| The Union of Scientists and Scolars-Varna was founded in 1950 as a branch of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria. Its first President was Prof. Marko Georgiev. For 2 years from 1960 on Prof. Stefan Tzonev was in the chair. The next to be chosen was Prof. Georgy Dimitrov, Dr and he was the President from 1981 to 1990. For 2 years Prof. Nikolai Minchev DSc. Was headed the Union. From 1991 to 1997 Prof. Temelko Temelkov MD, DSc was presiding the Union. Union of Scientists and Scolars-Varna is a democratic public creative professional organization built-up with the propose to depend the interests of scientists and scholars to mute them in order to increase the prestige of Bulgarian science and putting into practice in the name of universal values. The Union of Scientists and Scolars-Varna has been juridical person since February 24 th, 1992; a cooperation with non - economical purpose in the meaning of the Law of Persons and Families, namely Article 134 and subsequent articles, which is situated in the town of Varna. The Union of Scientists and Scolars-Varna is constituted by voluntarily united individual members organized in sections according to the corresponding in scientific fields. The objectives of the Union are national. |
