OBJECT: to "stab" your opponent without being "stabbed". ANAPOLIS RED WASHABLE MARKERS are used for "blades". We usually use 2 per person -- one in each hand.
RULES vary, but, "Blade Fighting" basically means that we are using ONLY BLADES as our weapons. "Blade Fighting" can be either "Single" (one marker per person) or "Double" (two markers per person). "Blade Fighting" is sometimes combined with other WRESPON styles. Gear varies according to the rules, but, the cup or bra, and single mouth-piece are standard. The head is either OFF LIMITS, or goggles and/or some type of head gear are used.
Generally a "Blade Fighting" match consists of several rounds. A round ends when one person is stabbed. After you stab someone, you must remain unstabbed yourself until the ref counts to 3. If you are stabbed in return, the round ends, but, no one scores. If you stab your opponent, and escape being stabbed in return, the round ends, and you have 1 point. A NEW round begins. The match ends when someone has 2 points.
