Monday Night Raw Report / Heat Results / Fully Loaded Results
Heat Tapings / Raw Tapings / Shotgun Tapings
According to Lucas of WWF.COM, a special tag team elimination round robin style match has been added to Summerslam, in a match where the winner of the match will be the number one contender for the Tag Team Titles. The format of the match is not known, but the participants will be Edge and Christian, (spoilers) The Hardcore Holly's, Droz and Prince Albert, Val Venis and The Godfather, Viscera and Mideon, The Acolytes and The Hardy Boyz.
In a dark match at the Raw Tapings, Vic Grimes (the man in white) wrestled under the name "G". He may be the man behind "G-TV".
Mikey G is reporting that the reason Terri may be dropped by Meat may be a push ensued by the WWF booking team. Rumors have been going around she's behind G-TV [Girl TV] Catching Men at their most romantic, embaressing, humiliating, + out of control moods. The drop from PMS would definitly put her somewhere mainstream, and I expect her to find a new "lover" soon.
The recent word backstage in the WWF locker room is that HBK will be indeed Stevie Richard's bodyguard!! He will be Stevie's mentor, and in fact groom him to be the next Heartbreak Kid. (Michael Lynch)

Some rumors are going around that HHH and HBK are going to reform the DX of old at Summerslam.
Howard Stern, "The King Of All Media", has allegedly inked a deal with the WWF to appear at the "Survivor Series". Negotiations were kept top-secret, but koam.com has acquired the terms of the alleged contract, which stipulates...
Howard will make an announcing appearance at the PPV, and in return, many WWF alumni will appear on his radio show. Howard is expected to announce the news on his show this Thursday.
According to Lucas at WWF.com, Stevie Richards SIGNED with the WWF after he got clearance to wrestle.
Debra has recently been no-showing House shows that Steve Austin doesn't appear at. Apparently, she has been at their house in Texas keeping him company while he was recovering from an injury that he suffered two weeks ago. It has been said that Vince McMahon has acted nonchalantly about it, but some feel that this is because McMahon doesn't want to upset Austin. There are people in the WWF that believe that Debra's push will suffer if and when she and Austin are no longer an item. (Huffman)
Wade Keller says Stone Cold Steve Austin has been frustrating WWF management lately, after he had continued to veto ideas for television matches.
On the 7/26 Raw is War from Cleveland, Ohio, management proposed an Austin vs. Jeff Jarrett short singles match, which would result in Triple H interfering. Austin vetoed the match. Management then proposed an alternate plan of Austin taking on Mr. Ass, which would also result in Triple interfering, but Austin turned that down. Austin's argument was that Jarrett and Ass weren't over enough yet to deserve the rub of fighting him on television, which automatically destroys the potential program between Jarrett and Austin. The next day at the Raw Tapings in Columbus, Ohio, Austin turned down the idea of wrestling in a handicap-tag team match of he and The Rock against Ass, Triple H, and Chyna. Management instead decided on another Austin vs. The Undertaker match, which resulted in lower-quarter hour ratings.
With The Big Bossman defeating Al Snow last week to become a 2-time WWF Hardcore Champion, you'd think the bossman couldn't be happier to be finally wearing some metal in the WWF after over 5 years of nothing during his first WWF stint during the late 80's/early 90's. Well apparently, such isn't the case. The Bossman, like many others, wants out of the Hardcore division. The damage it does to his body and the time it takes off his career in the long run just doesn't seem worth it for the big guy, so expect a new WWF Hardcore Champion to be crowned by SummerSlam. (Mike Shalik)
Skull and 8-Ball of DOA have been released from their WWF contracts, according to Lucas of WWF.COM. There is no word yet whether DOA will finish up any dates, or whether the termination is an immediate one.
Dave Meltzer reported that Goldust (Dustin Runnels) suggested to Vince McMahon that he wanted an operation to have breast implants put in his chest, and even have the operation filmed for television, so he could take the Goldust character to a new level. McMahon wasn't willing to go that far and Runnels felt that the WWF weren't giving him a chance to reach his potential, which led to his exit.
Everyone knows that the Millennium Counter from RAW will hit 00:00 Monday night, Edge may eventually drop the gothic gimmick and wrestle under his real name Adam Copeland. (Sister Midnight)
Duane Gill, as Gillberg, has been defending the WWF Light Heavyweight Title at recent independent shows. WWF trainee, Erin O'Grady, along with Stevie Richards (who is basically WWF bound after getting medical clearance to wrestle and going through major negotiations with the company), Sho Fuanki, Papi Chulo, and Taka Michinoku will be part of the Light Heavyweight division WWF is hoping to expand on (looks like Terry Taylor could have been successful on his proposal of building up the division once again). (Wade Keller)
Mark Henry is taking a ton of heat, because he weighed in at more than 400 pounds and WWF wants him preferably around 340, but have told him they would like him at just 350. The angle on television where we see Henry as a person who has high blood pressure and is trying to train to drop his weight is probably punishment. Henry and D-Lo Brown will soon be splitting up, as D-Lo will be given a full singles push. The company wants D-Lo after 250 pounds, who was about 257 at the last weigh-in. (Coliins)
At Summerslam, it is said, that Triple H will defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin for the Heavyweight Title, thus giving him his first WWF Heavyweight Title reign. (JF)
The producers of CBS' "Nash Bridges" want Austin for several episodes next season, although nothing has officially been decided on the matter. (The Ross Report)
Brian Christopher's knee is doing very well because of his rehabilitation. No return date, however, has been set for Christopher's return to the ring. (The Ross Report)
The Big Show is being encouraged to work harder on his conditioning, so that he will be prepared to become the player when WWF needs him to be when that time comes. (The Ross Report)
Ross confirmed WWF's talks with The Dudley Boyz. Nothing has been signed yet, but as Meltzer pointed out, The Dudleys made a verbal agreement with Ross. (The Ross Report)
The Dudley Boyz are pushing for the WWF to hire Sign Guy Dudley, although another member of The Dudley's, Joel Gertner, would not follow the tag team into the company. Madden says WWF is hiring The Dudley's because of ECW's national television exposure. (WCW Hotline)
Mr. Ass has not signed a contract extension, as his new contract signed a few months ago has several years remaining. Ross says the WWF is counting on Ass to move to the next level in the near future, which will be Ass' decision. (The Ross Report)
WWF has not made an offer to Glacier and is not expected to do so. (The Ross Report)
Vince McMahon is not scheduled to return to WWF television, including Smackdown. (The Ross Report)
The Headshrinkers and Yokozuna are not scheduled to return to the WWF any time soon, although Fatu should be back on television in the future. (The Ross Report)
Criminal charges will not be filed in the death of professional wrestler Owen Hart. (De Leon)
The word is that Mick Foley will not be as hardcore upon his return, from the chairshots to the big dives, but rather more technical and tamer.(WCW Hotline)
Mike Collins is reporting that in the upcoming weeks on GTV, it will expose the relationship between Debra and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. This would be the last of the GTV segments, because Austin would get mad and find the person behind it all. The WWF still isn't sure who they are going to have play the person behind it all. Expect this to spark an even more heated feud between Jeff Jarrett and Steve Austin. Debra being seen with Austin by Jarrett will enhance the feud to greater heights than what it is at the moment.
Justin Fritz seems to think that Gangrel will be the man behind G-TV. With Goldust being recently released, and the Godfather doing his own thing, GTV will most likely turn out to be Gangrel TV. Gangrel will not have much of a role after SummerSlam.
Undertaker is having problems with both hips, and may require surgery to repair (or replace) them. (Wade Keller)
The UPN Network will be airing a special 1-hour preview for Smack Down! The day before the program airs. The preview will air on Wednesday, August 25, 1999 and it will be a special "Get to Know" WWF program for all of the new fans tuning in and will give a brief history of the WWF and what it's like. The WWF is thinking of purchasing ads with top stars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and The Big Show and put them up on giant billboards across the U.S. to let more people know about Smack Down! and the WWF in general. (George Epstein)
According to WWF.COM, two of the Federation's successful syndicated programs will get a shot of Attitude! "WWF Metal" (which will replace WWF Shotgun) and "WWF Jakked" (replacing Shotgun Saturday Night) will be the latest programs fans can look forward to this upcoming fall season. In addition to their new titles, the shows will offer a variety of new segments and features.
Jesse Ventura is going to ref. a match at Summer Slam. It is highly unlikely that he will fight anyone, if he does, the WWF may get another wrestler back for a one-time appearance to compete with him. Expect more than modern day wrestling fans to order Summer Slam to see Jesse Ventura.(Eric James)
Chaz and Glenn Ruth will be reunited in the near future, but not as the Headbangers. (Ross Report)
WWF Bookers think they might work the IC title into TV more, and make more a of demand for matches with it. They feel it's not getting enough attention and it's there second best title. (Eric James)
Giant Silva's current WWF deal involves him alternating from working a few weeks at a time in Mexico, then coming home to New Jersey for 4 to 6 weeks. (Sister Midnight)
High Road Productions the company that did "Wrestling with Shadows", the Bret Hart documentary will be producing a one hour biography special on Owen Hart airing on A&E.(Sister Midnight)
The WWF is close to securing a marketing relationship with the National Football League. (JR)
The Undertaker is scheduled to make an appearance on MTV's hugely popular Celebrity Deathmatch program.(WWF.com)
Luna Vachon may be headed back to the WWF, Vince Russo, head WWF booker, wants Luna involved in a "Tatoo & Piercing" stable with Droz, and Prince Albert (Ray Kim)
WCW Rumors
If rumors are correct about Dan Severn entering the WCW, he may be used as Randy Savages NEW Bodyguard, replacing Sid, thus starting a feud between the two almost as soon as he enters. (Mikey G.)
Card for ROAD WILD
Retirement Match for the World Title: Hollywood Hogan vs. Kevin Nash
Sting vs. Sid Vicious
Non-Title Grudge Match: Goldberg vs. Rick Steiner
Tag Team Title Match: Harlem Heat vs. The Triad
"No DQ" U.S. Title Match: Chris Benoit vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Randy Savage vs. Dennis Rodman
Buff Bagwell vs. The Cat w/ Sonny Onoo
Vampiro and ICP with Raven vs. Eddy Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Kidman
The Texas Rednecks vs. The Revolution
Judging by a recent interview with Tom Misnik, Raven would apparently like to go back to ECW, but he is under contract for quite a while. (Dave Scherer)
Dustin Rhodes will be at the Road Wild pay per view as he is traveling with the company now and is in negotiations for a contract. WCW Live reports that he will be backstage and could possibly be making a on air appearance.
Micasa reports that Hugh Morrus threw a fit backstage, smashing tables, because Violent J used a moonsault as his finisher. The moonsault is Morrus' finisher. Sources in the dressing room said Bischoff first sided with Morrus, but he later apologized to ICP. Kevin Sullivan was also said to have sided with Morrus. Vampiro was also caught in the mix because he was blamed for calling the match, but after some posturing, Mike Graham (booker and road agent) admitted that he was the culprit.
According to Bob Ryder, Fit Finlay has not regained any feeling in his lower leg after undergoing surgery last month when he suffered a deep cut that severed nerves in his leg. Finlay had the surgery following the injury to attempt to repair the damage, but an infection set in a few days later. Doctors were able to treat the infection, but additional surgery maybe required.
On WCW Live, Bob Ryder announced that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff had an hour long meeting prior to Nitro, with Hogan telling Bischoff that he is seriously considering retirement. One of the reasons is that Hogan's knee surgery from a couple months ago did not fully fix the injury, and is not healed yet. This announcement could be the reason for the World title match on Saturday being named a "Retirement Match", as well as for Hogan giving it one last run as the Hulkster.
Meng is expected to return to WCW television as the bodyguard of David Flair. (De Leon)
Two WCW technicians were hospitalizedin LaCrosse, Wisconsin after a pyro explosion went off near the Thunder set that wasn't supposed to. Some of the pyro was delayed that night. (De Leon)
It looks like the only publicity WCW is getting out of Dennis Rodman is negative. He has been vocal about basically being in wrestling for the money. (De Leon)
At this point, Bret Hart is scheduled to appear on the August 16th Nitro from Colorado Springs.(Huffman)
According to Dave Meltzer, Kevin Nash is trying to position the World title angle in WCW to where he gets the title from Hart before the end of the year, in exchange for putting Hogan over at Road Wild. Nash was real upset at last week's Nitro because he wanted to team with Rick Steiner against Hogan & Sting. He had Vicious booked to squash Chase Tatum, but as the show went on Bischoff pulled the switch figuring that putting Sid in the match would be better for the ratings.
The Insane Clown Posse originally signed a contract for ten appearances with WCW, but word is that Eric Bischoff is already interested in renewing it. Bischoff is apparently happy with the success and response that their angle has received so far and would like to add additional dates to their deals. (Meltzr)
Dan Severn is reportedly in talks with WCW. (Collins)
Many people are expecting Buff Bagwell and The Cat to work very stiff on each other at Road Wild, since the two have legitimate heat with each other ever since Buff's portrayal of a black man. None the less, expect Buff to win the match. (Jacobson)
TRC is reporting that the bad blood between ICP and KISS, mostly on ICPs side, may spill over into some angle on WCW TV. ICP has stated that they plan on 'confronting' Gene Simmons, the target of their malice, at the August 23 Nitro.
Vampiro will be part of ICP's next video, where he will be playing guitar during the video. He will be wrestling Eddy Guerrero at Road Wild, and ICP will be performing live at the show. (Jacobson)
The plan now is to have Brian Adams play Demon, representing Gene Simmons of KISS, instead of Dale Torberg. (De Leon)
Most of the WCW locker room feel that it is nearly impossible to get the booking committee to take a suggestion. Others fear if they come up with a better idea than the committee, it may be perceived that they are attempting to show them up. (De Leon)
Newer contracts for some WCW wrestlers have a clause that cuts their pay if they are injured on the job and are off the road for more than 30 days. Older contracts call for the clause to kick in after 90 days. A lot of the wrestlers are still upset because they believe the action wouldn't be taken against the top names. (De Leon)
Master P.'s relationship with WCW is officially over. Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr. have been pulled out of The No Limit Soldiers group, which will now become a jobber group. There is some attempt to pull Brad Armstrong out of the group and put him with Mysterio, Konnan, and Eddie Guerrero. (De Leon)
Bam Bam Bigelow may have a back injury that was worse than originally thought, but it probably won't affect his style. Many wrestlers credit him for being one of the few in the locker room who fights through pain because he truly enjoys working. (De Leon)
Randy Savage's WCW contract expires at the end of the year, but the WWF probably wouldn't be interested in him, but WCW is expected to give him a 50 to 75 percent raise.(WCW Hotline)
Goldberg and WCW are said to be completely cohesive again with Goldberg even back on the road wrestling House shows with Diamond Dallas Page. Part of Goldberg's new agreement with WCW is said to be a World title win by the end of the year. (Huffman)
This was excerpted from the WCW LIVE! show with Special guest Mean Gene Okerlund. "[Gene] also said that he may not be interested in renewing his contract when it expires in the next couple of months. Gene believes that with Vince McMahon's input, that he will become a huge star."
Finlay suffered a severely lacerated left leg in a hardcore match with Brian Knobs. Also according to Scherer, the injury was a deep cut just below the knee, where it severed a nerve. Finlay underwent surgery late Sunday night/early Monday morning to attempt to repair the nerve.
Juventud Guerrera was banged up after the 7/5 Georgia Dome Nitro after Randy Savage landed on him with the Big Elbow. He was okay a few days later to see his wife give birth. Savage lands way too hard on others when executing the maneuver to basically protect his knee. (De Leon)
Disco Inferno may be involved in an angle where he gets amnesia caused by Ernest "The Cat" Miller's loaded red shoe Disco would forget about his past "Disco Dancing" gimmick, and wake up believing he is a Roddy Piper/Hollywood Hogan type superstar from the 80's. He'll cut interviews talking about the "young guns" and how they haven't earned the big matches and offer his peers a breakthrough bout. (WCW Hotline)
WCW will be filming another video with Curt Hennig and the West Texas Rednecks in the near future. The topic won't be Rap but may set them up with a new angle. (WCW Hotline)
Meltzer says Dustin (Goldust) and Terri Runnels are getting divorced. Terri was apparently the one of the causes for the disagreements between Dustin and his father Dusty Rhodes. With the divorce, and Rhodes as a booker in WCW, Dustin has a strong chance of showing up in WCW. Hollywood Hogan wants to use him as part of upcoming The Four Horsemen angle.
Wade Keller reports that WCW may be interested in bringing in 2 Cold Scorpio.
Scott Hall's WCW return has been delayed, possibly because he is in trouble for appearing at the 7/11 ECW show in Orlando, Florida. (DeLeon)
Diamond Dallas Page was contacted by the representatives of the Bruce Springsteen band, who are aware of The Triad gimmick, and was told he he can show up at any of their upcoming shows as a guest. (Meltzer)
