| Merry Meet and thanks for taking the time to learn about ME! My first name is really Catherine (yuck) but I have gone by Katie my whole life. My family is of German ancestry, but we are living in a little town in Utah. Of course, most of the people in this town are L.D.S. (Mormon), and I don't have anything against them, but they have control of local government and everything else, it seems. I was once Mormon but I had a void inside me that this religion could not fill. When I was 13, my Aunt introduced me to Wicca. She was only just beginning to study it at the time, and as soon as I began reading about it, I could not stop. Of course, I kept this from my parents (both Mormon), because I was sure they would not accept it. I had a medium-sized tin box in which I kept crystals, candles, tarot cards, etc. for about 2 years. Then Mom found it. She threw it away while I was at school and had "one of those" talks with me. I stayed away from it for a while, but once again was drawn to it, and once again I can not stop my quest for knowledge of this wonderful thing called Wicca. I will be 18 in September. Of course, I respect everyone in my community as individuals, but those few that know that I am Wiccan dismiss me as belonging to some kind of Satanic cult and will not listen to anyone who says otherwise. So it is very hard for me to talk to anyone about it. Hence, my website. Here I can reach all of you and I know that I am connecting with witches everywhere. There is only one other person in my whole town that is even pagan, but he is not Wiccan, and does not really like me or my religion. But I do have plenty of friends, some of them who know about my being a witch and still choose to befriend me. I do normal teenage things like going to school formal dances and everything. I like loud music, particularly things like Metallica and Godsmack, but those are just my personal choices. I also like classical and new age music. I'm in my high school's advanced choir and recently went on tour with them to Las Vegas, which is an awesome city! I didn't want to leave! I am a Virgo, and my elements are earth and water. I love the deserts of Southern Utah and seem drawn to areas like Moab and Lake Powell. My majickal energy is much greater in these areas. Anyways, enough about me! Keep checking out the site! |
