Every smell has a different effect on the body and mind. What few aromas you will see on this page are personal favorites that i use just about every day!
Note: A few people have e-mailed me wanting to know about incense sticks/cones/powder, and if there is any way to NOT use it, but, use something else as a replacement.
I know that for some people it is hard to take the smoke of incense sticks, cones, and powder. If this is you, you can use oil burning incense holders/pots with tea lights, scented candles, annointing, and things of this nature. I must remind you though... Sometimes using sticks, cones, powders, and so-on is unavoidable, but there are usually ways around it.
Now, here are those aromas!
Apple Oil: this oil helps a person lose weight. The scent of Apples suppresses the desire to eat (appatite.. I can't spell...). You can find apple scents in oils, perfumes, body splashes, candles, incense, and just simply apples being placed in the kitchen area in a fruit bowl, next to the fridge.
Amber oil: this oil is not only VERY calming and soothing, but i also a reliable way to "Quick slip", or fall fast asleep. I have shared my oil and shared the name with many people. The people who have had much trouble going to sleep have said that this oil is a "god sent". *smile* This is an every night oil incence in my bed-room.
Vanilla oil: Yes this oil is one of favorites because of its mild yet potent scent. It is one of the best soothing oils. This is a good bath oil (3 drops mixed well in the water.), meditation incence (oil, stick, candles), and good to promote calm yet good moods with-in the house. (Used for house scent while placing rose quartz all over the place makes for the perfect home life.)
Cinnamon: This scent comes in pretty much any form. Perfume, house-hold cleaners, candles, incence sticks, powder, and oil, gum, car scents, lotion, tea, candy, and even mouth wash (i have some. *smile*). This scent is well known by night owls for its ability to keep one awake and aware. This is something a person might want to have around to wake up quickly (some of us wake up in the morning and drag ourselves around for a couple hours.), stay awake at night, keep one alert. Pretty much all very spicy blends are good for these reasons, but cinnamon seems to work best.
Lavendar oil: This oil (when made not to harm the skin), is a wonderful anticeptic. If you have a cut, burn, so-on, rub lavendar oil on it to clean it. Of course this should NEVER take the place of soap, peroxide, and any other cut cleaner.
Eucalyptus oil: This oil is especially good for anyone with a stuffy nose, cold, and cough. This can be put in bath water (only as much as 5 drops or you will feel a numbing cold feeling on the touched parts.), and burned in an oil incence burner. Anointing candles and mixing with water (touch a little to the inside of a sleave cuff or inside of a coller), is also a great way to have a constant smell. If anointing to clothing make sure you only anoint to the inside of thick parts of clothing (oil MUST be mixed with water. 1 drop to every cup.), or you might have a little bit of staining where you don't want it seen. I know this one from experience.
Rose Oil: Before I get into Rose Oil, I need to Remind those whom are Pregnant out there that this oil is *NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMEN* Rose comes in oils, incence sticks, powder, perfume, deoderant, and so-on. This is the love scent. Put a couple drops of oil on a light bulb for passion, wear a little rose perfume to attract the opposite sex, burn a little oil, incence sticks, powder for love dreaming.
Myrrh: Myrrh comes in rezin, oil, and insence. Myrrh oil is used during holiday festivities, spell casting, and to wake someone (the smell is rather... intence and a lot of people don't really like it.) When spell-casting, annoint candles with myrrh oil, for festivities, burn a couple drops with water in an oil insence burner.
All oils intended for bath water and touching the skin must be made to do just that. Any oil that does not say it is safe for skin on the bottle might possibly harm you.
The burning of oil incence must be done so when mixed with water. This will stop the scorching of the pot.
When burning the powder form of incence make sure it is in a heat resistant holder (one that is either not touching the table it is placed on, or very thick. This prevents scorchng of wood, metal, plastic, and so-on.) |
