The Clow: This is the magical book that holds the Clow Cards. It was created by Clow Reed, a powerful magician, and found in the library of Sakura's father. Only a person with strong magical powers can open it.

Clow Cards: These are cards that somewhat resemble tarot cards in appearance. Each includes some sort of element that holds a special power. Some cards are gentle, while others are mean-spirited. Also, the reaction is important according to what they are used for and who owns them.

Seal Beast: This is the name of the guardian of the book of cards. It is his responsibility to make sure they don't escape. In this case, the Seal Beast is Kero-chan. His normal form is of a full beast rather than his cute appearance. He cannot transform into his true self without the fire or earth card.

Magical Key: Sakura is given this object resembling a small key when she becomes a Card Captor. She wears it around her neck as a necklace and when needed, she can say a chant that will turn it into the Sealing Wand.

Card Captor: Someone who possesses the power to capture Clow Cards. This person must already hold some sort of magic and be given the Magical Key.

Sealing Wand: This is what Sakura uses to return Clow Cards to their original state. With a chant she strikes it before the Clow Card creature, and it becomes a card again. Sakura also uses her wand to fly around with the help of The Fly card.

Lasin Board: This board is owned by Shaolan, who used it to find out about the Clow Cards. With it, he can also discover where the cards are hidden.

Ofuda: This is a small piece of paper with a spell written on it, often acting as a ward against evil spirits. This is the main tactic of Shaolan.

Magical Sword: Shaolin owns this sword, which somehow controls magic so that he may use it against Clow Cards somewhat like Sakura's wand
