Ok, I will come with you.
He smiled his thanks. Nearby, the Bedine was waking up. Akurei turned and gave him a spray of the potion. It made him better fast. He shook out his yellow coat, small sparks flying off of it. He yawned and noticed Gemaside. He growled darkly.
I thought I killed you! He said in her mind, his voice dog-like and gravelly, unlike her cat-like, higher voice.
Iie... This
human saved us. Look, I know we are enemies Bedine, but we need to get along for the time being. Ok? Im going with this human to help him until he can fighter the Masters. You owe it to him. He saved your life too.
A sigh, I suppose youre right. I will go with it.
Gemaside turned to Akurei, who watched them in interest. He hadnt heard their conversation.
We will both go with you, Akurei.
Great! Look
please. I know you are both
dangerous
And to have a Gemaside is illegal in these parts. So we will need to be careful. Will you both go in the maxtraballs?
The Bedine and Gemaside looked at each other in confusion. What was Akurei talking about?
What is a
maxtraball? The Bedine asked cautiously.
Its this, Akurei pulled out a shiny ball, black on top, red on the bottom. It will hold a pokemon in it, and it will keep you hidden.
I will do it! Sounds better then walking
Bedine laughed.
There is no way in hell you could get me in that thing
to cramped!
Gemaside snorted gracefully and flicked her head. Especially if that Bedine is in one of them.
The Bedine growled at her, but said nothing.
Ok
. Bedine, Return! Akurei called out, holding the maxtraball up.
Bedine glowed and was sucked into the core of the ball. Gemaside tilted her head in amusement.
Lets go, Gemaside! Triton City awaits with the aqua gym!
This is BORING and Im HUNGRY! The Bedine wailed in her mind.
Shut up you annoying DOG! Gemaside screamed back, ticked.
Akurei shook his head and kept walking down the small path towards Triton City. They hadnt seen another soul, pokemon or otherwise, in over two days. He heaved a sigh. Could he win against the aqua gym? Bedine was perfect for the job, but could Gemaside, part fire, handle it? He guessed Bedine and Gemaside at possibly level 100 of 300, but
. He knew that Triton, leader of the Aqua gym and who the city was named after, had pokemon at 125. Each city would be worse and worse. But he knew he would get more pokemon, and would do fine.
He remembered falling into this world after a Mewtwo had surprised him in a lake one day. The Mewtwo had used some
portal or something on him and had sucked him into a huge tree in the world. He remembered the dark stranger who found him, gave him the maxtraballs and ultradex, and told him of the world. Triton city was the only city he knew of so far, so he would have to ask about the next town. His sigh came from the memory of giving up his pokemon, giving them to the dark stranger so they wouldnt get hurt.
Mew
Venasaur
Blastoise
Charizard
Dragonite
Electrabuzz
God I miss you guys so much
Even Gengar
He sobbed.
His mind ran with the memory of Ashs Charizard coming at his faithful Gengar, both badly beaten. The Charizard powered up, and send a piercing blast of fire into Gengar. The poor pokemon fell down, dead, his ghostly matter whisping away. Ash and Charizard both fell silent, and told him he was the new pokemon master, and that he, too, knew of losing a pokemon
and a friend. He had lost pikachu, never evolved, in a fight to the death with Gary. Gary had lost it, and suddenly called out all of his pokemon. The 6 pokemon beat up on pikachu
and finally killed him in one last blow to the head.
Akurei sighed as the images faded, and looked down at Gemaside, who had her head down to the path.
Akurei
somethings not right. There are no smells
human or pokemon
just the dirt and leaves and such.
Oh shit
something IS wrong then. What should we do?
She thought. Maybe they could just keep going and get there.
We need to keep going and see what happens. I think not many things use this path
it is very far from the
city.
Hey! How did you know about the
The city? I read your mind silly human.
He coughed, Oh.. I forgot. Heh
Night came in its turn, and Akurei let Bedine out for a bite to eat. He made a fire, with the help of Gemasides tail, and pulled his sleeping bag out. He got a packet of sorts from his pouch, to her amazement, and opened it. Inside was food, she guessed, for humans.
I need to eat, Human.
I know
But
What do you eat? And Bedine too.
I hunt. He eats whatever he can find. Her laughter rang in his head.
You mean you hunt and kill other pokemon!? Wo! I didnt know!
You arent supposed to
I believe that is why they think I am dangerous.. not that Im not. Because I kill. Hmph. I would like to see them live in the wild for too long. I bet they would kill too.
I guess you are right, Gemaside. Look, go hunt. But please come back soon.
She snorted lightly, I couldnt leave you now. I want to see what this city is like.
Ok, hurry back!
All he got in return was a flick of her tail as she disappeared from the fire light. The Bedine was asleep at his feet, snoring. Akurei knew he hadto be hungry. God, but this pokemon reminded him greatly of the pet Growlithe he had at home. Bedine was pretty big, muscular, and strong looking. He had a yellow coat, with zigzags of white and gold running through it. He had massive paws, and a broad hear. The tail was gold at the end closest to the body, then yellow, then white at the tip. It was big, and fluffy somewhat, with mats in it from years of living.
Bedine
wake up
He gently tapped the sleeping pokemons head.
Bedine woke up and peered up at him.
What do you want? He asked sleepily in Akureis head.
You hungry? He pulled out a hunk of the meat the stranger said he would need on his trip.
Oh boy! FOOD! The Bedines excited voice rang in his head, abit too loudly.
Here ya go. He tossed the Bedine the meat.
With a flash, the Bedine smoked the piece of meat with a zap before he caught it in his mouth. Akurei blinked, and laughed as Bedine curled up, a paw over the edge of the meat to hold it in place, and ate.
Gnight Bedine. Get some sleep my friend.
Gr..ok
*munch*
Was the pokemons reply.
Bedine sighed with his meal gone and watched the human get into a bag and fall asleep in a few seconds. |
