Chapter 4
Cecillia smiled but was confused. She didn't know how this girl knew who she was, or how she kew about her being half Namek and half Saiyan. "My family and I just moved here from Tokyo, Japan, but I guess you could probably already tell that just by looking at me. Anyway, I hear your really strong, and I was wondering if you could teach me something," the girl said. She was speaking very quickly, and Cecillia's mind flashed back to a book about this one very energetic girl who would talk a lot. Of course, she also thought about why this girl spoke so much, since Japaneese people were usualy quite shy. "Hi?" Cecillia said, "well, you don't want to get fighting lessons from me. My friend Jan is a lot stronger than I am. She even has her own lessons. Uh, I don't want to be rude, but how do you know who I am?" "Oh, I have a friend back in Japan named Zeeny and she told me about you. I don't know how SHE knew about you, though," Draikeo said. "Zeeny?" Cecillia asked, "oh, she's my penpal! We've been friends for years! But just to be sure, did she also know how to speak Spanish?" "Ci!" Draikeo said, "she taught me some words. Yo amor ante librar!" "I don't know all of what you said. Only the 'I love to...' part," Cecillia said. "Fight!" Draikeo said. She saw that the couch had already been brought in the house, so she asked, "hey, d'you wanna go inside?" "Not really. Hey, why don't you come and meet Jan? She's my best friend," Cecillia said. "Okay. Could I sign up for class when we go over?" Draikeo asked as they started. "Sure," Cecillia said. The two girls walked down the by the side of the road to Jan's house. Cecillia went inside, and then motioned for Draikeo to follow her. Before she got in, though, Jan herself came up to the door. "Hey, Cecillia, and, uh..." she said, "who are you?" "I'm Draikeo. I just moved into that house down the street. Cecillia invited me over here. I wanted to know if I could sign up for that fighting classyou have. I wanted to train under Cecillia, but she told me you were stronger than she is, so..." "She did?" Jan said, arching an eyebrow, "How could I? She's the one with the Namek influence. Cecillia's just modest. Anyway, if you beleived that, I should warn you about someone." "Oh, let me guess...could it be Jao?" asked Cecillia. Jan laughed. "See, she's Namek, and now she's reading my mind!" Jan said. "I am not!" Cecillia said, "I could if I had wanted to, but I'm already wearing the cape, and the hat, and I'm still tired from that Camaea..." "Hold on for a second," said Draikeo, "What's so special about your cape and hat, and what the heck is a Camaea?" "Cecillia's family's special attack," Jan answered, "her cape used to belong to the Great Piccolo, and her hat is extra heavy, given to her by her dad. Oh yeah, as you probably already know, the cape is also extra heavy." "Hello, Mr. Piccolo gave you this cape?" Draikeo asked, amazed. Cecillia nodded and smiled. "Wow, that is so cool! I wish I had one!" "Write him a letter, that's what she did!" laughed Jan, jabbing her thumb at Cecillia. "Jan!" said Cecillia, "No, Piccolo heard about my unusual birth and came. He gave my dad the cape and told him to give to me when I was nine. So, on my ninth birthday, I opened the heaviest present first, and it was Piccolo's cape!" "Let's go inside!" said Jan suddenly, and she led them to her room. When they got there, Jan checked under the bed to see if her Dragon Ball was still there. When she saw that it was, she sat up. "What's under there?" Draikeo asked her. "Oh yeah, Jan, you just gotta show 'er it!" Cecillia said. Jan knelt down once again to get her Dragon Ball, and when she reappeared holding it, Draikeo almost went crazy. "Oh my, this is, what, how, a Dragon Ball!" Draikeo stuttered. She quickly got up to her feet and went to get a closer look. "Aw, it's small. The others are far away." "I've made plans to train extra hard so that I can fly high enough and long enough to search for them throught the universe. I don't really think I'll ever be able to, but, I'm not going to give up." Jan said "That's inspired," said Draikeo, and the girls laughed. Draikeo looked at her watch and sighed. "I have to go, my mom wants me in at seven, and it's 6:58. "Yeah, I guess I should go too," said Cecillia. Jan walked with them to the door and waved. Then she went back to her room and put the Two Star Dragon Ball under her bed once again. She didn't notice the flash of yellow by her window.
The next day was Monday, so Cecillia had to wake up at 6:30 to get ready for school. It was the first day after the summer, and she wasn't used to waking up so early. Cecillia stood in front of her mirror and stuck out her tongue, "in case Jao was sick". She them changed her clothes, brushed her hair, put on her hat and cape, ate cereal, and brushed her teeth. "I don't feel like going to school after what's happened. I mean, the Dragon Ball, the fight, and meeting Draikeo...school just seems to boring now." Cecillia sighed to herself, slumping down in the chair.
Note : And the author of this fanfic doesn't feel like writing about school. Now back to the story!
Cecillia raised her two index fingers and created sparks. She threw them at an empty cup on the table, and it spun and fell over. "Boom," Cecillia muttered. She made more sparks and hit the cup a few more times, until it was 7:45. She got up out of her chair and went over to Jan's house. She rang the doorbell, and expected Jan to come out and walk to school with her. But Jan's mom opened the door, and when she saw Cecillia, said that Jan was sick and was staying home from school. "Well, I guess I could walk with that new girl, Draikeo," she said. But, to Cecillia's dismay, Draikeo was a home-schooler. Cecillia kicked a can. She couldn't walk with Samantha, because she lived clear on the other side of the school. "Well, Barton Middle School, here I come, all alone, and this really stinks!" she said. Once again she raised her index fingers, and this time, made even bigger sparks. She flicked her thumb and sent them into the sky. One of them hit a tree and knocked out a clump of leaves, which hit with a thud. "Huh?" Cecillia asked. She took a few leaves off the top and gasped at what she saw.
Sorry it took so long to get this up. Thanks for reading!
