Hey. Pokémon pinball is one of Nintendo's newest games, and it is another Pokémon hit. It features all 150 pokémon too, and the manual doesn't quite list all of their locations. Here are some hints, tips and other good stuff to help you along the way.
Part 1: Basics
Pokémon Pinball is a great game. It is the first Game Boy game with a Rumble feature. I would give it a 8.2, and the experts at Nintendo gave it an 8.3 ( Nintendo Power, issue 122). The object of the game, obviously, is to catch all of the pokémon. It has a red and blue table, each with different pokémon. This is a new generation of pinball.
Part 2: Basic Tips
The main tips to get more pokémon are here. To catch a pokémon, you must until at least 2 lights on the right ramp are solid, and then (in red) get the ball in Bellsprout's mouth and (in blue) get the pinball in Cloyster's mouth. Then you must hit the voltorbs or cloysters at the top of the screen 6 times to show a picture of the pokémon instead of a silhouette and finally, after the picture turns into the actual pokémon, you must hit it 4 times to capture it.
To evolve a pokémon, all three lights on the right ramp must be solid, and you must put the ball in Ditto's cave or Slowpoke's mouth. Then, you choose the pokémon you want to evolve. From there, hit the areas with the arrows pointing to them and get the item you need to evolve that pokémon that is hidden somewhere on the screen (for example, a game link cable for an Alakazam), and this will have to be done three times. If it says "Your pokémon is tired" you will have to make the ball go at least halfway up the right or left ramps. After you have all three items, you get the ball in the hole above the pre-evolved pokémon. Be careful though; you have one minute bafore the ball saver turns off.
Map moves are also very difficult. To make a map move, you hit a Diglett, Psyduck or Poliwag so that it says "3" and then go up the ramps here the arrows are flashing. Then get in the hole when it says "go to next". You have thirty seconds to do this.
