Ayeka absolutely hates Ryoko, and immediately tries to bend the rules to aprehend Ryoko. Ryoko's ship Ryo-ohki gets into a battle with Ayeka's ship ( whose name is Ryou-uh ) and is damaged so bad that she along with her sister Sasami are forced to stay on Earth with Tenchi for a while.

As the series is beginning, Ayeka seems to be very up-tight and always tries to do "what a princess would." As the series progresses Ayeka unwinds and actually becomes friends with Ryoko ( Although this friendship is always on the verge of war ^_^ ) and shows a softer side... especially towards Tenchi. Now that her fiance ( Yosho, actually now her Ex-fiance ) is way too old for her, she needs a new one. Who better than a direct descendant of Yosho ??? This love for Tenchi is almost always the cause of trouble between Ayeka and Ryoko as they always compete for attention.
