| Make The Track Favorite Fall Behind By: yodaman (yoda_890@hotmail.com) To make the track favorite fall behind the pack, you have to take a risk. Take your podracer way ahead the track favorite into a narrow space, a blind turn or any other place where he can't pass you and stop. Now wait until the track favorite joins with you, and he will explode. If you look on the map of all the racers flags, the track favorite will most likely be in third or fourth place. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Short On Cash? By: WalknCacts (WalknCacts@Aol.Com) If you have played Racer for a little while you will find that the part you want is sometimes just out of your reach. If you want to increase your cash flow then try theese few tricks. Set the race setting to Winner Takes All that way you will get at least $2000 per race. Buy from the junkyard. The prices are very low, and a part may be sold for less than half price. Trade in your brand new parts. First go to the Junkyard or Watto's Shop and buy a new part. Then enter a race. After you complete the race go to the Junkyard. look through the items to see if there is the same part you just bought there. If it is check the price. if there is a negative cost, buy it. Watto will pay you the the price. Repeat this every race and you can end up with over $100,000. Note: Do not use this unless you can win cash. If you try this when all the races have been won you will be stuck with a bad part that you will have to sell to get rid of. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Auto Pilot By: Mista784@aol.com Enable the "Unlock all cheats" code. Then while playing a game, press R + Z to activate auto pilot, where you only have to control the speed of your pod racer. Press R + Z to disable auto pilot and retain full control of your pod racer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Turbo Boost 2 By: Jaime Clayton (Viperboy_12@webtv.com) Anytime while racing hold up on the analog stick (the circle above your speed has to be green.) then when that circle turns yellow press and hold A. NOTE this may and can overheat your ship unless you let go of the a button before the speed meter is all the way filled up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Player Voices By: sefhaltom To make a person talk during a race, just double tap the R button. They have a few different things to say, but they do get boring after a while. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show Credits By: Calvin Tsang This code allows players to view a photo of the team that designed this game. Take first place in all Tournament mode races, then activate the mirror courses in the Track Info Screen. When the Title Screen goes into demo mode, press Up-C. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode I Cameos By: Tom Stitt (tomstitt@hotmail.com) In tournament mode, pick the option to buy pit droids. Then press cancel or B. Now press Z and use the control stick to look around. You will see Watto at his shop and your character. On either the left or right of the racer you have chosen, you will see one of many characters. Among the possibilities are a jawa, R2D2, Qui Gonn, and even the "naked" C-3PO. You can also see many of the game's characters in the bar by using the same trick right after choosing a pod and track. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Player Taunts By: NO2MRO Dis the competition with Racer's taunt feature. At Tournament mode's Main Menu, hold the Z Button while pressing A to start a race. You'll see a brief sequence in which your racer and a rival trash-talk each other in a hanger. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sebulba's Pod Racer By: Jeff Warshaw To get Sebulba's Pod to race with, all you have to do is win the last race, and he will be able to be selected! Also, it mentions it in the manual, but double tap R to flash his vents. Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Turbo Boost By: oNe At the beginning of the race the announcer will say, "3... 2... 1!" Just before he says, "1!", push the analog stick UP and press A. Hold Z and enter "RRTANGENT" as a name, while pressing L to enter each letter. Note: Ignore the fact that only three letters may be entered for your initials. After entering each letter, they should appear in the lower left corner of the screen. Then, highlight "End" and press L followed by B. Select the same file, then hold Z and enter "ABACUS" as a name, while pressing L to enter each letter. Then, highlight "End" and press L followed by A. Begin a race on any tournament track. Then, pause the game and press Up, Left, Down, Right to access the cheat menu. All options on the cheat menu will now be unlocked. Jinn Reeso and Cy Yunga will also be unlocked. Dual Control Mode - Select an empty game save (to erase, press C-Up), the hold the Z button while scrolling through the letters on the name entry screen. To enter a letter, hit the L Button. Enter the following word: RRDUAL. When you're finished, select "End" and hit L again. Now enter your name the usual way. You now control the game with two analog sticks. Use controller ports #1 and #3, press forward on both sticks to drive and pull back to steer. Invincibility - Select an empty game save (to erase, press C-Up), the hold the Z button while scrolling through the letters on the name entry screen. To enter a letter, hit the L Button. Enter the word: RRJABBA. When you're finished, select "End" and hit L again. Now enter your name the usual way. Start a race and press START to pause it. Now press D-Pad left, down, right, up -- and you will be invincible. Mirror Mode - Select an empty game save (to erase, press C-Up), the hold the Z button while scrolling through the letters on the name entry screen. To enter a letter, hit the L Button. Enter the word: RRTHEBEAST. When you're finished, select "End" and hit L again. Now enter your name the usual way. Pause the race during gameplay and enter D-Pad left, down, right, up to activate mirror mode. Debug Menu - Select tournament mode, then highlight an empty name entry. Hold Z and enter "RRDEBUG" as a name, while pressing L to enter each letter. Note: Ignore the fact that only three letters may be entered for your initials. After entering each letter, they should appear in the lower left corner of the screen. Then, select "End" and press L followed by A. Begin a race on any tournament track. Then, pause the game and press Up, Left, Down, Right to access the cheat menu. The debug option may now be enabled on the cheat menu.
