and i would like to give you my interpretation of on the lie. i think it's talking about john's problem with drugs and alcohol. "hay man you wanna be elvis"... elvis dies of a drug overdose "i ain't dying face-down"....he doesn't want to end up like that "he said i looked like a hollywood girl"..again, many people in hollywood have been known for their
drug problems" and in the next line he again says he doesn't want to be like that "he burnt down a house one night, he had a loaded 6-pack gun"...the 6-pack is like a case of beer, a 6-pack. "and i never got serious till everything went black"... he didn't realize he had a problem till he lost almost everything "and i ain't so curious that i'm ever going back".... he never wants to be like that again.
