit like ludacris, slikk the shocker and mystikal 3 and a half mics. Thats some fucked up shit man.

ODB was in court recently and he pleaded not guilty to having crac cocaine and budz when he was pulled over in new york for running a red light. One pig said that odb told him to do the right thing and make the drugs dissapear and he was a role model and kids look up to him. At http://welcome.to/thehiphopdynasty there is a campaign going to free odb, so go there and sign that shit.

FREE ODB!

There is also a new bangin track by Ghostface and Cappadonna at tha-real.com as well as a raekwon track.

The W also went Plantinum in recent weeks.

There was an article on RZA and his bro. Divine as well as a review of THE W in Time Magazine a few weeks ago. There is probably articles on Wu in the source but i have yet to reicieve my copy in the mail.

The soundtrack to Oz will be out on January 9, 2001. Wu members involved include Method Man, Rza, Raekwon, U-God and Ghostface Killah, along with other rap artists Master P, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill,Three 6 Mafia, Trick Daddy, Kurupt & Nate Dogg, Styles and Jadakiss from Lox, Pharaoahe Monch, Talib Kweli, Drag-on, Kool G Rap, Fiend, Devon the Dude, Lord Jamar, Krayzie Bone etc. Actually it's an excellent album with all the artists giving a twist on their view of prison life-not trying to glorify it, but to make people aware. Money went to the Innocence Project which is based out of Cardoza Law School in NYC which deals with DNA testing and this has freed many innocent people who were wrongly incarcerated. Method Mans song is What you in for? It's about him in a club with his love and her other man is there, which he claims she never told him about the scrub, so he take her out on the dance floor and the guy give him a shove and that starts shit off and Mef telling you what he in jail for.

Raekwon will also be on a track "money talks" on sticky fingaz solo cd dropping in feb. also superb of american cream team will be on the track "the state vs. kirk jones" also on that track are redman (defense attorney), canibus (prosecuter), rah digga (judge) and superb will be a witness.

Wu-Tang was on b.e.t’s rap city tonight. The Rza, The GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Masta Killah, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Street Life, and DJ Allah Mathematics were there. Raekwon and Cappadonna might have been there but I didn’t see them. There were Wu-Tang stickers and poster are all tha bassment as well as a picture of Ol’Dirty on a T.V screen as well. The RZA talked about the new album and said it was like World War 1 and said that there will definatly be another wu-album called WW2 (World War2). He also talked about how Ol’Dirty appeared with the rest of the group in New York a few weeks ago. Big Tig asked RZA if they had any diffaculties making the album without ODB and RZA said that it was like working with 9 fingers when they should have ten, so I think that what he said is also suggesting that Cappadonna could now be an offical member of the group. Big Tig also asked Inspectah Deck and Method Man if they thought that the wu as at where they should be music wise, Deck said yes and Meth said no and thought that should be selling a lot more units. Only RZA, Method Man, Ghostface and Masta Killah did a freestyle at the end of the show and Big Tigga asked them about solo projects that will be coming out and they said that U-God has a new album coming out, Masta Killah has one coming out, Method Man, and Streetlife said he was coming out with a debut album soon. RZA also said that he was going to make 5 more bobby digital cds and a movie but he seemed like he was just joking around.

There is an article on Ol’ Dirty Bastard in last weeks issue of Time Magazine. There is a picture of ODB holding a bottle of Champagne at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The title of the article is I didn’t Kill My Wife!(But I Am on the Run). Here is what the article says:

“When we last heard from Ol’ Dirty Bastard, he had ducked out of a drug-treatment facility moments before a scheduled trip to Los Angeles Criminal Courthouse. Now this modern-day Dr. Richard Kimble is making his way across the country, ducking Johnny Law and helping old friends. Last Tuesday, Dirty a.k.a Russell Jones, assisted his Wu-Tang Clan mates during a concert at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Much to the surprise of the audience and some of the group’s nine members, Dirty, clutching a champagne bottle, performed two songs before addressing his faithful: ”Y’all know they had the ODB locked down, right? Well, I’m here to tell you that they can’t keep me down. Now I’m free, and I’m out there like a bird flying around, so y’all better leave some birdseed on your windowsills, because I may be flying by your house.” With that, he dropped his microphone and took wing.

Well it seems that live as a fugitive for ol' dirty is now over. He was arrested outside a macdonalds in Philly on Monday. Full stories can be seen here and here.

It seems that i was wrong what i said about the 4 extra bonus tracks in Canada. If you purchase it at hmv you get a free bonus cd with 4 tracks on it, which i didnt but i went down to hmv and checked out the rumors and its true. Here are the tracks:

Seems fredi kruga does have some wu involvment. U-god, Ghostface killah and Method man will be on his upcoming album. For some info on his status with the wu check out his website at www.un4given.co.uk.

There are video interviews with rza and inspectah deck about wu-tang fan sites on the net at aka.com

www.sonymusic.co.uk/wu-tang/ is the official wu-site of the uk

There is an interview with darkim at www.36records.com ...this is not an official wu-tang site

Cappadonna's album has been finished for the longest but it doesn't seem to be released anytime soon.

Here is some stuff that RZA and GZA said from an online chat at www.360hiphop.com...

- Wu documentary will be out sometime next year

- GZA, RZA, and odb battled-rapped jay z back in 83

- 2 of 3 episodes of the bobby digital movie is completed, and RZA hopes for a relese sometime at the end of february

- Masta Killa has 8 songs recorded for his upcoming cd, it will definatly be released in 2000

- Both RZA and GZA said that they will do another Wu album, and probably it will be called WW2

- Rza has communicated with odb, and that they will work on "the abbot and the drunk monk" as soon as dirty is free

- rza said, "50 cent is a motha fucking crumb compared to the magnitude of wu-tang." he also said that u-god and baretta 9 rolled up into a 50 cent party and that when 50 cent heard about this, he wouldn't come out to perform....still on the same topic, rza said, "90% don't live hip hop, they learned it from t.v."

- rza said that he isn't pissed at kool keith for forming the alter-ego "robby analog"... he said he has known kool keith since '88 and said "kool keith has never played with a full deck, that is why i love him."

- And for every playstation head: Rza said there is a new wu-tang video game in production but it takes atleast 1 or 2 years for games to come out

- RZA's beat machine "replicator" will be released by wu-electronics sometime in the summer

- Gravediggaz have a completed album that they are trying to release, and rza is not on it....he said, "they still our niggas, we love them."

- rza said that killah priest was in the studio last night. then rza said, "personally he's a wu brother, and the only way to get out is by death. business-wise, he made a lot of bad decisions."

Finally, Raekwon will drop a verse on Big Pun's 2nd posthumous LP.
