ITN Online is also reporting that Britney has become such a popular face
in mainstream British culture that her name is the latest fashionable
phrase for cockney 'geezers'. Apparently visitors to certain East London
pubs would be met with a straight face if they asked the barman for a
"couple of Britneys, please". Website Londonslang.com says that the
Louisiana singer's name rhymes with beer, and is already getting use by
the trendiest of East Enders. ITN also reported that Britney is adding the
guitar to her undeniable list of talents as a dancer and singer. The teen
singing sensation wants to become a strumming sensation too, but has
already admitted that she is more of a three chord wonder than a rival for
Eric Clapton. Yahoo reporting that the details for 'N Sync's Challenge for
the Children II charity basketball game have just been announced. The
second annual basketball game will take place on July 29 at St. John's
University in New York. Our dear Britney has been invited as a guest, but
has not yet RSVPed. Her tour schedule has her in Phoenix, Arizona that
night at the Desert Sky Pavillion. Britney also moved back to No. 2,
selling almost 370,000 more copies of Oops!

South China Morning Post reporting that Britney Spears has an expensive
habit: coffee. The entertainer had her weakness revealed by tour manager
Johnny Wright. But Spears does not like just any coffee. She insists on a
particular brew, spending more than $10,000 a week to get it. "Sometimes
we have to send a private jet off to get her kind of coffee. Then if it
isn't warm when it arrives, that is the next problem," Wright said. Now
coffee firm Marotte is developing a "care package" so Spears never has to
worry about running out of her fix. Last week Johnny Wright has mentioned
this on the FOX special, but as a joke. So don't take this too seriously.
That's the news for now. As always, be sure to check out
www.britneyspears.org for all the latest Britney news :)
"Sometimes Britney will say something and it reminds me exactly of Lynne
when she was that age. Even the way she says it! They're just two of a
kind." ~Sandra Covington, aunt

Dotmusic reported that our dear Britney received an indecent proposal to
lose her virginity to a businessman for $12 million. Spears was outraged
and vowed to maintain her purity until she was married. The indecent
proposal from an un-named man was made through Spears' record company and
left her seething. "It's a disgusting offer," said a fuming Spears. Some
people just have no manners, huh?

The Fox Summer Concert Series went native tonight by airing Britney in
Hawaii. Britney performed mostly material from the first album, with the
exception of "Oops!...I Did It Again" and "Don't Let Me Be The Last To
Know." In a chat following the concert, Britney announced that "Lucky"
will be the next single, not "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know." Britney
also
admitted to wearing "falsies" in her "Oops!...I Did It Again" video
because the red-vinyl catsuit made her look flat.

Britney told Dotmusic that fans attending her summer tour will be in for
quite a treat...it has a Broadway theme! She said fans could expect a lot
of costume changes and outrageous sets. She explained: "There is more of a
theme throughout the show, it's like a story where everything flows
together - like a Broadway show almost. "The sets are really amazing, I
have a one bedroom set that is really cartoonish-looking. The show just
flows really, really well and the costumes are amazing, there are a lot of
costumes and quick changes." Also, be sure to check out:

The new CBS hit, "Survivor", turned out to be the top rated show on
Wednesday night. Britney's Fox special was #3...just behind "Who Wants To
Be A Millionaire." Sonicnet.com reporting that Britney Spears wants to
rock or at least that's what the teen singer would be doing if she wasn't
turning out pop hits, she told fans in an online chat Wednesday. "I'm
taking guitar lessons now, so in the future I would love to play guitar,"
the singer said during a half-hour chat at FOX.com. "I've only had one
lesson; I'm pretty bad right now." Her rock leanings were further revealed
when she named her cover of the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No)
Satisfaction" as one of her favorite songs she's recorded. She named
Prince's "Purple Rain" as the next song she'd like to cover. She said she
enjoyed her new album more than the first because she had more control,
co-writing the track "Dear Diary". "I have a lot of songs I'm writing,"
Spears said, though she did not mention plans for her next album, adding
that she wants to rest after completing her summer tour. Her tour, which
kicks off June 20 in Columbia, Md., will feature elaborate choreography,
she said. Some of the songs she plans to perform include "What You See Is
What You Get," "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," "(I Can't Get No)
Satisfaction," "Don't Go Knockin' on My Door" and "Lucky," which she said
will be her next single.
