Chapter 1

I awake right on time to go receive my first pokémon.
“I’m going to get a Charmander,” I whisper while putting my dark green hair into a high ponytail. I slip out of my bad clothes and into my best outfit. A nice tight but comfortable red shirt with blue jean overalls. I walk through the house and I find my parents up. I run to hug them goodbye.
“I’m going to miss you Jewel!” my mom says to me and then she starts to cry.
“I’ll miss both of you so much! But I don’t want to be late.” I reply. My hazel eyes water while I give both my parents kisses. I’m going to miss them so much. I think walking out the door because today I’m starting my pokémon journey. I get together the pokéballs that I had been saving up for and put them into my black belt-pack. I get together some clothes and other necessities and put them into my green backpack. I put it on one shoulder and hop on my blue and black bike. I petal as fast as I can over to Professor Oak’s lab to find out I’m the first one there.
“Hello Jewel,” Professor Oak says.
“Hi Professor. It’s nice to see you again. I’m ready for my first pokémon.”
“Who do you pick?”
“I pick Charmander.”
“The Charmander.” He says handing me the pokéball. I stick it a black bag on my belt. “That’s a good choice. Is there any reason you chose Charmander?”
“I want to be a fire pokémon master and take over Cinnabar Island Gym.”
“Well then, since you are doing a different task I’ll give you a Growlithe that I found outside. Blaine has some competition now. Please take care… Oh yeah take this masterball and these 4 ultraballs. They will help you to catch some more fire pokémon to help you on your journey.”
I glance over and see and a red and white watch with many tools by it. “Professor, what’s that?” I ask pointing to it.
“It’s a prototype of a pokéwatch that I’ve been working on.” He explains as he picks it up showing me the different buttons. “It is a watch as well as a pokédex, an Id, a TV and a phone.”
“Cool. Can I test it for you?”
“Well, okay. He says snapping it on my wrist. “I know it has a few faults so I what you to take this pokédex in case the watch breaks. Please take care and phone me about how you’re doing. I want to hear from you soon.”
“I’ll call you when I get to Viridian City. I will catch a few other pokémon but fire pokémon will always be my true calling.”
“Do you know how to get control over the Cinnabar Gym?”
“No. How?”
“Well you have to beat every gym leader with only fire pokémon. When you challenge them say, ’I’m going to be a gym leader and I need to battle you for the special badge.’ He will use tougher pokémon then he would if you were battling him for a normal badge. You have to get all 7 special badges then you can fight Blaine for his gym. You got it?”
“Yeah thanx. Bye Professor Oak.”
“Bye and take care.”

Chapter 2

I begin my trip by riding down a dirt path that I was never allowed to take because I didn’t have a pokémon to protect me from wild pokémon. The sun shines on my back. Smiling I petal faster and get some speed going. I stop suddenly when I see a pokémon in right front of me in the middle of the road. I point my pokéwatch at the creature and press a button on the side of the watch activating the pokéwatch feature. A picture of a Hypno comes up and I hear a beep and a voice saying,

‘Hypno-a hypnosis pokémon.
When Hypno locks eyes with an enemy, it will
use a mix of PSI moves such as HYPNOSIS and
CONFUSION. An evolution of Drowzee.’

“Wow! What an advanced pokémon! But it looks injured… I’ll catch it and take it to the pokécenter in Viridian City. Pokéball go!” It hits the Hypno and sucks him in. The pokéball wiggles and the Hypno breaks free. “Dang! I was sure I got him! Hey I know I’ll try one of the four ultraballs that Professor Oak gave me.” I didn’t want to use the masterball because I only had one. I throw the ultraball at Hypno and he’s sucked into it. The ultraball wiggles then stops wiggling and the red light in the center goes out telling me that I caught him. “Yeah-I caught Hypno! I better get him to the pokécenter and quick.
I shrink the pokéball and put it into the bag on my belt. I petal as fast as I can and reach Viridian City in no time at all. I petal straight to the pokécenter and put my three pokémon on the tray and the nurse heals my Hypno and feeds Charmander and Growlithe. She hands them to me. I put them in my belt-pack and I decide to call Professor Oak. I press the auto dial and Oak picks up.
“Hello?”
“Hello Professor. It’s me Jewel. I’m in Viridian City.”
“Hi Jewel. I’m happy to see you got there safety. Did you get any new pokémon?”
“Well I caught a Hypno and brought him to the pokécenter here.”
“Wow! A Hypno! That’s amazing!
