About the Craft
Well, one first important thing to know is that Pagans, Wicca, Druid, etc. are NOT Satanist. We don't acknowledge the existence of the Christian's Devil, nor do we believe in an absolute evil. We don't believe that there is just black and white(or negative and positive, as we tend to put it), we believe there is also the greys or 'neutral' areas. Witchcraft (or any Pagan or earth-based religions) has been a legal religion since 1985 and is protected under the 1st and 14th Amendment. We are just like anybody else, we laugh and cry, we make mistakes just like any normal persons, we feel love, we feel anger, and we do our best at times to be good neighbors. We believe life flows through everything around us in everything that is nature. The one thing we will not tolerate from anybody, don't care what religion you are, is intolerance. But like every other religion, there are going to be a few bad apples. I mean, after all, there are no perfect people, only perfect ideals.

Our system of belief is complex and yet simple at the same time. There are traditions that follows mostly the feminine side and then there are those mostly on the masculine, but on the average, both side are in consideration. We respect a person's individuality of belief and do not try to force ours on others. We don't want to convert others and wish others to not try and convert us.

No two persons are exactly alike and could develop exactly the same way, and therefore, the idea of spirituality is a personal one where each person chooses their own path which would help them grow in mind, heart and spirit. Responsibility is also an important aspect. This is where the rule of three comes in. It basically says that everything in life you do, comes back to you three time stronger. You do good, you get good and if you do bad, you get in deep trouble.

The concept of the God and Goddess is an old one. You could find it in many cultures in history and today. It is in Egyptian, Norse, Aboriginal tribes, Sumerian, Assyrian, Celtic, Druid, and many other polytheistic religions of the world. Mythology is a common place to find stories on these ancient deities and can be easily looked up on the web and your nearest library or bookstore. Most believe, including myself:), the Gods and Goddesses are many faces of a God and Goddess, and the God and Goddess is one Divine Being. It's just viewed with different faces and names with different aspects. Some choose to go by more specific aspects than some others, while the rest prefer a more universal point of view.

Knowledge is very important as well. To be ignorant of anything that is usually misunderstood can be a problem and can be very dangerous. It is not just Pagans, witches or any others in a polytheistic religion, I speak of, there are other religious groups such as Jews, Muslims, and even some Christian groups have been persecuted, along with several other religions (personally I think every religion has suffered persecution at one point in time, but your free to believe what you will). Even animals had the problem of being misunderstood by Humankind for centuries ahead of time, which is why many animals today are near extinction. The wolves, sharks, tigers, apes, whales, cats, and just to name a few, have been killed either out of ignorant fear or for the fun of killing them, whether or not these animals were associated with witches.

Still on the subject of knowledge, we believe that learning never stops. Everyday in life one would learn something new, both internally and externally. Most of us goes by the concept of "Accept what is, and hope for the best" or "Live and let be", that is, life is life, both cruel and kind, and that we should learn to live our own lives and not the lives of others, but as we do, we must understand that life is full of hazards and though we try to watch our step, sometimes we still get stung for the effort, sometimes for a reason.

As for magick, yes there are many who do rituals, but not all pagans do rituals or magick. Some just prefer to go by the beliefs and principles, instead of striving for priesthood. True magick in itself, is neither good nor bad, it is the welder of the magick that determines its use. Some people prefer to specialize in certain areas of magick, such as dream magick, green magick, or even love magick. Most keep themsleves knowledgable about a variety forms of magick, which is usually prefered. Practicing magick is not a requirement to being a Pagan and magick is best used to help enhance life, to help oneself grow.
In conclusion, I would like to say that before you judge us, first know us. And may love and light guide you in your darkest hours.
