| "Do I not bleed when pricked? Do I not scream when scared? Do I not fall when pushed? And do I not cry when hurt?" These are questions you should ask yourself right now. Is it worth it to hurt someone just like me?? Racism has been going on for centuries now...forever. And it's time we stopped. Everyone has said it: Stop Racism! Racism Sucks! Isn't it time we listend to them?? I heard acouple months ago of a white man who dragged a black man behind his truck on a dirt rode until he was dead. A classic case of racism. His hands were literally torn off. Now just think how you would feel if you were in that poor black man's position...A fight occurs between you and this white man. He ties your hands behind his truck. You know what's going to happen and you are scared to death. He starts driving. You are on a dirt rode and the sharp pebbles cut through your body like knives. He goes faster and faster. You are in so much pain and you know you are going to die. Your skin peels away from your body. And all you can think of is your family and your friends and your life. You wonder what would have happend if you would have lived to see tommorow. You ache to see tommorow. Your slowly slipping away as you think goodbye everyone.....I'll see you in the after life. The pain is surging through your body, your hands or slowly disconnecting.........and your gone. Now you know how it must feel to have been him. Or do you? The only way you could acctually know how that poor man felt was if it happens to you. And it very well could. I hear of racist acts every day, lots of them of whites attacking the coloured. But it's not just us white folk, it's also the coloureds attacking us. But there is a reason for that. The slaves. If their people weren't put to slavery maybe all of this could have been salvaged. But we can't change the past. So maybe we can change the future. Please try to forget the past and look past skin colour, because there is a person just like you under their skin. Who knows maybe this war will never end between skin colour, maybe it will always be person vs person. Lets hope not. Please follow your heart and do what's right. |
