They approached the castle. As they got closer, they noticed a village underneath it. It was full of people wearing colored robes. “They look like wizards,” Rain said. “Wizards? What would wizards be doing here?” Kyle said. “I’ll check it out,” Rain said. She grew small and scouted the village. After a long wait, Rain returned. “This place seems to train wizards.” “Hey, maybe they might know Darkonel!” Tina said. “Well, let’s go!” Carrie said. They ran into the castle.

It was dark, faint light. “It’s too dark,” Tina said. “Chickening out Tina?” James asked. “HEY!” “Enough. Let’s just concentrate on why we are here,” Carrie said. “HALT!” They stop, noticing a wizard guard. “Who are you?” “Uh, we are simple travelers fighting a wizard,” Carrie said. “Wizard? Do you mean the wizard Darkonel?” “Yes! How did you know?” Rain asked. “You’re trying to stop him. Come with me.” They followed the guard into a room. It was a room full of wizards and the throne. Sitting on that throne was an old wizard cloaked in blue. He glared at Carrie and the others. “Who are these people?” “They are fighters. They are against Wizard No. 126.” The old wizard’s eyes widened. “Darkonel? They’re fighting Darkonel?” “Yes we are. We found this place and were wondering if you knew him,” Carrie said. “Darkonel. That’s a name I haven’t heard in years. I thought he died, but I should have known it would take more to finish him.” “Will you please share us your story?” Rain asked.

The old wizard stood up. “I am Fartorgul. A wizard master. Centuries ago, a wizard was born. A very powerful wizard. He could handle such intense magic. He placed in this academy to learn the highest magics. He learned fast and was admired by all wizards. He was a spectacular student. Though his powers were incredible, he never knew true evil until one dark day. He found a forbidden book. The Book of Emptiness. It contained the most darkest powers of the universe. All wizards were prohibited from even reading it. It was written by most darkest sorcerer ever to live. He died from a wizard who used light magic. The young student’s temptation forced him to take it. After days of reading it, he immediately grew attached to it and began to summon the dark, forbidden powers. The powers corrupted him and the wizard we admired was gone. He spent centuries studying dark powers and using them on innocent victims. After this happened, we began to also learn such powers. But instead of dark, we learned light, just as the wizard who killed the sorcerer. It seems that this evil wizard’s power grows much stronger each day. That is Darkonel.”

“I know how powerful he can be. I lived in the Spirit Woods until it was burnt by him,” Tina said. “Rain, Kyle, and I were from the rebel group Desert Bloom. Our forces were also destroyed in the burning. Us 3 are the only ones left,” Carrie said. “I’ve heard a great deal about Desert Bloom trying to stop him. I thought that would be our help, but we realized that they were too weak to fight such a person,” Fartorgul said. “We also have Marco. His sister, Aletha had joined Darkonel,” Carrie said. “You must get her back right away. Knowing him, he is merely using her for his work. She’s the decoy while he survives. I’ve seen this happen before,” Fartorgul said. “And James here is looking for Darkonel,” Kyle said. “Why?” “I have unfinished business with him,” James said. “May I ask why you know so much and who was the wizard who destroyed the dark sorcerer?” Carrie said. Fartorgul looked up. “Darkonel was my greatest student. I knew everything about him. He was a bright young lad. I taught him all I knew, from elemental spells, to the light spells I used to destroy the sorcerer.” “Fartorgul, can you help us?” Tina asked. “I am too old to fight. My only help is advice. Here’s some advice. Have a wizard on your side. It will be of great help.” “But we don’t have a wizard and don’t know such spells,” Carrie said. Fartorgul walked to Carrie. “I will send you my greatest student today. She can help. Send in Wizard No. 1023!” A young woman appeared and walked to him. “This is Kimberly Smith, a great wizard. She was abandoned when she was 2 years old. She was left here, and even though it was forbidden to take in a human, I accepted her and treated her as a daughter. She grew fascinated in my work and I let her study. She is the best I can offer.” “Please to meet you,” Kimberly said is a sweet, calm, young voice. “Miss Kimberly, you are to join these young fighters to stop Darkonel. He is very powerful and can destroy the world if no one can stop him. You’re my greatest student, you will be victorious.” Kimberly nodded and walked to Carrie and the others. They left the castle and walked further along a path.

“I’ve never been in the outside world before. This is a little scary,” Kimberly said. “Don’t worry. You’ll be OK,” Kyle said. “Thank you Mr…” “Kyle. Just call me Kyle.” “OK Kyle.” “These are our allies Kimberly. Marco Ty, Rain, Tina Clearwater, and James Mage,” Carrie said. “And I am Carrie Willow.” “The best fighter here,” James said. “Thank you for that comment James. You’re so sweet.” “And so are you dear Carrie.” “Grrr…” Kyle said. “What was that Kyle?” Carrie asked. “Nothing.” “Aletha!” Marco shouted.

“Well, well, well, nice to see you all again. And with some new allies I see. But new allies can’t stop me.” “Stop this now Aletha!” Marco shouted. “I don’t want to listen to you anymore! Bug off!” Aletha shouted as she cracked her whip. Aletha thrust her whip at everyone, whipping them. Carrie lifted her arms and a bright white light filled the area. Everyone who was bleeding from Aletha’s attacks were healed. Kimberly closed her eyes and was surrounded by a green light. The light summoned a beautiful young woman. “What is this?” Aletha said. The young woman stared at Aletha and changed shape. Her legs and hair became a snake. The rest of her body was human. This strange woman threw a green light at Aletha. Aletha fell to the ground and could hardly move. She was loosing strength rapidly. The strange woman disappeared. “What was that?!” Tina shouted. “Medusa. A summon with poisons. It seems to have poisoned this girl,” Kimberly said. “Whoa! I want a summon!” Tina said. “I have 1 more you can use,” Kimberly said. She touched Tina’s forehead and concentrated on a spell. “Now, concentrate on the summon and it will come to your aid.” Tina closed her eyes and began to concentrate. A bright blue light surrounded Tina. Everyone heard a galloping noise in the distance. A bright white unicorn with golden hair and hooves galloped to Tina and stopped. It raised it’s horn to the heavens. Out of the sky, ice fell to the ground. It damaged Aletha pretty good. She stood up. “Impressive. Much better than before. Let’s see how well you’ll fight now.” Aletha jumped into the air and raised her whip. An elegant young woman appeared. “Cleopatra! Finish them off!” When the young queen spun in midair, sand and wind flew around Carrie and the others. “How could she do that?” Kyle said. “I don’t know!” Carrie said. Carrie glanced at Marco, standing there watching. Cleopatra zoomed towards Kimberly and pinned her to the ground. She then summoned mighty sand and wind to finish Kimberly off. “Marco! Don’t just stand there! Help us!” Carrie shouted. “I can’t Carrie. I can’t fight my sister!” “You have to fight her! It’s the only way to get her back!” Marco looked at Aletha and nodded. “OK. Enough’s enough!” Marco pulled out a huge knife from his pocket and ran to Cleopatra. He attacked her wildly and Kimberly got up. Cleopatra fell to the ground, wounded. In a flash, Aletha disappeared. Kimberly put her hands together and prayed. Everyone was cured of the injuries and a bright green barrier surrounded everyone. “That’s my Prayer of Peace.” James stands up. “I’ve had it playing ‘let’s sit down get our butts kicked!’ I’m going to kill her!” “Wait! She’s a summon! She can help us!” Kimberly shouted. It was too late. James charged at the helpless summon, fire in his hands. Carrie ran after him, leapt into the air, and tackled his before his fire could kill Cleopatra. “Don’t you EVER listen?! STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING?! Kimberly says that thing can help us!” Carrie shouted. “OK OK!” Carrie stood up and walked to Cleopatra. Kimberly closed her eyes and the summon became a brown light. “Who will want to receive this summon?” “I will,” Marco said. Kimberly walked to Marco, touched his forehead and his mind accepted the new summon.

“How could you do that?” Carrie said. “It’s an equiption spell Fartorgul taught me. You can equip legendary monsters to help you fight. Medusa was mine. The one I just gave Tina was Inthamus, an Ice Unicorn. And Cleopatra is now Marco’s. If we find a monster that can help us, I can equip them to you,” Kimberly said. “OK,” Carrie said. Everyone sat down and rested. “Marco, are you feeling OK having to fight your sister?” Rain asked. “I’m fine. How else can I get her back? Until now, you guys have yet to see me fight!” “I was impressed,” Kimberly said. “Well, we rested for 2 hours, let’s go the next town to rest for the night,” Kyle said. Everyone agreed and walked for an hour and by sun down, they entered the town Mashington.
