be careful
with the go-between
for she is not a doll,
she is merely a
messenger from the opposites.
back and forth she is pulled
with angry screams and shouts
young ones do not share,
you are old enough to grow up.

~
middle-woman-poetry (2 of 2)
back and forth
the doll is pulled
mine!
no mine!
no mine!
to and from
the messenger goes
here!
then there!
now here!
yes and no
the tired girl hears
she's bad!
no her!
no she!
this and that
the go-between gathers
blah!
talk talk!
yap yap!
her arms are pulled off
and her stuffing finally comes out:
"work it out yourselves you children,
you are old enough to grow up!
you hurl insults from afar without the guts to say,
can't we please, oh can't we please make amends today?
you were once friends who laughed and talked
but now can't speak face-to-face..
come here little children now all grown up
and we'll rebuild your friendships base."
-M.Walsh
note from the author-
I rarley attempt rhyme in my poetry,
it is not really my style,
if you have a second, please tell me
what you think of the above poem...
