Meetings: Raleigh, Durham, Falls Lake--no regular meeting schedule
Interests: Dragon Crest is a Live-Action-Role-Playing game based on a
medieval/fantasy would known as Urth. There are 4 different chapters
of Dragon Crest in the US. Dragon Crest is full simulation role-playing
utilizing a realistic combat and spell system. Combat is done through
well-padded pvc weapons (often called 'Boffers'). Our spell system
involves throwing small bird seed-filled, cloth packets. We are concerned
about safety and your well-being. We have people playing who are familiar
with first aid on hand at events, although accidents are highly unlikely..
Notes: Dragon Crest has over 25 different character races. There are many
types of elves and dwarves. We also have Luposians ! (werewolves)
Rakasha (cat-people) and numerous others. We also have 6 different
character classes: Fighter, Mage, Rogue, Battlecaster (Mage/Fighter),
Ranger (Rogue/Fighter), and Bard (Rogue/Mage). Each class has different
specialties and attain different skills easier than others.
Area: All of North Carolina. We've got people that travel from other chapters just to play!!
Cons: We normally hold Fighter practices monthly. Every month (or so) we
hold a Module Day. Module Days involve three separate games. Each module
runs between an hour & 1/2 to 2 hours. We also have Full Days-This is
a day-long module. Lastly, there are full events which run from Friday
afternoon unitl Sunday afternoon. Eating/ Sleeping et.c is all donei
in game. These are held at a boy scout camp. I invite you all to try us out!
