All things must begin with a beginning. Gundam Wing is no exception. In this beginning, twenty years have passed since Heero Yuy, the pacifist leader of the Lagrange colonies, was asassinated. Now, the colonies have decided to fight back. They have launched what is known as Operation Meteor. They have sent the Gundams to Earth.
Of the five Gundam pilots that were sent to Earth, four made it without incident. One however, was not so lucky. The pilot of this Gundam, the Wing Gundam, was intercepted by an OZ Liuetenant named Zechs Merquise. After a brief battle displaying each pilots skill, both the MS plunge to the depths of the ocean, supposedly carrying the Gundam pilot to his death.
Meanwhile, Vice Minister Dorlian and his daughter, Relena, are headed from Earth to space. They happen to see the space battle from a civilian shuttle. Dorlian seems to know what is going on while Relena is clueless.
Upon arriving on Earth, Dorlian leaves his daughter at the airport to go on business. Relena is left to take a long walk on a short pier. She happens to run across the Gundam pilot (unconsious, but not hurt) on the beach. She calls an ambulance which arrives just in time for him to wake, see that his face has been seen and kill himself. The attempt fails, however, leaving the young man to fight the paramedics and take the ambulance.
Here, we see the other four pilots taking up their battle against OZ. They give their names as Duo, Trowa, Quatre and Wufei.
The show then goes to Relena arriving at her school, and a new student has been added to her class. Heero Yuy, the mysterious Gundam pilot. She tries to befriend him by inviting him to her birthday, but he rips up the invitation and walks off, whispering to her,"I'll kill you."

Episode 2 - The Gundam Deathscythe

This happens in the middle of the show, but in this one, we learn that Trowa has chosen to hide himself in a traveling circus, Quatre is hiding in the desert and Wufei is buying explosives for his next attack.

Heero has hacked into the Alliance computer system and found enough explosives to do the job that needs to be done. He will destroy his Gundam.
Meanwhle, on the bottom of the ocean, Zechs has found the Wing Gundam, but has a slight problem. He also finds a Gundam with a pilot, the Deathscythe. Duo makes short work of the Pisces and Cancer MS's and decides to take the Wing Gundam they were trying to use for his backup.
Now Heero is headed for the port to fulfill his mission, but one of Relena's friends on his way to her party sees him and tells Relena. Relena rushes to the port to confront Heero. When she gets there, it is already in confusion and Heero is readying his torpedos. Relena bugs Heero until she gets an answer to who he is. A gun pointed right at her face.
Duo chooses this moment to show up and shoot Heero in the arm. Thinking he's saved Relena, Duo is surprised when Relena goes to Heero to bandage him up.
The Gundams Wing and Deathscythe start rising from the ocean, and Duo has to hide them from Relena. Seeing his gundam being stolen, Heero jumps onto the torpedos and fires them at the Gundams. The they fall back into the ocean as Duo realizes that Heero is also a Gundam pilot. Heero also falls into the ocean, muttering,"Mission Complete," before passing out.

Episode3 - Five Gundams Confirmed

Heero has been captured. He is held in a military hospital by an Alliance soldier named Sally Po. Duo plans to rescue him while telling the Sweepers (in code) to have a ship ready for escape. Once inside, Duo contacts Heero and tells him his plan. As Heero is waiting, Relena comes to the hospital to visit him. Sally Po meets her to ask a few questions. Upon seeing Heero, Relena is angry that Heero is tied down and confused on learning that he is not part of the Alliance military.
At this time, Duo busts into the room were Heero is held and lends him a knife to cut himself out. Duo then blows a hole through the wall and jumps out. Duo activates his Beam Copter, but for some reason, Heero is not using his parachute. Relena, seeing that he is going to try suicide again, calls out to him. She suprises him and he accidentally uses his parachute. He hits the rocks going too fast, but survives. Duo reaches the ground and says,"I can understand you wanting to kill yourself, but maybe, JUST MAYBE you could try finding a better way!" Duo then lifts Heero (he has a broken leg now) and carries him to the ship that was waiting.
Now we see Wufei destroying another base in his Shenlong Gundam commenting on how defenseless they are.
The action then shifts to the Corsica Alliance/OZ base. Zechs has just arrived to be greeted by his friend, Parker. Parker tells Zechs that he has found something that may be able to beat the Gundams. He calls it Tallgeese, and it is huge but needs some repair. Trowa chooses that time to attack the base. Quickly, he runs out of ammo, but as another MS comes hurtling at him, a beam is shot through its forehead. It's Quatre and the Maguanacs. Together, they make short work of the remaining MS's. Afterward, Quatre and Trowa begin to fight, but Quatre realizes there's no point and surrenders to Trowa. Trowa also comes out to surrender to him.
Now Just Communication starts playing in the background as Duo and Heero reappear. Duo is raising their Gundams for repair as Heero sets his broken leg ("Man, totally gross me out!")

Episode4 - The Victorian Nightmare

Heero and Duo are making repairs to their Gundams. Duo offers help from him and the Sweepers, but Heero declines as he does not want anybody touching his Wing Gundam. Heero then recieves orders to destroy a cargo jet carrying gundanium alloy for the morning. Duo is surprised that Heero thinks he can repair a Gundam in just one night. Duo then goes into a long speech asking himself why he ever saved "this guy." Heero quickly tells him to "shutup."
Relena, obviously smitten now by Heero, stands at the point where he disappeared yelling to come and kill her. Her father, Vice Minister Dorlian, is at a meeting of Alliance officials to discuss the threat of the Gundams. He readily defends the colonies, but he is accused of being a spy (that crazy General Septum) and told to leave.
Treize Kushrenada and Lady Une are making plans on what to do about Zechs while Treize takes his bath (has he no shame).
Then we come full circle back to Heero and Duo. Duo is turning in for the night as Heero continues to burn the midnight oil. The next morning, Heero has the last insane laugh as he takes off in his Wing to go destroy the jet. Duo commends him until he realizes where Heero got the parts. From the Deathscythe (TRAITOOOOOR!!).
Wufei has planned his next attack and goes to carry it out. He travels to the Lake Victoria OZ base where Zechs has just recently traveled to get help from Lucretia Noin. Wufei destroys the training pilots barracks and rushes back to his Shenlong Gundam. He is caught halfway by Noin who realizes he's just a "kid", and Wufei realizes she is a "weak" woman. Wufei makes his escape and runs for Nataku (his name for his Gundam). Once inside, he attacks Noin and takes her down. Two of her soldiers are ready to destroy Wufei, but Noin stops them. Wufei promptly kills both of them and aims the laser they were using to destroy the new model Taurus space suits. He then leaves Noin to think for a while and flies away thinking of his "weak" enemies.
Noin is brought back in as Zechs goes to meet her. She is disheartened by being defeated so easily, but Zechs tells her he has lost to them too. She makes an unfunny joke then asks Zechs to take her under his wing and help her be stronger. Wufei is out in the savanna thinking about how no one can defeat him. He is surrounded by hyenas, but yells at them until they run away. He ends with a primal scream at the sky.

Episode5 - Relena's Secret

Vice Minister Dorlian has once again been called to outer space and has brought Relena along for the ride. However, on this ride, Lady Une has come. Upon reaching the colony, Dorlian goes to his meeting with the colony officials, but Une is kicked out. She is fine with this as she leaves an explosive compact by the room. Relena comes by to say she is going out and sees the compact on the table. She brings it to Lady Une ("YOU FOOOOL!") Lady Une grabs it and throws it back into the room which explodes.
Relena goes into the room to find all but her father dead, but he is very hurt. Some mysterious men show up and take him and Relena to their van. They almost run down Lady Une on their way out. While in the van, Dorlian wakes long enough to let Relena know that she is not his daughter, but the daughter of a famous pacifist leader. Her real name is Relena Peacecraft. They both then fall asleep (the guys gave her an injection), and when Relena wakes, Dorlian is dead. Relena is a little upset and pulls a gun on the people she blames for her "father's" death. Dr. J shows up and surprises her enough for the guys to take her gun.
At this point, the attention shifts to Heero as he prepares to destroy another base. While scenes swap between Heero and Relena with Dr. J in a limo, Dr. J explains Heero's purpose. He tells Relena of the first Heero Yuy and why Heero is named after him. He then tells her that Heero was raised as a professional asassin in order to be the best, most efficient pilot ever. He explains that the gundams were sent to Earth to destroy a secret organization known as OZ. He lets Relena off at a spaceport so she can be smuggled home.
Now all attention is focused on Heero as he destroys the base with ease. The only surprise is when Duo shows up to "help." Heero levels his buster rifle at Duo as Duo aims his shield buster at Heero. It's a stalemate until Duo slips. Heero fires, but misses. The beam hits an enemy that was about to attack Duo. Heero flies off saying, "Now we're even." and laughs maniacally.
