When they reached the centare, Akurei quickly gave the nurse his maxtraballs. She took them away, and only a minute later returned and gave them to him.
“Thank you, and goodluck.”
“I need a map chip to the next city…”
“Oh! Here ya go.” She handed him it. “Make sure to fly out of the city.”
“Uhh… Why?”
“The road is blocked… there was a huge accident involving a Slididon and a Granate it would seem.” She laughed. “Oh… it was funny!”
Akurei chuckled. “If you cant fly… Is there some other way out?”
She blinked. “You didn’t get a flyer when you started?”
“A flyer?
“When someone starts a journey… They get an Air pokemon to fly them around. It cant fight in battles, and can’t even be carried, just can be used to get them around. The pokemon I believe is called “Airdraton” (Air-dra-ton).”
“I never got one…”
“Umm… you want to borrow mine?”
“Well… first… are there ANY other ways out?”
“There is… through the Diem territory… which no one had survived…”
“Uhh… I think I’ll fly…” She handed him a pokeball.
“This will vanish back to me when you land. If you need it again, press the gold button on your ultradex.”
“Thx!” He walked outside. He smiled at Geminite. “We get to fly again!” he laughed as Geminite snorted. “You’ll be in a pokeball this time. Geminite, return!” She was sucked back into the ball. “Airdraton come forth!” A Pidgeot sized bird of gray stone that looked abit like Fearow came out. It fixed Akurei with a gray eye and waited. Akurei climbed onto its back and tried to relax.
“Uhh… Airdraton fly past the accident… Can you do that?” The Air pokemon nodded and took off. Akurei grinned as its large wings sped up and made him rise higher and higher. When they were past the treetops, it zoomed forward. Akurei hung on tight as it banked to the right. He remembered Moltres from back home, his own true bird pokemon, who would love to spend hours flying for fun with Akurei on his back. His grin grew as he remembered the time that Moltres flew to the Pokemon League Games and nearly gave a few people a heart attack. When they had landed, Akurei waved to them all. In the crowd had been Professor Birch, his mentor of pokemon, his brothers and sister and mother, who had come to see him. The whole area was silent. No one had ever seen a Moltres before. He had screamed… “LET THE GAMES BEGIN BY THE EVER-LIVING FLAME OF MOLTRES!” And the games had begun… Akurei sighed slightly and leaned closer to Airdraton’s neck. But a wiggling in his pouch
made him sit up.
“Huh?? NO THE EGGS!” He gasped. “AIRDRATON STOP!!” But the bird had its command and wouldn’t stop. Akurei hoped that the eggs wouldn’t hatch just yet…

“There, there, there! Land!” The eggs were getting warm and moving more. Airdraton slowly landed and he jumped off. He saw Airdraton vanish and he sat down in the grass on the side of the road. Geminite’s maxtraball opened and she popped out.
“Akurei what’s wrong??”
“The eggs!!!” He pulled them out of his pouch and set them down. All at
once, they started glowing and wriggling.
“They’re going to hatch…” He said breathlessly. Indeed, there was a long crack in them all ready. The first one started to shimmer, then cracked open with a pop, followed by the other two. Akurei looked inside the shells…
“Oh… omg…” Inside the eggs were tiny bird pokemon, white as snow. Geminite blinked.
“They need to eat…” Ut oh…
“What do they eat?”
“Try giving them a tiny piece of your pokemon food stuff.” He broke off a tiny piece and mashed it between his fingers and carefully fed the first one. As soon as it ate, it looked at him.
“Moma..?” The tiny voice said in his mind. All three birds were staring at him. They thought he was their mother! They hopped out of their shells and toddled over to him. Akurei carefully picked them up and held them against his body, where they fell asleep.
“Wo…nuts…” He said quietly. He stood up and carefully fumbled his way onto Geminite’s back, careful to keep the birds asleep. He nodded to Geminite and pointed her in the right direction. She, thank Mew, was very soft-stepping and made her way through the forest. Akurei held on with his legs, something he learned with his ponyta, and studied the three pokemon in his arms. They all were very tiny, he could hold one in his palm, with long white feathers that shimmered. Their tails reminded him of Articuno, very long and thin, and their beaks were like a hawks, short but extremely sharp-looking. Akurei got out his ultradex and told it to quietly tell him what they were.

“Pokemon unknown, but they seem to be giving off a strange but safe radiation…” It said softly.

Akurei stared. No way… wo! He looked up as Geminite stopped. She stood before a tiny pokemon made out of wood. It looked at Geminite once, hissed, and ran off. When Geminite looked back at Akurei…
“After it!” He said and she bolted after it. She twisted silently through the trees, trying to follow the other pokemon. But after only a few moments, Akurei knew they had lost it. Damn…
“Go back to the trail Gem.” He yawned and shook his head. They had to stop soon for the night…

The world… so bright and so new! Warm and soft… and moma…
“Ursa…”
“Aries…”
“Orion…”
Their names? Yes… names…

“Can we stop here?” Geminite said, tiredly. Her paws were starting to kill since she wasn’t used to carrying someone on her back, but she was happy and willing to do it for Akurei. Akurei laughed softly and nodded. She lowered her belly to the ground and Akurei hopped off, holding the three younglings in his arms. He quickly set up a camp and let out his over pokemon. Granight wrapped around them, creating a circle of stone, Bedine shoved in next to him with Mistem, and Geminite let him rest his head on her side, her one paw over him gently. The three younglings were in the circle of his arm. She noticed that Chamelion stood on Granight and then sat down to watch over them. Didn’t that pokemon ever sleep? She noticed with a relieved mental sigh that Akurei had the brains not to let out Diem. One of the tiny birds chirped softly, and she nuzzled it. It hopped up on her head and settled on her head. Geminite chuckled softly and fell asleep listening to Akurei’s deep breathing…

“Master master he’s here! Almost to The Newway Jungle!” A voice whispered into something in the trees.
“Very good… get the others and capture him. Now!”
Whatever is was simply turned the object in its claws to show the group and all the pokemon around.
“Hrmm… wait till he is in the trap. Get those pokemon for me… they might serve useful…”
“Yes Master, right away.”
And all was quiet…

All was quiet, so quiet that it made him smile for the first time in a long time. The human, Akurei, was sleep against the big pokemon with the black fur. He pulled away as quietly as he could and slowly snaked his way to the nearest river. He took a drink from it, this water not hurting him. A sigh and he drew himself up high. The sun would rise soon, and he would have to go back into that strange ball. Well… he was better off then in the wild… No more hunting for food! Granight gave a deep rumbling chuckle and went back to Akurei and the rest. The big pokemon that was green gave him a dirty look but went back to watching the area. Granight snorted and carefully grabbed his maxtraball and nudged the button with his nose, and popped back inside…

“Stupid bunch of rocks.” That earned a glance from Geminite.
“Still awake? Can you keep Akurei warm… I need to hunt.”
Chamelion snorted then nodded. “Fine…” Geminite slipped out from under Akurei and Chamelion took her place.
“Thanks” And she vanishes into the woods. He snorted softly and curled up and soon fell asleep.

“What… is this place…?”
“This is your mind… and I am here to show you something my dear boy.”
“Show me what?”
“Just watch…”

“Arcane go!”
“Begine go!”
One pokemon of bright red, looking just like a…
“A Growlithe…”
The other he know…
“A begine…”
The battle waged, one trainer looking semi-human, one of something entirely different. Fire mixed with electricy…

“Do you see…?”
“Do I see what?”
A sigh. “This world… and the one you know… the birth of Mewtwo… and the one you call ancient… Mew. Arcane… and Growlithe… Can you not see it? Can you not, chosen one?”
“See what?! Chosen one? What do you mean?”
“You will see my son… you will see… do not forget anything I tell you… and never forget what Mew taught you…” The voice faded, replaced by images…

“Wha…Where am I?” A strange language… no he knew this…
“I do not know my friend.” A high pitched voice next to him.
“Where’s daddy… and mother???!!!” A child’s voice this time.
“It seems… we are somewhere new…” The second voice sounded more intent. The sensation of standing up, grass under bare feet.
“Myuu… I’m scared…” A whisper, then something soft against his cheek. White fur with the barest hint of pink…
*Mew…*
“Do not be scared… I am here with you…” Arms encircled Myuu…
“Thank you…”
“We should find shelter…”
“Where though…?”
“Right… AKUREI WATCH OUT!” And suddenly all was black…

“NO!!!!!!!” Akurei sat up screaming. “MYUU!!!!”
Everyone in the camp jumped to their feet around a sobbing Akurei, Geminite, back from her hunt, stared about them. The three baby birds starting chirping, and Chamelion growled. Akurei curled up.
“No… no… Myuu… is that what happened…? Oh Myuu…”
“Akurei what on the ancestors is wrong!?”
“Dream… just a dream…” He called Chamelion and Mistem back to their balls and quieted the three birds down. He placed them on Geminite’s head and rested on her back.
“Follow this map…” He showed it to her. “Go to the town…” He yawned and fell asleep.

She smiled at him and walked slowly through the forest. It was really quiet out today… to quiet. Geminite growled low in her throat and hurried up. The next centare stood only a mile from where they were, where was the path!? The fog was getting really thick, making it harder and harder to see. Geminite ran, but was stopped when a net fell over her. She roared hard, waking Akurei up. Akurei grabbed the birds and tucked them in his jacket.
The net…
“Geminite!’ He said… but he was so tired… She could feel him go limp over her back. A moment later, she fell to her knees, then asleep.

“Get up!” A voice told him. He slowly arose to his feet, and looked helplessly for Geminite. His hand flew to his belt, but his maxtraballs were gone!
“Looking for your pokemon hmmm?” The voice laughed. Akurei blinked and turned to see a strange looking creature, maybe 3 feet tall and looked like an ogre he had once seen in a story book. It bared its teeth at him and walked away, locking the cage behind him. On the floor was a sad meal of some strange meat and bread and water. Akurei glanced about nervously, then sat down and opened his jacket. The three birds tumbled into his lap, chirping softly. He shook his head.
“Shhh…”
He looked around him. It was SERIOUSLY weird! Rock surrounded him on all sides, and his claustrophobia hit. He took deep breaths, eyes wide, and whimpered. This brought the guard to look at him. The creature’s eyes flew wide, the white pupilfilled things they were, at the sight of the three snow-white pokemon. He ran off in a hurry. Akurei was getting nuzzled with hard beaks in the meantime. He looked at the birds and smiled slowly. They stared back with white eyes. He put out a hand and they waddled to him.
“Be safe you three…”
He leaned back with them on his chest, figuring there was nothing he could do till someone got him. He looked about and saw a strange flaw in the rock. He dug at it, with the three birds chipping away too, and finally pulled out a gem the size of his fist. The gem was a brilliant ice-blue, but he could see something set deep within it.
“A… snowflake?” Indeed, deep in the gem was a single sparkling snowflake.
“Wow…” One of the birds toddled to him and tapped the gem with its beak. As soon as it touched the stone, it started to glow. Akurei watched in amazement as the tiny bird started to grow in size. When the brilliant flash went away, he stared. In front of him was a blizzard set in the shape of a bird. It was huge, nearly five feet tall, and had to duck its head. It was made of hundreds of tiny snowflakes that moved constantly, like some wind was blowing them, and as if they were trapped in a snow dome in the shape of a magnificent bird. It had a long neck, with that same hawk-like beak, with two sapphire eyes in the midst of that swirling body. It’s tail was long and gracefully and it had deadly looking claws. All of this was outlined slightly by the confusion of snow within it.
“Ursa…!” The new pokemon called.

“Pokemon… Unknown”

Akurei stared at his ultradex a moment, then looked back up as he heard footsteps.
“We cant hide something as big as you!” But Ursa had other ideas. Her sized diminished till she was the size of a songbird. She perched on his finger. Akurei snorted and hid the gem in his pocket. When the guards came, they grunted at him in some weird language. Akurei stared, unknowning. Then the guards saw Ursa, and went ballistic. Akurei stared again as one guard started to bow to him, then another, and so on. What was going on?
“Ummm… Take me to your leader!” *Always wanted to say that…* One guard pointed to a long tunnel and gestured to go down it. Akurei nodded and picked up the other pokemon and ran down it. After only a minute of running, he entered a HUGE cavern. The roof and walls seemed to be made of great crystals of every shape, size, and color. In front of him were creatures much like the guards, but some were shorter, some were of every color imaginable, and some wore jewelry. They all stared at him with pupil-filled eyes. Akurei shifted for a moment, waiting. Ursa let out a long, beautiful call that lit the crystal around them. The creatures stirred, then, one by one, they all kneeled. Akurei watched, nervous, wondering.
“We… do not speak… your language… save me.” A green-skinned creature walked forward. “My name is Magor. And these…” He gestured to the people about him.
“Are called the underlings. We have lived under ground for over 300 years… before the end of this world.”
