At the VERY start of the movie we see a (saiyan) spaceship landing on earth, The person that goes out of it is Brolly and he is very injured. The place gets covered by ice and he stays there asleep. Seven years have passed since snd Goten, Trunks and Videl search for the Dragonballs. They have only 2 left. They find the one of the remaining ones and as they follow the next signal they go at a village. At the village, a priest is praying to god to save the village and their souls. Videl asks about what is happening and they say that a monster was at the mountains but now it went down at the village and ate their food. Videl, Goten and Trunks say that they will take care of the monster.
Goten, Trunks and Videl get into the offerings for the monster. Goten and Trunks are starving so Trunks takes an apple for him. Goten tries to take one too but Videl slaps him. Goten starts to cry very loudly that makes Brolly wake up. The monster arrives. Goten and Trunks play with it and they beat it as they have fun. The villagers thank the guys and let them sleep for all night. Next morning arrives... Videl wakes up by some sounds and goes to the lake and finds Brolly. Brolly attacks Videl, after a minute Goten and Trunks arrive. Brolly sees Goten, says "kakkarotto!" and he gets angry. He attacks them for a while. Gohan senses Brolly's chi and flies to there. After being knocked a while, Goten and Trunks see the remaining Dragonball. Trunks distracts Brolly in order Goten to take the ball without difficulty.

Goten takes the ball but loses it from his arms. He goes to find it. Brolly continues fighting with Trunks. Even as a Super Saiyan, Trunks doesn't do much to Brolly. Goten finds the ball and tries to summon Senron. Anyway, the way he chants is like praying at a god. The dragon doesn't come out. Goten thinks that the place is too small and goes outside. Brolly throws a fireball that goes straight to Goten and Trunks. Another fireball changes its direction. It is Gohan, who saved them. He starts fighting Brolly. They both seem equal. Brolly throws a fireball to Goten, Trunks and Videl but Gohan throws it away. The explosion of it made Goten, Trunks and Videl fall unconscious. The land gets cut and lava appears at the bottom. Gohan becomes a Super-Saiyan. Brolly wathches that and takes his Legendary Super-Saiyan form. Gohan attacks, Gohan can hit Brolly now unlike his dad 7 years ago who couldn't touch him. Although, Brolly makes it and Grabs Gohan. Gohan plans to kill Brolly at the lava. He makes Brolly follow him to the lava and makes him get into the lava. It seems that Gohan has won. He rests at a rock which is in the lava pit and the lava goes higher and higher until somebody grabs him and saves him. Gohan sees that it is Piccolo but after a while it is Krillin wearing Piccolo's clothes.
Unfortunately, Brolly gets out of the lava untouched because he created a Ki shield around him. Brolly knocks Krillin out with a fireball. Gohan is being hit very easily because he is not a Super-Saiyan this moment. Brolly keeps punching, grabs Gohan and squeezes him. All 7 dragonball get out from the bag and flash. Gohan feels a lot of pain until Videl gets up and throws a crystal she found to Brolly. Brolly releases his right arm and smashes the crystal. Videl falls unconscious again but that makes Gohan angry. He says "Damn you!" and turns into a Super-Saiyan. Gohan does the Kamehameha. Brolly does a fireball and both attacks collide. Brolly's fireball seems more powerful.

Goten gets up, goes next to Gohan, turns into a Super-Saiyan and does a kamehameha too. Unfortunately, brolly's fireball is still stronger. Goten tells "Dragon, please, help us!". The dragonballs flash and Goku appears he tells them to use all their power. Goku goes between Gohan and Goten and does a Kamehameha too. This time all 3 kamehamehas seem to hold still Brolly's fireball, but brolly throws more. Goku says "Now!" and all 3 put use full power with the Kamehamehas' that surpass all Brolly's foreballs and Kill him. After that we see the dragonballs scatter away. Anyway, Goku isn't there anymore.
