| Welcome to UNION OF SCIENTISTS - VARNA Home Page! HISTORY The Union of Scientists - Varna was faunded in 1950 as a branch of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria. Its first Chairman was Prof. Marko Georgiev. From 1960 to 1981 Chairman was Prof. Stefan Tzonev. From 1981 to 1990 next Chairman was Prof.dr. Georgi Dimitrov. From 1991 to 1991 Chairman was Prof.dr.sc.tech. Nikolai Mintchev. From 1991 to 1997 next Chairman was Prof. Temelko Temelkov MD,DSc. The Union of Scientists - Varna is a democratic public creative-profesional organization bulit-up with national purpose that defends scientists interests and unites their in order to elevante the prestige of Bulgarian sciense and its practical application in the name of the universal values. Since February 24, 1992, the Union of Scientist - Varna is a juridical person, a corporation with non- economic purpose according to the sense of the Lau of Persons and Families, namely of Article 134 and subsequent ones, situated in the town of Varna. The Union of Scientist - Varna is formed voluntarily united individual members organized in sections according to the corresponding scientifie specialities.
