Review:
Gameplay: - Score - 9/10 The gameplay in Smackdown! 2 is basically the same as the engine of the first Smackdown! Well, due to the same developer, publisher, & system, one would expect that. The only thing that slows down the gameplay is the horrifying loading times. You have to load to get into everything. Even options. Also in season mode, everytime you skip a match, it does a match mini-bar, which takes forever to get to your match, and I haven't even mentioned the cut scenes. That brings down the gameplay to a score of 9.

Graphics: - Score - 9/10 The graphics haven't really improved from Smackdown! other than the new and developed CAW mode, which brings out the game's best graphics. The hair sucks like in the first SD! where the hair always goes through shoulders & such. Other than that, the graphics are acceptable.

Sound: - Score - 5/10 The sound is just as bad as SD!'s was. From the start of the game, you hear Jerry Lawler's voice. At first I said "Finally commentary!" But I was sadly mistaken. And are so promised voice-overs didn't really impress much. The only catchphrases we got was "And that's the bottomline, cuz' Stone Cold said so!!" and "If ya smelllllllllllll. what The Rock.........is cookin!!" And those two are rarely used. Maybe some wrestling grunts, or crowd chants could have made the sound better. And the lame rock heavy beats in the background, doesn't help at all.

Value: - Score - 8/10 The game is overall good. Despite the loading times & lame sound, this game is a pretty good buy. If you were a fan of the first Smackdown!, then this is the game for you. With all the match-types, wrestlers, and argureably the best CAW for a PSX wrestling game, this game should help you stay interested in wrestling games as the next generation of wrestling games comes out soon. This is last WWF wrestling game for the PSX, as future titles will move on to PS2. This game is worth the buy if you like fast-pace action & arcade style. If you don't like long loading times or arcade style gameplay, this game isn't for you.

Overall - Score - 8.8
