Friendly Foes

Wearing masks can actually pay off! If you wear the bunny mask while outside in the Hyrule Field, the skeletons will not come out. If you wear the skull mask in dungeons, bats won't bother you!

Unbreakable Deku Sticks

Go to any place that has a cliff and another cliff beside it. Jump off the cliff with a Deku Stick in your hands. Press the C button that has the Deku Sticks and he will do a double damage swing with it. Half will pop off but you will have half of a stick that is unbreakable!

Gossip Stone Fun

There are many secrets with the Gossip Stones hidden all over the land of Hyrule. Here is what happens when you shoot or hit a Gossip with a weapon.

Ice/Fire/Light Arrow - The stone will spin around really fast, then it will grow tall, the return to normal.

Megaton Hammer - It will get totally flat, then return to normal.

Bomb or Bombchu - It will flash in a countdown then launch into the sky.

Sword (Any One) - It will tell you the time.

Hook/Longshot/Slingshot - It will dance!

Din's Fire - Same as Fire arrows but this one can sometimes make them spit out ruppies

Epona Cam

First do the swordless Link trick then hop on Epona. Have your deku nuts equiped to a "C" button. While riding uphill hold "Z", then press the "C" button with the deku nuts equiped on it. If the camera stays behind Epona you when you fall off you did it right. Now the camera will stay behind Epona instead of you. Press "A" when you want Link to reappear on screen. PS: Thanks to Wes Campbell for his help!

Link's Perspective

This allows you to play the game through Links Perspective! First do the swordless Link trick. Then the Epona trick. Once you finished that take out ethier your hookshot or bow and shoot. Then throw a deku seed and you will be in links perspective. You can now see the bangs from the top of your head you can run around like this. It makes you fell like the real Link!

Shield Trick

This is a wierd trick that allows you to be in the position of holding a deku shield but using the Hylian shield. First off get out your deku shield and hold [ R ] now hit the Start button and go to the equipment subscreen, select the Hylian shield. Press start again (still holding [ R ].) and you should be holding your arm in front of you while having the Hylian shieldon your back. If you try this the other way around you'll have the Deku shield in front of you but you'll be a foot off the ground.

Bottles Cheat Trick

I discovered this code after using the 24 bottles cheat. If you change something like your Deku Nuts (which I consider useless) to a bottle and want them back all you have to do is buy some Deku Nuts from a shop or Business Scrub or you can find them all over Hyrule. This trick works with all items that can be collected (deku nuts, magic beans, bombs, arrows, etc.)

*Also, if you change the Claim Check to a bottle, you can't use it as a child.

Swordless Link 2

To do this, you must first do the Fishing Trick where you get your pole out of the pond (Below). Go across the narrow part of the lake to the right of the fishing place. Go to a spot between the fence where the scarecrows are and the wall. Pull out the fishing rod and cast. Link will sit there like hes fishing. Save your game. If this trick worked there will be a Deku stick where your sword should be. In the menu the Master Sword will be gone. Don't try and pull out a Deku stick because it will freeze and you will have to turn the power off and then back on (reset wont work). The way to get your sword back is to put it back in the Temple of Time and then pull it out again. Dont do this with Biggorons sword. If you do it will still be in the menu but you cant select it and Biggoron wont give you another one.

Potion from the Sun

This is just a simple trick. Does everyone remember where they first found the Fire Arrows? Stand on the island in Lake Hylia near to the inscription that hints at how to receive the Fire Arrows. Wait for the morning sun to be rising over the horizon, then shoot a normal arrow over the island in the distance and into the sun, just like what you did to get the Fire Arrows, and one of those small green potions will drop down that will partially recover your magic meter.

Double Chicken Noise

I have found a strange code In Zelda. First you have to be an kid. Then you have to leave the temple of time AT NIGHT. Next you go past the Grottos and down the stairs. You should see a bunch of dogs in the market. Play the Sun's Song. It should go to day and you will hear two cuccos crowing at the same time!

Never Run Out of Bugs

This trick is useful when trying to get the gold skulltulas out of the dirt patches, but can never find bugs to do it. The first thing you must do is find a bug (find under rocks in the first tree when you enter Hyrule Castle) Then when you have a bug, go drop it on a dirt patch. As you now three bugs will come out. But don't let them all dig into the ground. Catch one before it goes under (You will still make the gold skulltula come out) If done right, you will still have a bug. The best part is you will still have three!!!

Suicide By Runner

While you are a child, go to Hyrule Field during the day. If and when you see the running man, stand a distance in front of where he is going to run. Then, when he hits you can get anywhere from 5-3 hearts COMPLETELY taken away!

Cuccos Can't Hurt You!

This trick works only while your an adult and ON (NOT OFF, or you'll get killed) Epona. Anyway, after getting Epona, go back to Lon Lon Ranch (preferable after you wake Talon and tell him the whereabouts of Malon), then after you enter the ranch with Epona, go to the beggining of the ranch's field, and turn left, you'll see about 5 cuccos there, while you're still on you steady stallion, Epona, ram a cucco until it does it's war cry and summons all of its friends. After this, you'll see about 5 more cuccos flying from nowhere trying to kill you, But they cant!!! If you ride around while the cuccos are perusing you, you can witness this huge flock of blood-lusty cuccos after you. If you stop and turn around, you can see all the birds flying by you, and then they turn around and chase you again. What fun for a board person, Huh?

Pot Armor

This glitch is just something I found by only moving around. After searching the internet I noticed no one else found it. It is not much, but it is fun, so if you want a big, "important" glitch, then leave this alone. Here is goes...

First, I have found this out in the small room in the Desert, which is where you find the "Poe of the Desert". If you can find any other places to do this, then you can try it there as well, if it works. Now when you fall into the room, equip the Hover boots then stand on the part of the floor that is a bit higher then the rest and has the 2 torches and the treasure chest on it. Look at one of the pots then run to it with the Hover Boots still equipped. Now, the problem is, you need to move around, trying to move over the other pot or try "rolling" exactly before you fall down and land. It may take quite a few tries, but if you're lucky, the pot will slip through your arms and will cover Link's entire chest, making it look like he's wearing it. You can run around and all, but if you press A, then you will throw the pot off you. There are other places to try this fun glitch at, so try searching for other places that seem to make this glitch work.

Ghost Cuccos

Go to Kariko village and go up to any cuco that is wandering around. If you are an adult and don't wanna go back in time, just use your longshot to get the Cuco in the top of the wind mill. Hit the Cucco until he gets mad and calls his buddies. As soon as the other cuccos come, head for the well. Once you're at the bottom, you should hear the angry cuccos, and if you look up with C-UP, you should see a bunch of cuccos coming down the well, but if you look at the floor, there will be no cuccos around. The magicly disappear!! Good luck getting back up out of the well, by the time you get half way up they'll come and knock you down.

Temple of Time Mask Glitch

After becoming an adult,go back to the Temple of Time and be a kid again. Then, put on any mask and warp with the Master's sword. You should notice the mask will stay on even as the animation is going on!!

Cheat in the Dampe Race

It is possible to stop the timer for a few seconds in the second race against Dampe. This trick can be done by playing warp songs while you are racing. The game will tell you that you cannot warp here, but you will be able to run while it says this and even a second or 2 after. You can do this as many times as you want.

Secret Bowser Head

Change Names From English To Japenese

In order to do this, go to the name-select screen and start a new game. Once the page comes up (where you choose your letters) gently and slowly lift up on the left side of your game pak, until the sound is slightly obscured. Now, with the game pak still ajar, select any name you desire and enter it in. After this is done, hit "end" and gently push your game pak back into the n64 console. Then shut off your n64 and start it up again ... ... If you followed the directions right then the next time you go to the name-select screen all of the text will be written in Japanese. The strangest thing though, is that if you start a game (one that was saved in the past), the in-game text will still be in English! Though, when it comes to the newly saved game, if you start it up again it will almost immediately freeze on you. Also, Note: If you do not want your names to remain in Japanese, then don't try this trick! The only way to change the names back to English is by erasing the saved games and starting them over.

VIDEO GAMER X'S PROGRAMMERS DEBUG CODE
In extange for the loss of the Miyamoto interview I will unveil something Nintendo doesn't want anybody besides it's elite testers and game programmers who work for them to know about (no I'm not one of them). This code is super TOP SECRET. Video Gamer X is not going to divulge how he obtained this code, but rest assured he had to infiltrate Nintendo HQ as an undercover double agent black operative to bring forth this little number. (Lots of Security Clearances, and ID scans, and stuff) Only 30 people in the world knew of this code, I became the 31st, now today I will release this Classified Info to the whole internet here on my site "The Odyssey of Hyrule". By releasing this code though I want it to forever be called "Video Gamer X's Code" and if you (webmasters) decide to mention this code on your site then It must be called that, and a Link must be provided to "The Odyssey of Hyrule". Whelp, (Nintendo's gonna hate me for this) here's Video Gamer X's Programmers Debug Code.
Start a game in the temple of time, Then Gently and SLOWLY pull up on the left side of the game pak, like you did in CROOKED CARTRIDGE. If you do it slow enough, the computer will become lagged and link will jump all over the screen and the sound will become very corrupted. If you let this happen for a few seconds (you may have to try to move link (or what used to be link) around, the n64's processor will become lagged and the game will lock up. ( This is going to be a diffrent lockup then usual, as you will see in the screenshots) - there is going to be a small-yellow-bar that will appear in the top left of the screen.....
When you get the small yellow bar to appear there are some commands that you need to input on the controller to get the "Debug" code to appear on the screen (this will also show the release date for the game you have...... )
Follow these steps:
* L button + R button + Z button
* Control pad UP + "C" DOWN
* "C" UP + Control pad DOWN
* Control pad LEFT + "C" button left
* "C" RIGHT + Control pad RIGHT
* A button + B button + Start Button

The debug/error code will not be shown unless you push each button. Example: in the first step you must push the Z button while HOLDING the L and the R.

Swordless Link For Gray Version

Here's how to get rid of the Master Sword in the "Fixed" version.
1.Get to Ganon.
2.Let him kill you 2 or 3 times WITHOUT geting the sword.
3.If the next time you start without the sword BUT have it on the equipment screen you did it right,now save and restart.

Easier way to get epona
The easier way is to first race ingo twice & win her. then when your trapped
inside the ranch just save it & turn the system off . now turn it back on
& you'll be in the temple of time . go to about the middle of hyrule field (
far away from the market ) and play eponas song she will come to you & you
will have her
