It seems nothing can kill the Brady's. But don't you think something should?
"The Brady Brides" TV series was launched by the Made-for-TV movie "The Brady Girls Get Married" which, of course, was a sequel to the original "Brady Bunch" series which spawned such horrors as "The Brady Bunch Hour" variety show, Made-for-TV movie "A Very Brady Christmas" and later, "The Brady's" in 1990, an hourlong dramedy which was a serious soap opera--like "Thirtysomething". Quite bad. This doesn't even count the two theatrical movies "The Brady Bunch Movie" and "A Very Brady Sequel".
In "The Brady Brides", Marcia and Jan got married. No, not to each other (though THAT show would have been a HIT!). Marcia married free-spirited Wally Logan, a toy salesman. Jan married Philip Covington III, a stuffy college instructor.
Mrs. Brady, as luck would have it, became a realtor after the kids had grown up and helped them find a big ol' house for both married couples to live in. Alice, who lived nearby, was always available for a cameo.
OTHER BRADY TRIVIA:
In "The Bradys" 1990 show, we found out that Jan and Phillip adopted a Korean child named Patty. Greg married a woman named Nora and had one son (Kevin).
Marcia (not Maureen McCormick--a different actress) and Wally had two children: Jessica and Mickey.
Cindy had become a disc jockey and was fooling around with her older widowed boss, Gary.
Peter was a worried playboy in the age of AIDS.
Finally, Bobby had married a woman named Tracy. Bobby was also a racecar driver, got into a car wreck and became paralyzed from the waist down.
And now:
"The Brady Brides" actual theme song:
(which had the same tune as the original "Brady Bunch" theme song!)
It's a new life, for two girls named Brady.
Who have left the bunch to make it on their own.
Jan fell in love with a man named Philip,
the nicest guy she knows.
In the meantime, along came Wally.
Who was different from Philip in every way.
Soon the girls are headed for a double wedding.
A very special day.
A house was too expensive for each couple.
The only way to buy would they decide,
was to share the cost by moving in together.
That's the way that they became the Brady Brides.
The Brady Brides
The Brady Brides
That's the way they became the Brady Brides.
