The altar and your body should be bare of decorations. No altar cloth is necessary, and the altar candles shall be white. Bring to the circle a bottle of essential oil, preferably mint or sandalwood, and cords of the following colors: white, pink, royal blue, brown and green. Also, have your magickal name chosen.

Light the altar candles and the incense, and then cast the sacred circle. Having completed this, invoke the God and the Goddess. Kneel before the altar, facing East, and say these words:

"I dedicate myself in service and in love to the Goddess of the moon and the Lord of the sun, Mother and Father to all things. May my actions please them always, and may I honor them in every act."

Take the white cord in your hands and knot it around your forehead, saying these words:

"May my mind work in pure ways, and may I strive to increase my knowledge of all things"

Take the royal blue cord in your hands and knot it around your throat, saying these words:

"May my voice lift up in laughter, and inspire others to do the same. May all that I say be honorable and true."

Take the pink cord in your hands and knot it around your chest at heart level, saying these words:

"May I feel only love and friendship towards those around me, and may my heart remain loyal to the God and the Goddess. May my heart and mind work together, in balance, with neither dominating the other."

Take the brown cord in your hands and knot it around your stomach, saying these words:

"May my center be grounded in stability, and may I strive to create that same stability in the world around me."

Take the green cord in your hands and knot it around your hips at the level of your genitals, saying these words:

"May I remain as fertile and as healthy as the Earth itself, and not deny myself the pleasures which lie therein."

Now, take the boleen from the altar and cut the white cord, saying:

"My mind is free, reborn in the name of the God and the Goddess."

Cut the royal blue cord, saying:

"My voice is free, reborn in the name of the God and the Goddess."

Cut the pink cord, saying:

"My heart is free, reborn in the name of the god and the Goddess."

Cut the brown cord, saying:

"My womb is free, reborn in the name of the God and the Goddess."

Cut the green cord, saying:

"I am free, reborn in the name of the God and the Goddess!"

After all the cords have been cut, take the oil from the altar and use it to trace an upturned crescent moon on your forehead and a sun on your chest. Still facing East, say your Magickal Name three times. Then speak these words:

"Lady of the moon, Lord of the sun
If your will it be, then let it be done.
This circle is yours, this body as well
From the day of rebirth, 'till the funeral knell
By this new name let me be called
Here in your glory, a child enthralled
Name in spirit, name in soul
Name not in part, but name in whole
Your will be done, three times three
So it's been said, so mote it be!"

A personalized prayer or a session of meditation may follow. Keep the cords in a safe place to remind yourself of your dedication. You may banish the sacred circle.
