Gemaside lurked in the bushes just behind a Kowla, getting ready to pounce. She a snap and a lurch of her psychic powers, she fell open the helpless pokemon. The psychic pokemon fought against her deadly ones, but fell dead to a slash of her claws on its stomach. Gemaside buried her muzzle into the steaming inners and ate, the only sounds were her chewing. She finished and washed up in a small collection of water in the roots of a tree, and headed back towards Akureis camp. When she got there, both Bedine and Akurei were asleep. She yawned and sat down on a nearby log, and waited for the sun to rise
She awoke to the sounds of yelling and barking, blinking she looked around fuzzily, jumping up. Within the space of a second, a device was put over her head, ear, and eyes. Gemaside tried to blast it off with her mind, but the device seemed to radiate and return her powers. She groaned painfully, and slashed forward with her claws. They caught on soft flesh, the sound of a somewhat muted painful howl followed. She whipped her tail around, trying to catch the flame on someone. But instead they threw a net on her. It seemed very wet and cold, but it had something else on it. She felt sleepy, like she had spent a whole week awake. Falling forward, she conked out. The last thing she heard was.. NO!! GEMASIDE!! BEDINE!!
Bedine awoke beside him as Akurei looked around. Bars of steel seemed to be in front of him, reminding him of a
A jail!? IM IN JAIL!?
Bedine slowly stood up, shaking his head. Sparks flew in his eyes in rage, feeling the pain from a large bump on his head, and a collar around his neck. Akurei struggled and sighed as he found out his hands where tied behind his back. A person stood up before, on the other side of the bars.
Hey kid, finally youre awake. You need to be to see the execution of your Gemaside.
WHAT!? You cant kill Gemaside!
Yes we can, its a law. In 10 minutes you will be outside
And he walked away. Akurei screamed in his mind, a tear fell down his cheek. What happened?! Why was he like this and why was Gemaside going to be killed? OH! He remembered. Gemasides were so dangerous
Illegal too. Bedine licked his cheek sadly.
For a Gemaside she was good Akurei
Be strong like she is. They will at least kill her while she is still knocked out from the sleepdust.
But Bedine
I cant see her die
I cant. There has to be a way out! Bedine thought.
Maybe I can shock our way out! he charged. THUNDERCRASH NOW! He screamed.
And nothing happened
Bedine blinked. Akurei groaned again as he knew what that awful collar was.
It must negate the eletric powers
. Damn!
We cant get out Bedine
and Gemaside will die..
Bedine grunted and laid down.
At least you will still be alive, human. Better you then Gemaside.
Yea
but
His sentence was cut off by someone whispering at him. From the shadows of the room on the oppisite side of the bar stood a man.
Its you! Akurei cried.
The man.. the stranger who had helped him before, stood there indeed. He moved forward and swept his hand over the lock of the cell. It clicked, and the door slammed open. Akurei gave Bedine a shove and both of them ran from the horrid cell. The stranger pointed to a door and vanished. Akurei sighed as he watched the stranger leave. He headed for the door the man had pointed up, but he heard an animal grunt from the other door across the hall. He walked to it, and slowly opened it. Inside stood hundreds of cages, many of them filled with pokemon. He gasped and watched as Bedine walked forward and talked to a Begine. Bedine nodded and walked back to Akurei.
This is the centare. (cen-tar-ray) What you would call a pokemon center. But
It seems they keep pokemon in these horrible condition, where they are here for awhile or for an hour. This Begine has been here for three years. They had told his trainer that he had run away. They have done experiments on him, trying to figure out how he works. Over on the table behind you, he said, is a pointy object that can get the collar on my neck open, and open all the cages.
Akurei nodded and grabbed the object. It was as long as a pencil and had a pointy end. He looked at the collar on Bedine and placed the end in a hole that seemed to fit it. The collar snapped open and fell to the ground. Akurei picked it up and put it and the object in his backpack, but not before opening all the cages. Pokemon of every shape and size came running, flying, or floating out. The pokemon all looked at him. Akurei looked around, but saw no window.
Everyone listen up! Well have to be very careful! To escape, just please listen to me for abit. Will all the psychic pokemon please come forth?
Nearly 15 pokemon came to him. He kneeled before them.
Listen. I want you all to put up a shield over all of us that will make us invisible till we can get out. Can you do that?
They all nodded, and closed their eyes. In a moment, a lightly shimmering appeared over him and all the pokemon. He smiled and nodded to them all.
Lets going everyone! Dont make a sound!
He looked at the flying pokemon.
You flyers, land on a bigger pokemons back so youre wings dont make any noise.
They obeyed. He walked out of the room, followed by all of the pokemon.
They hurried down the hall and to an open door. They walked out into a huge room that had many people in it. He pointed to the door and walked out of it. He, followed by the pokemon, led them into the forest.
Ok everyone go! And good luck! Try to find your owners or be free at last!
He was greeted by the cheering of fifty or so pokemon as they fled. His face turned cold as he ran back towards the centare. Bedine bolted in front of him and led the way, snapping and shocking anyone in his way. Slowly, the two of them got to a room that Bedine said he could sense her in. Gemaside laid drugged in a small cage, and before her, the his back to them, was a man with a large psychic and bullet gun. Akurei saw the mans finger tighten.
NO!!!!
And he ran in front of the gun just a deafening blast rung through the centare
He could feel the bullet drive in his flesh, making a burnning tunnel through skin and muscle. He fell to his side, hands over the entrance point. In his mind, pain burning into him. The man stood stunned, and Bedine was nuzzling him, making soft worried noises. Akurei felt light-headed, and slowly passed out
Gemaside felt sick and heavy, she couldnt life a paw or her head, and couldnt seem to get her mind to work right. The world passed by in a dream state, soft and colorless. She could barely register a noise when it came. Suddenly, something was there, a force. It made her world zap back into reality. The first thing she saw as she opened her eyes, was Akurei, laying on the floor, knocked out, and a pool of blood seeping around him. She
jumped to her feet, only to have her legs give out and send her crashing to the floor. Bedine was there, helping her with his mind. Gemaside slowly stood up, eyes blazing in fury, seeing the man who had killed Akurei. She powered up her mind, calling forth one of her deadly attacks, Heart Strike. Blackened energy swirled around her, making her tails flame grow, making the device over her shudder and explode. Bedine was standing over Akureis body, a yellowish dome over both of them to keep them from getting hurt. Gemaside roared as loud as she could and sent a direct link to the mans heart. He stood frozen as she sent a burning beam into his heart, no wound to the flesh, and fell to the floor as his heart burst. Blood spued from his open mouth and nose as he stared into the distance. She panted and releashed her powers from their work, and turned to look at Akurei. He wasnt breathing, his pulse was stopped. She sat their in shock, not knowing
what to do. This
human
had saved her life, twice. Now, steeped in blood, her bond to him was unbreakable. She slowly made her way to Akurei, and closed her eyes.
Bedine
we must save him
Yes, but how? His voice full of worry.
We
we have to make him psychic
We have to give him the power and heal him
but only he can heal his mind. She sighed.
Yes. I think you have a point. What should I do?
Try to stir the psychic part of his mind into life. Feed it power
Our power. Train him in our attacks. But first, help me heal him. Make your mind to close the flesh and remake the muscle.
Ok.
They both went to work, sealing the flesh and remaking the torn muscle. Gemaside worked on the mind, getting it to fuction again, as Bedine made the heart to beat again. Finally, she nodded to Bedine, and together, they gently pushed and pulled on his mind, finding and waking the sleeping powers within him. Blue-black energy swirled around Akurei as they slowly, paintakingly taught him their psychic moves. Gemasides: PsychicSpan, Heart Strike, Nightmare, and Bedines: MindShock, Deaths Toll. Akureis body jerked, and his eyes opened
The world went black, and stayed that way. But slowly, inching, it brightened. But the world shattered as a pain slammed into his chest, and again, and again, and slowly it stopped. His mind felt a burning tingle in his mind, and curled his numb limbs against him tighter. He sobbed sadly, and tried to fight the powers that held him. But the powers gently overrode him. Something licked his cheek, and nuzzled his arms, trying to get him to relax. Akurei turned his head, and felt grass and pine needles against his skin. His eyes shut tighter and he whimpered. He could feel
something
burning inside him, wanting release. |
