Cunning, confident, cut-throat -- that's Curt Hennig, one of the greatest wrestling talents ever to hail from the pro wrestling mecca of Minnesota.
Pro wrestling flows thick in Curt Hennig's veins, compliments of a pro wrestling father, Larry "The Ax." But it took a grueling stint at Verne Gagne Wrestling Camp to seal his future vocation. This eye-opening experience motivated him to spurn collegiate offers in football, baseball and wrestling after a stellar prep career.
Earning several world heavyweight and tag team titles, Hennig is a no-nonsense competitor that gets the job done. Inducted into Cauliflower Alley, which honors wrestling's greats, Hennig and "The Ax" are the only father-son tandem to be honored.
In 1999, Hennig formed the West Texas Rednecks, along with The Windham brothers and the late Bobby Duncum, Jr. The group was a favorite to fans around the world as they performed their smash hit, "I Hate Rap."
After a brief hiatus, Hennig has returned to WCW rings, standing beside the likes of Buff Bagwell, and even the one and only, Hulk Hogan to fight against the nWo and Team package.
