We are open four mornings a week:
Monday through Thursday

First shift: 9:00 a.m until 10:40 a.m.
Second shift: 10:40 a.m. until 12:10 p.m.

We do NOT require you be working on job search material. If you need help, flag down the staff or one of our fine volunteers. If you think there's a hardware or software problem, let us know, and we'll pass it along to our technician.
If you are having problems with getting housing, welfare, etc. we may be able to help you also by referring you to someone in the organization... Don't be afraid to ask!!

A BIT OF HISTORY... AND WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

Our community computer club has been in existence for a number of years now.

We currently have 20 computers, all of which are connected to the internet. Six of these have been designated as 1/2 hour use for quick e-mail checking.

We have word processing programs - Microsoft Word - along with associated programs (spreadsheets, etc.) Corel Draw, Paint, 3 colour scanners- programs, hardware and other tools for your learning enjoyment and self-learning experience.

The club has 2 colour printers (laser and bubblejet), 1 b/w bubblejet printer and a fax machine.

Membership is free to the low-income community. You can make five free computer printouts per day. After this, a slight charge (10 cents per copy) for toner and paper will apply. There is also a charge for colour printing - 50 cents per copy. ToneFaxing is free (sorry, you cannot do long-distance calls or faxing on our system).

We also have two free (dial-out only) telephones for your use. We realize telephones calls to government agencies (like welfare) can be very time-consuming, so we appreciate the possibility/probability of people needing up to 15 minutes on a phone, but because our lines must be free for others to use as well, 15 minutes is the maximum time you will be able to use the telephone. If you need help with looking numbers up or making a call, just ask one of our staff or volunteers.

We now have well over 1000 signed-up members!
