The designer of this site recognizes that some or all of his ideas may be in error. He is trying to be honest with himself, so that he can be honest with others. He is trying to be responsible and make positive changes during his short life. TODAY IS BEAUTIFUL, BECAUSE TODAY, WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE AND RECEIVE LOVE Have scientists made mistakes in the past ?? Is it likely that scientists and religious scholars will be found to be in error in any of their conclusions in the future ? Will we feel foolish because we felt so sure they were right ? If it turns out that we have been wrong about some or many of the things that we now believe to be true, we do not need to be overly upset or discouraged. Louise Hay wrote, "The point of power is in the present moment, because in this moment, we have the opportunity to make positive changes or adjustments in our lives". Those changes or adjustment represent growth as opposed to business as usual-stagnation. That is something we can, and should be, proud of. B.P. Martin wrote, "If I change my view as a result of honest and serious discussion ( the only rational kind ) then I have not lost, as someone might say in a debate. On the contrary, I have won, because I have acquired new knowledge or a point of view which I did not have before. The other person won also through the satisfaction of passing along his or her knowledge or viewpoint. i.e.-- a win-win situation". The Wright Brothers were also very wise and mature in this regard. They were more interested in growing and gaining knowledge than they were in protecting fragile egos. Another example of a mature and wise attitude was demonstrated in the words of Dr. Carl Sagen. At one point Dr. Sagen discovered a error in a scientific belief. A discouraged student came to him and said "You have debunked all the things that we can believe in, to make ourselves feel worthwhile; what's left?" Without a moment's pause Carl said,"Do something worthwhile, and then you can feel worthwhile". In all of this, the good news is, if some of the things we believe today, are found to be in error at sometime in the future , it doesn't have to be the end, it can be the beginning of something better than what we have today. We can build a more solid, honest, and true foundation, than the one we currently have.
