| Here are the rules, they're simple, mainly, and easy to remember. I know that there are alot of them, but they aren't anything that you couldn't remember. I reserve the right that I can change them at anytime, although I will inform all players of the changes. #1: You play your own chars (characters), you are allowed to play NPCs (none playing chars), but you cannot move or talk for another person's chars without their permition. #2: No spamming or flaming over this list (spamming is mainly junk mail, flaming is insults and such). You are allowed to have your char insult another char, but IT IS NOT PERSONNAL. Any complaints of spamming or flaming will get you a warning. #3: If you do something unexceptable you will be privately warned and asked to not do it again, if you do it again you will be warned over the list, then put on No Mail, if, once you beg forgiveness from yours truly, you do something bad once more, you will be kicked off the list (this will be referred to as the Three Strikes, You're Out Rule, When you are warned, it will have Strike One, or Strike Two in the title. #4: You are allowed to ask questions and such over the list, but you are not allowed to ask them specifically to one or two people, and they HAVE to be about the game. If you have to say something in a post you put OOC:____(OOC standing for Out of Character). #5:Before making a char, you must check to make sure that no other char has the same name, and that it is not too much like any other char (unless that's on purpose, wherefore you must tell me). #6:Spelling is not very important, as long as we can understand what it says. And characters with low educations should not be using huge words. #7:If you go on vacation, you must warn the list, and all the people your chars are interacting with at that time. 14 days of inactivity will result in first a warning, then, if it is not replied to within 48 hours, you will be kicked off the list. If you post once a week for one char, and post twice a day for another, it will not be exceptable, even if you get a 'favorite' you must keep up on regular posting. #8:Number 7 won't matter over Christmas Break and Spring Break. Go on vacation, people do. If you are not going anywhere, you may continue to post, and we may have special holiday SLs (storylines) for those of you that are staying who have characters interacting people who are gone...They either won't count or will be seen as events that had or will happen, and will either not effect your char, or will not effect your current SL. #9:I will try to put a summary of the posts up on the webpage after awhile. Maybe after two days in the game. (game time is not the same as our time, it goes ALOT slower). #10:I will call sunset and sunrise, and will also do weather. If someone has a special request regarding weather (i.e. you want a thunder storm for a haunted house type scene.) you may ask me, and I will try, unless I had formally agreed to someone else's weather, which directly contradicted with yours. #11:You are not allowed to have ominisent or Earth destroying chars. You are allowed to have chars that seem that way, but only if you run it by me first. #12:You get points by how many posts you have for a character, how many characters you have and are controlling well, how long and deep posts are, how much conversation and character developement is in them. I also call how much damage a char gets after a fight or accident, I have my ways, so don't think I'm being unfair...If anyone thinks I am being, I will go to an outside person, and let them decide. #13:This is third person, telepathic speech is represented by these >(speech)<, thoughts are represented by single quotes '(thoughts)', speech is, duh, represented by double quotes "(speech)", and special communication is represented by astros *(special)* Anything else you can either work out or I can figure out. #14:Not every char in this game is all powerful, not every char is a weakling, either. But all chars must have at least one physical and one mental/emotional weakness. #15:everyone should be on the same day and relatively the same time, if you have a flashback, you must put the date, you have to put the time at least every other post, or relative time, and if you are not on the date that has been called, you must have that date put on your post. #16:I will not yet set a limit on chars, but try to keep it small. If you have alot of chars, you should post for them just like you did when you had a few chars. If you have trouble keeping up, I will give you a warning, and then request that you give up a char. #17:If you have an idea for an SL, feel free to tell me, I'm always open for suggestions. #18:Don't get offended by anything, it's not personal, it's not sacreligious, it's just what the game calls for. #19:No explicit sex scenes. Swearing is fine, but if you have to do sex, just say they had it, and get over it...Kissing, even making out is fine, but nothing more can be explained. This isn't a porm list! #20:No using player info! That means that if you, as yourself know something, that doesn't mean your char does. That doesn't mean that your char knows, for example, that Julian pretends to be a gardener. Using this info in unexceptable unless your character should know this, or you have talked it over with me and it's an SL, or something. #21:When you write out a post, in the subject line you should put your character's name, a bunch of hyphens, one of those little arrow things, and the name of who they are interacting with.(ex: Me--->You, or Me--->Self) |
