| The PPV immediately started off with this first match. King of the Ring Tournament Quarterfinal Match Chris Benoit vs Rikishi Benoit and Rikishi started trading blows as soon as the bell rang. Samoan drop by Rikishi. Belly to back suplex by Benoit for a two count. Benoit applies a modified version of the crossface from a standing position. Benoit now takes Rikishi down to the mat and applies the crossface. Rikishi makes it to the ropes. Benoit brings a chair in the ring and nails Rikishi right in the face with it. Bell rings. Benoit continues beating on Rikishi and puts the crossface on him again. The refs pull Benoit off but he goes to the top and hits a swan dive and applies the crossface once again. Benoit finally leaves. Winner by DQ: Rikishi King of the Ring Tournament Quarterfinal Match Val Venis vs Eddie Guerrero Chyna came out with Eddie. Trish Stratus came out with Val. Match starts off with Val pushing Eddie down. Val backs Eddie into the ropes and kicks him down to the mat. Eddie dropkicks Val in the face. Knife edge chops by Val. Eddie head scissors Val to the outside. Eddie follows him out but Val drops him across the security wall. Back in the ring Eddie connects with a superplex for a two count. Drop toe hold by Eddie. Eddie dropkicks Eddie into the corner. Backslide by Eddie for a two count. Val drops an elbow for a two count. Val comes back with a backbreaker submission move. Eddie regains the advantage with a suplex. Val with a spinebuster on Eddie. Val goes to the top and tries the money shot but Eddie raises his knees. Eddie gets a two count out of it. Russian leg sweep by Val for a two count. Eddie places Val on the top turnbuckle, follows him up, and hits a huricanrana. Trish jumps on the ring apron. Chyna pulls her off. Val grabs Chyna but she knocks him down. Eddie gets a two count out of it. Val hits the fishermen's suplex for the pin. Winner: Val Venis King of the Ring Tournament Quarterfinal Match Crash Holly vs Bull Buchanan Match starts off with Bull throwing Crash out of the ring but Crash keeps coming back in. Clothesline by Bull followed up by two backbreakers. Bull chokes Crash in the corner. Vertical suplex by Bull for a two count. Big foot to the face by Bull. Crash tries to fight back but can't gain the advantage. Bull misses his bycycle kick. Crash schoolboys him for the pin. Winner: Crash Holly King of the Ring Tournament Quarterfinal Match Chris Jericho vs Kurt Angle Angle did some mic work before the match. jericho comes out and he does some mic work before the match as well. Jericho told Angle he was already the king. The king of nerds, and other insults. Match starts off with Angle beating down Jericho in the corner. Flying forearm by Jericho followed up by chops to the chest. Jericho goes up top and hits a missile dropkick for a two count. Bulldog by Jericho followed up by a lionsault. Angle got his foot on the ropes to break the count. Jericho dropkicks Angle out of the ring. Jericho follows him out and sends him into the security wall. Angle tosses Jericho into the crowd and then back over. Angle sends Jericho into the steel steps. Back in the ring Angle suplexes Jericho for a two count. Angle locks on a reverse chinlock. Backbreaker by Jericho for a two count. Angle catapults Jericho into the corner. Clothesline by Angle for a two count. German suplex by Angle for a two count. Angle kicks down Jericho in the corner. Jericho gets up and chops Angle but then walks into a big foot. Jericho connects with a top rope huricanrana. Jericho with a spinning heel kick for a two count. Angle clotheslines Jericho for a two count. Jericho gets out of the olympic slam and applies the walls of Jericho. Angle tapped out but the ref had his attention towards Stephanie, who came down to the ring. Stephanie mistakenly hits Angle with the belt. Jericho grabs Stephanie and kisses her. Angle see the opening and grabs Jericho and hits the olympic slam for the pin. Winner: Kurt Angle The cameras show Mick Foley live at WWF NY Times Square. He talks live via satellite with Ross and Lawler. Mick gave his comments on the KOTR, his haircut, and other stuff. For the Federation Tag Team Championship Too Cool vs. Edge/Christian vs. T&A vs. Hardy Boyz Match starts off with Prince Albert and Jeff Hardy. High back bodydrop by Albert on Jeff. Jeff dropkicks Albert in the face. Matt tagged in and he and Jeff double team for a few seconds. Test tagged in and press slams Matt. Lita clotheslines Trish on the outside. Matt hits the twist of fate on test. Albert breaks it up. Test powerslams Matt but Jeff makes the save with a swanton. Matt gets up and hits Test with the twist of fate for the pin. T&A are eliminated. Jeff drop toe holds Christian. Matt tagged in and hits Christian with a second rope leg drop for a two count. Edge and Jeff clothesline each other at the same time. Lita comes off the top and hits Edge with a huricanrana. Matt drops Christian to the mat for a two count. Twist of fate on Christian. Edge breaks up the count. Christian hits his inverted ddt on Matt for the pin. Hardys are eliminated. Sexay with a neckbreaker on Edge. Sexay comes off second rope with a missile dropkick on Edge. Christian with a russian leg sweep on Scotty for a two count. Scotty clotheslines Christian. Edge and Sexay tagged in. Sexay cleans house momentarily. Sexay catapults Edge into Christian. Sexay powerbombs Edge but Christian breaks it up. Edge and Christian slam Sexay to the mat. Edge and Christian went to do the double worm mock but Scotty comes in and stops them. Scotty then hits the worm on Edge. Christian hits Sexay in the back of the head with a belt. Edge pins Sexay. Winners and new world tag team champions: Edge and Christian King of the Ring Tournament Semifinal Match Rikishi vs Val Venis Match starts off on the outside with Rikishi slamming Val into the steps. Back in the ring Rikishi hits a leg drop. Rikishi hits his "back that ass up" move. Val wraps Rikishi's arm around the ring post. Val ddt's Rikishi. Val goes to the top and Rikishi catches him in a belly to belly suplex for the pin. After the match Trish jumped on Rikishi but he slammed her off. Rikishi then tried to deliver the bonzai drop to her but received a low blow shot from Val in the process. Val brings in the ring steps and hits Rikishi with it. Val then hits Rikishi's arm with a chair which was laying across the ring steps. Winner: Rikishi King of the Ring Tournament Semifinal Match Crash Holly vs Kurt Angle Match starts off with Crash taking Angle down. Powerslam by Crash for a two count. Over-head suplex by Angle. Angle with a running clothesline into the corner on Crash. Suplex by Angle for a two count. Angle catches Crash with a running knee to the mid-section. Missile dropkick by Crash for a two count. Olympic slam by Angle for the pin. Winner: Kurt Angle Hardcore Evening Gown Match Pat Patterson vs. Gerald Brisco Match starts off with Patterson giving Brisco a low blow. Patterson peels a banana and stick it in Brico's mouth. Patterson pulls a maxi-pad out of his dress and sticks it in Brisco's face. Patterson went for the stink face but Brisco nailed him between the legs. Brisco with the bronco buster on Patterson. Crash Holly comes to the ring and attacks Patterson and Brisco. Crash strips down Patterson and Brisco to their bra and panties. Crash hits Patterson in the head with a trash can and gets the pin. After the match Brisco and Patterson continued to fight till the referess broke them up. Winner and new hardcore champion: Crash Holly Handicap Table Dumpster Match Road Dogg, X-Pac & Tori vs. Dudley Boyz * For DX to win, they must lock both Dudleys in a dumpster * For the Dudleys to win, they must put all three DX members through tables Match starts off with RoadDogg attacking BuhBuh. BuhBuh hits a top rope clothesline on RoadDogg. Dvon clotheslines Xpac. Xpac hits Dvon with a spin kick. BuhBuh with a full nelson BuhBuh bomb on RoadDogg. Dvon dives off the top and hits Xpac between the legs. Dvon dives off the top again this time hitting Tori between the legs. The fight moves out into the aisle way. DX sends both the Dudleys into the side of the dumpster. DX places both Dudleys inside the dumpster but the ref does not see it as he is attending to Tori. The Dudleys make their way out of the dumpster. Dudleys sneak back into the ring and hit DX with chairs at the same time. Dudleys stack double tables up on the outside. Ring steps are placed in the ring beside the ropes where the tables are. BuhBuh buh buh bombs RoadDogg through the double tables. Spinning heel kick by Xpac on Dvon.Xpac places Dvon on a table inside the ring. BuhBuh hits the ropes and Xpac loses his balance. Dvon follows Xpac up and superplexes him through the table. Tori tries to leave the ring but has no where to go. Tori hides from the Dudleys by going inside the dumpster. DX hit the Dudleys with chairs and they fall into the dumpster with Tori. DX closes the lids and get the win. Dudleys get out of the dumpster and pull Tori out with them. 3D on Xpac and RoadDogg. Dvon brings a table into the ring with Tori's name on it. Top rope buh buh bomb through the table on Tori! Winners: Road Dogg, X-Pac & Tori Final King of the Ring Tournament Match Rikishi vs Kurt Angle Match starts off with Angle attacking Rikishi on the outside. In the ring Rikishi slams Angle. Running clothesline in the corner by Rikishi. Angle clotheslines Rikishi. Angle kicks Rikishi down in the corner. On the outside Angle sends Rikishi into the steps. Back in the ring Angle hits a sloppy running clothesline on Rikishi in the corner. Short arm clothesline by Rikishi followed up by a samoan drop. Neckbreaker by Rikishi. Stink face on Angle! Olympic slam on Rikishi for a two count. Rikishi sits on Angle after a sun set flip attempt for a two count. Rikishi goes to the top but Angle crotches him. Angle follows him up and barely hits a belly to belly suplex for the pin. Winner of the King of the Ring Tournament: Kurt Angle Six-Man Tag-Team Match Vince, Shane & Triple H vs. Rock, Undertaker & Kane * If Rock, Kane or Undertaker scores the winning fall, they become Federation Champion *If Triple H's team wins, the King of the Ring gets a title shot Match starts off with Shane attacking Kane. Kane gives Shane a free shot but it doesn't effect him. Kane chokes Shane then drops him to the mat. Shane tries to leave but UT throws him back in the ring. Kane clotheslines Shane. Kane press slams Shane. Kane grabs Shane and Vince by the throats but HHH makes the save. Rock tags himself in and has a staredown with HHH. Shane slaps Rock in the face. Rock throws him out of the ring. UT tags himself in and knocks Shane down on the outside. Back in the ring UT beats on Shane in the corner. Chokeslam by UT on Shane but Rock comes in and breaks the count. HHH tags himself in and beats on UT in the corner. UT with a high back body drop on HHH followed up by a clothesline in the corner. UT with a boot to the face for a two count. DDT by UT on HHH. Kane breaks the count. Rock tags himself in and tosses Shane in over the top rope. Rock knocks Vince and HHH off the ring apron. HHH pulls the ropes down and Rock ends up on the outside. Brawl on the outside of the ring. Rock slams HHH's head on to the announce table. HHH clotheslines Rock. HHH and rock go back into the ring and Rock hits a swinging neckbreaker. Pedigree by HHH on Rock. UT breaks the count. UT pulls HHH to the outside where he posts him. UT throws HHH back in the ring. Kane gets back on the apron. HHH clotheslines Rock and kicks him down in the corner. Shane tagged in and knocks the Rock down with a flying elbow. Left hand jabbs by Shane. HHH hangs Rock on the ropes. Shane clotheslines Rock. HHH tags in and suplexes Rock and drops a knee to the forehead for a two count. HHH goes up top but rock catches him in the mid-section coming off. Neckbreaker by HHH. Kane breaks the count. Vince tags in while HHH holds the Rock for Vince to hit. Vince hots Rock with a low blow for a two count. HHH tags back in and exchanges punches with Rock. Samoan drop by Rock. Shane breaks the count. UT pulls Shane out the ring while Kane pulls Vince out. In the ring HHH hits Rock with a facebuster. Kane throws UT into the steps on the outside. Spinebuster by Rock on HHH. Kane stops the people's elbow with a chokeslam. HHH gives Kane a thumbs up. HHH turns his back to Kane. Kane grabs HHH and tombstones him but UT breaks up the count and drags Kane out the ring. UT throws Kane into the steps. UT grabs a chair and hits Kane in the head with it. Shane went up top to hit Rock but UT caught him with a chokeslam through the table off the top rope. Vince tries to do the people's elbow on Rock but Rock gets up and hits him with the rock bottom for the pin. The PPV ends with Rock in the ring staring at everyone leaving. Winner and new WWF World Heavyweight Champion: The Rock |
