Crash hits and Commissioner Foley comes to the ring. Foley asks if we know what he has. Ross says one ear. Foley says he has the greatest job in the world. One week as the commish and look what' shappened. The Faction is splitting up. The WWF Stock is going through the roof. We'v e got ourselves a new WWF Champion. It certainley is a tremendous job, but as commish, he has to make jobs that make him unpopular. Foley says he hopes everyone forgives him when he bans the WORM. The crowd boos. Foley says he's just kidding. He loves that move. Foley says he does have a decision concerning the number one contender. He made a great match, but HHH and Kurt Angle screwed that up. Foley says tonight in Orlando (cheap pop from the crowd), the possibilites are wide open.
If Ya Smell and Rock joins Foley in the ring. Rock grabs a mic while Foley attempts to shake his hand. Rock tells Foley that after all the history that Rock and he has been through, the Rock says welcome back and shakes his hand. Foley says thanks and congratulats Rock on becoming 5-time WWF Champion. No Chance hits and Shane McMahon comes out on the ramp. Shane says he knows what we're all thinking. How can a normal man who sufferend knee and rib injuries at King of the Ring be standing here tonight. The answer is, a normal man couldn't, but Shane McMahon has never just been a normal man. In college, Shane was botha scholar and an athelete. He graduated valedictorian of his class and captain of both his debate and water polo team. Somehow he has endured a chokeslam at King of the Ring. He's had to endure his power hungry mother and he ego maniacal crazed maniac father embarrasing themself in public. He's also had to endure watching his own brother-in-law losing the WWF Champion without actually getting pinned. Finally, week in and week out, he's had to endure millions of people calling his baby sister a slut. Now, he has to watch the power slide through his hands to a slob named Mick Foley. Tonight, Shane's taking a stand. It should be Shane-O-Mac who takes the WWF to the next millenium and it should be Shane who decides who's the next number one contender.
Mick says it was kind of hard to hear with all these fans calling him a pussy. Foley asks if Shane said he should be the number one contender. Shane says no. Foley asks Rock if Shane is saying he wants to be number one contender. Rock says it sounds like Shane WANTS to be number one contender. Foley says he watched the tape of King of the Ring. He saw that Shane has something the Rock used to call and Foley stole it from him, called testicular fortitude. Foley is telling everyone in Orlando, FL (cheap pop from crowd) we have a new number one contender and we're going to make the match right here tonight.
Rock says Shane comes out here and runs his mouth about Independence Day and his forefathers. Like Rock's forefather, George Washington, he can't tell a lie. Rock is going to kick Shane's ass all over Orlando.
