Meetings: no regular meetings,
Interests. The club exist to promote gaming as a hobby. We are involved in
miniatures, role-playing games, CCGs and board games. We have recently become
involved in some historical games and we have a Vampire LARP group affiliated
with the club. The club tends to focus on miniatures games.
Notes: The Adventurers Club regularly runs demos and introductory level
events at club functions. Everyone is invited to participate in these events.
The club hosts several miniature campaigns, Full Thrust, WarZone and
Necromunda. We plan to add a Warhammer Fantasy and 40K as well as Man O’ War
in the future. These campaigns are restricted to club members or members of
affiliated clubs. The club is also involved in play testing new game systems.
Area: We are primarily active in the central Jersey area. We have run events
at conventions in north and south Jersey. We are willing to visit gaming
stores to run demo events in a variety of miniature events including, Full
Thrust, WarZone, Warhammer 40K, Necromunda, Moondragon, Space Hulk, Talisman,
Man O’ War, Warhammer Quest, Epic Space Marine, and Epic Titan Legions. In
‘97 we will also be adding Kryomek, Star Wars miniature battles, Warhammer
Fantasy, Dirtside II, and others to the games we demo.
Cons: As we are in our first year of existence we haven’t regularly attended
cons but this past year we were at Gamers Con, Mon Con, Dex Con, Shore Con,
and the Garden State Games Faire. We also ran the SciFi LifeCon which raised
six hundred dollars for the treatment of cancer patients.
