If your spell and/or Ritual uses Candles, remember that including Black and White candles is best. Black will protect you, and white will inhance the spell/ritual.
When using candles ALWAYS use a holder (even if your going to hold the candle, and if you think the wax is going to spill over the holder, lay a piece of paper under the holder. This doesnt look as orangized and pretty as some "altar people" like their altar to look, but it is the safe way to go.
When your done with the candles, always use a snuffer or 2 wet fingers to put the flame out. If you just blow it out, you will more than likely change the effect of what you just did.
Wood matches are best to light candles with, but its understandable if you only have a lighter. When I was using my lighter, i would light a twig or something wood on fire, to light my candles, but this can be kind of dangerous, and best left alone. *grin* |
