When you start your first game, go downstairs. Your mother will talk to you, and then ask you what day it is. Pick the correct time. Then, press the top option. Press yes when you
    have corrected the time.

After that leave your house and go to Professor Elm's lab located on the left side of your
house. You then will be introduced to the starter Pokémon that will help you on your
Pokémon journey. Chickorita the grass type Pokémon, Totodile the water type Pokémon
and,of course, Cyndaquil the flame type Pokémon. After this a helper of Prof. Elm will
give you a potion to start you off on your journey.

When you leave Professor Elm's lab you need to go left. You will battle some new neo
Pokémon and some of the old version Pokémon including Sentret, Pidgey,Rattata and Hoot-Hoot(night only). You will eventually find a Pokémon Center. Heal your Pokémon and go up the path right next to the shop. Keep on heading north. You may see some Pokémon fighting. Go up the path on the right side of them, and you will eventually reach a the
house with the person you're looking for inside of it as well as a familiar face.

When you go inside the house you will see Mr. Pokémon and Professor Oak.mr. Pokémon will talk to you about his new discovery of a Pokémon egg, and Professor Oak will give you a Pokédex. After you leave the house; Professor Elm will call you on your cell phone, saying that one of his Pokémon has been stolen by a red-haired child and to ask you to return to his lab immediatly.

Return to Professor Elm's lab. As soon as you leave the town, you will run into your rival. He will have the Pokémon that has an advantage of your starter Pokémon, and he challenge you to a trainer's battle (of course you must except!). Once you win, continue on your journey to Professor Elm's lab. Talk to him, and then leave. His assistant will give you five Pokéballs. Go back to the first town. On the way, a person will show you how to capture Pokémon. Pay attention, and capture some new Pokémon for your team so you can start training. Continue up the path that was blocked by the battling trainers, and face all the trainers that challenge you. You will eventually find a cave. Pretend the cave isn't there(trust me!!), and continue left until you reach your next destination. You will then find a Pokémon Center...USE IT!!!!
Continue up to the northern part of the city. You will see a tall building. This is the Bellsprout Temple, where a huge bellsprout is said to support the building. Work your way up to the last floor, and beat the Sage. He will give you the HM “Flash”. You will need to capture a Bellsprout and teach it “Flash”,since that is the only Pokémon in
the game at the moment that is able to learn this move. Go to the cave and get everything item possible. Then, return to the gym and defeat Falkner to earn the Wing Badge.

Once you leave the gym, you will get yet another call from Professor Elm. He wants you to go get a Pokémon egg from a n assistant of Prof. Elm at the Pokémon Center. Make a spot in your roster for it, and then talk to the man by the PC in the Pokémon Center close to the first gym.

Since you are close to the ruins of Ralph you might as well do this(it's optional).
Continue to the left side of town until you come across numberous. Go to the highest one and solve the Kabuto puzzle. This will awaken some Pokémon, and sink you down to a lower level of the cave.

Capture an Unown. Now, continue back east until you see a path going south. Continue south battling trainers and catching Pokémon until you get to a person who asks for one hundred yen. Say “Yes,” and enter the Pokémon Center. Talk to the man with the hat, and he will give you a fishing pole. Go to the pond to the north, and fish for some Magikarp. Now, continue back south until you reach a cave. Work your way through the cave until you get to the southern exit. Leave the cave, and walk west until you reach the town and pass a blocked off cave. Continue on to the house on the northwest side of town. Talk to the man inside. He will run out and unblock the cave. Go to the cave that was blocked and defeat all of Team Rocket inside and free the Slowpoke.

Now you can face the second gym leader, Bugsy. Her level 18 Scyther is very powerful, so watch out! Once you defeat the gym leader, she will give you the Insect Badge.

Exit the second gym and continue on the path to the west. You will find a worker who lost his Farfetch’d on the job while cutting trees. Continue down the path, and chase the Farfetch’d towards the boy. When he gets his Pokémon, he will reward you with “Cut.” Teach one of your Pokémon “Cut”, and cut the tree right above the boy. Follow the path heading north until you get to a building. Talk to the girl with the Butterfree inside the building, and she will give you a helpful TM. Continue north.

You will see a house with a pond in the front yard. Inside the house, a male and female
run a day care and breeding center. If you would like to make some baby Pokémon or just
want to experiment give the lady a female Pokémon and the man, a male Pokémon, they
should be both of the same element for better breeding chances. Also, you can fish for a few Krabbys in the pond. Continue north until you reach Golden Rod City.

Find the one-room building that has only a staircase leading to a basement. It is on the bottom left side of the town. Go down the hall beating trainers. On the way, you will pass another hall. You will need to return here later on in the game. Go up the stairs, and you will be inside another house. This house will take you outside. Again, continue to the left middle side of the town. If you go inside of the bikeshop
the owner will be kind enough to let you ride a bike to advertise his store.Next go to the tall metal building known as the Radio Tower. talk to the woman on the far right. Answer Yes, Yes, Yes, No, Yes, and No. She will give you a radio if you answered right. Go to the gym and defeat the normal type gym leader. She has a Clefable and Miltank. It is very powerful when it uses it's rollout attack more thatn twice, believe me...it will.

After you leave the third gym, go to the house directly to the east. Inside, you should see two women. Talk to the one tending to her indoor garden on the left. She will give you the"Squirt Bottle." Now, work your way north to the garden. Go east, and you will see an odd looking tree. Use the "Squirt Bottle" and it will unroot itself giving you the chance to catch the rare, one of a kind, Sudowoodo. Now, go onward north, and go left (going right will take you to the town with the first gym). Continue until you reach the next town. One building is a dance hall, go inside of it. Challenge all of the women. They have the five types of Eevee, including the two neo ones, Espeon(psychic) and Umbreon(dark). Go to the gym and fight the trainers. The gym leader likes uses ghost type Pokémon. When you win, you will receive the Phantom Badge.

After beating the Phantom Gym, return to the dance hall. Talk to the audience members. The man will give you the “Surf” TM. Now, leave the town heading west. You will eventually reach a town with an empty gym. Go to the building to the left of the Pokémon Center. Talk to the people in the building. One of them will give you the “Strength” TM. Then, go to the beach and surf to the Cian Wood Island towards the west. That gym uses fighting type Pokémon. After you defeat that gym leader, return to the city with the empty gym. Go to the southeast part of the city. You will see a lighthouse (you should see it since it's so big). Work your way to the top and talk to the woman on the top. When she asks you to get medicine for the Ampharos go down to the pharmacy on Cian Wood island where he will now give you a "Secret Potion." Head back to where Ampharos was and give the gym leader the medicine to cure the Pokémon so she will return to the gym. Her speciality Pokémon type is steel (with the exception to magnemite who is also part electric type). My reccomendation, since she is very hard to beat is to use your strongest resistant Pokémon against her.
After beating the sixth gym, leave the town and head back to the city with the gym containing invisible floors.(get out the Pokémon you taught cut first!) Leave that town through the eastern exit. Head east surfing across the pond until you get to a city where the gym is blocked off. Head north from there, until you get to a lake. Surf over to the Red Gyarados in the center. It’s a one of a kind Splarkling Gyarados. After you defeat it, you will see a person dressed in black next to a sign. Talk to him, and pick the first option. He will fly away. Return to the city below, and check all of the houses. One of them will have the man wearing black. Follow him into a trap door. You are now in a Team Rocket head quarters. Make sure you look at the computer near the scientist on the first floor, it's the secret bug to shut off the cameras. Then, work your way through to the top. Defeat the trainer, and go back to the second floor. Faint the Electrodes making the electricity for the building and have some pity for them. Then, leave. The blocked gym will now be open so you can battle the leader. All you need to bring is fighting type Pokémon, and you will win very quickly.

After you leave the seventh gym, Professor Elm will call you saying that the Radio Tower was taken over by Team Rocket (that is where you recieved your radio). Return to the Golden Rod City with the third gym, and go to the big metal building. Work your way to the top and beat the Team Rocket member on the top floor. You will receive the key to a door. Leave the tower and go to the house above the tower on the map (it should have stairs leading to a basement). Once you are underground, go down the hallway and unlock the door. Solve the switch puzzle, and once you pass it flip the switch next to the wall. Then, go through the door. You will appear in the shops’ basement. Get the Pokéball. Now, return to the Radio Tower and open the door that was locked. Work your way up to the top and defeat Team Rocket.

Now, go north to the city with the Ghost Gym. Then, head east past the city with the Ice Gym. Keep heading east until you end up in the Ice Cave. You have to skate around in one part. Make sure you get every Pokéball you see. One of them contains HM7 that allows you to climb up waterfalls. Once you leave the Ice Cave, you will be in the next town, which has a Dragon Gym. Once you beat the leader, he will not give you the badge ... yet. Swim to the cave above that gym and go to the lower right part of the cave. Open the Pokéball. He will then come and give you the Dragon Badge.

Leave the Dragon Cave, and head straight south. You will arrive near your hometown. Talk to Professor Elm. He will give you a Masterball. TRY NOT USE IT YET. See that pond next to your house? Surf across it. You will hit land. Then, enter the cave. Use HM 07 to swim up the waterfall. Now, head east until the path takes you north. Talk to the woman inside the house. She will revive your Pokémon. Head north until you reach a building. Inside the building, you will notice two paths blocked off. The path leading east leads to the Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow/Green map! More fun later! Anyway, head north. Go through the cave. You will reach the large Elite Four building. It is a good idea to have a balanced team of Level 55 Pokémon to defeat the Elite Four. I do not want to ruin the fun, but bring a good fire Pokémon. He can fry two of the Elite Four easily on his own, if he is around level 60.

After you beat the game and the credits roll, you will return outside your house. Go to Professor Elm and talk to him. He will give you a boat ticket. Go to the town with the sixth gym (where you got “Strength). Once you are there, head south. You should walk through a tunnel to the port. He will let you finally, go onto the S.S. Aqua!

On the boat, fight every trainer on the top floor. Then, go to sleep in your bed. Fight any new trainers in all the rooms. Go to the lower deck and talk to the girl next to the captain. You will then appear on the top deck. Now, you can leave the ship.

You are now in Vermillion City. Go left to Lt. Surge’s gym and beat him. He will be extremely easy. You will win the Thunder Badge.

Head north to Saffron City and beat Sabrina for the Marsh Badge.

Go south to Celadon City and beat Erika for the Rainbow Badge.

Go to Fuschia City and beat Koga for the Soul Badge.

There is a path north of Celadon City that leads to the northwest corner of the map. You will see Misty kissing her boyfriend (probably Ash ^_^). She will see you and, angrily, return to her gym. Beat her for the Cascade Badge.

After beating Misty, go to the Power Plant (where Zapdos used to be). Talk to everyone inside. Before you leave, one of the Officer Jenny's will talk to you. Go to the Pokémon Memorial Building (where Gastly’s used to be; it is now a radio tower too). Talk to the guy facing the wall. Now, go to Misty`s gym, and search around the part right over Seel and the other man. Now, return to the Power Plant and talk to the guy that is all by himself (poor guy, guess he didn't have as much luck with Misty as Ash did!) on the right side. He will give you TM 07 and an item. Now, talk to the guy in the Pokémon Memorial Building who is facing the wall again. He will then give you a radio station to listen to and a keycard.

Now go to the Snorlax on the east side of Vermillion City and play the radio channel that is all the way to the right. Then, go to Snorlax and he should wake up. He is only at level 50 so try to capture it, he's also the only one of his kind in the game!!!

On the other side, go to Pewter City and beat Brock for the Boulder Badge.

Head south to where the Seafoam Islands used to be. Stick to the left side. On the bottom left, you will come to an island. Talk to the guy who is stuck in a corner. The guy is Gary, your old rival before Kamon, he will then disappear. Continue west until you get to another island with one cave. Go inside the small gym and beat Blaine for the Volcano Badge.

Head back north to the town right above Pallet Town. Go to the Viridian City Gym, and beat Giovanni for the Earth Badge.

Now go to Mount Moon and inside you will fight your rival again (I believe for the last time). Then, head to Victory Road. Now, inside the Elite Four building you should be able to go to the other side of the hallway (remember where it splits off into two other hallways). Go down the left hall, and into the next area. Continue east until you reach a cave. Way inside you will find Red/Ash. His Pokémon are about level 70. He has a Snorlax, Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Espeon, and Blastoise. After you beat them, Congrats!!!! You beat the game!!!
