| Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas |
Buff Bagwell
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 247 lbs
Hometown: Marietta, Georgia
Birthday: January 10, 1970
Pro Debut: 1990
A.K.A.: Marcus Alexander Bagwell, Handsome Stranger
Signature Maneuver: Buff Blockbuster
He's Buff and he's the stuff. The face, the body, the ability...Bagwell has it all. The combination makes Buff one of the superstars of pro wrestling.
Formerly Scott Steiner's tag team partner in the nWo, Bagwell has emerged from that failed relationship to thrive in the singles division. Buff's popularity isn't hard to understand. Women love him and men want to be like him.
Buff's stuff starts with ability. He combines a unique blend of power and quickness to subdue his foes. He was WCW Rookie of the Year and won three WCW World Tag Team Titles with three different partners. Buff made a statement for the young guns of WCW by pinning 14-time World Champion Ric Flair on a 1999 Nitro. Besides belts, Buff also has the respect of both the fans and opponents. In 1998, Buff severely injured his spinal chord and neck in front of a national television audience of millions. At the time, fans and WCW could only hope that he would walk again. Not only did Buff meet that challenge, but he also returned to the squared-circle better than ever.
Buff brings more to the table than just his in ring ability. He gives the fans what they want to see. They want to see Buff dance. Check. They want to see Buff pose. Check. They want to see Buff do impersonations? Surprisingly, yes. He has brought down the house with his hilarious dead-on imitations of Scott Steiner and The Cat. Bagwell has starred in two movies, The Day Of The Warrior and Return to Savage Beach.
Shane Douglas
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 255 lbs.
Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
Birthday: June 2, 1958
Pro Debut: November 1993
Signature Maneuver: Pittsburgh Plunge
A.K.A.: Shane Douglas
Shane Douglas in no stranger to the wrestling ring. Trained in 1993 by the legendary Dominic DeNucci, Douglas has mastered everything he has done, from wrestling to teaching. In 1992, he held the WCW Tag Team titles with Ricky Steamboat, and has been a World Heavyweight Champion in another promotion.
When Shane came back onto the WCW scene in 1999, he quickly distanced himself from most of the WCW roster. Forming The Revolution, Douglas, along with three others, chose to make their own rules, stating that WCW, an American business, was holding them back. The Revolution made waves within the organization, targeting the flag waving "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan as the "biggest of the American problems." Soon, however, The Revolution disbanded, and Douglas faded out of sight.
When the "new" WCW debuted on April 10th, many of the top stars were in attendance. Being the dawning of a new day for the company, Douglas chose that night to return, attacking Nature Boy Ric Flair, a man Douglas has made no bones about loathing. This incident set the sparks for a feud that continues to this day. At the Spring Stampede PPV in April, Shane, along with Buff Bagwell, defeated Flair and The Total Package in the tournament finals for the WCW Tag Team Titles. Now, as a member of Vince Russo's "New Blood," Douglas will continue to shine and prove to the world why they call him The Franchise.
