Chapter 3: Show down for badge 1

I step into the pokémon center. Everyone is asleep except for a stupid looking boy in an official pokémon league base ball cap.He had a pikachu asleep in his lap."Hi" I say quietly as I pull out my sleeping bag.
"Ha! I already have one badge!" he said stupidly, "my name is Ash and I'm from Pallet town and I will be the greatest pokémon master!"
" Ooookay" I said realizing I souldn't have said a thing to the strange boy.
"I used Pikachu! I won! I'm so cool!" said "Ash."
"A Pikachu?" I said giggling," that was pretty stupid. Don't you have a pokémon thats not weak to rock?
" Don't tease Pikachu! The sprinkler turned on and I won cause of Pikachu's super strong thundershock!"
I started to giggle. How could anyone be so stupid? Thats how he one the water conducted the electricity. Lucky break for bobo boy.
I decided to get some rest. I called out seel. I wanted something to sleep with. I couldn't do Charmander do to it's tail and Weedle.... I can't say I'd love to sleep with a bug.
"Seel!" it said."Shhhh, their are people sleeping!"
I felt bad for Charmander and Weedle. I dumped the junk out of my backpack and padded the bottom with a towel. Then I opened it far to form a V shape.
This was for weedle."Weedle" I wispered.
Weedle popped out of it's pokéball. I pointed at the pack.
"Wee!" it said happily and slithered into the back pack.
Now for Charmander. I piled my other clothe up into a pile.
"That'll do" I mumer, "Go Charmander."
"Charrr" it said sleepily.
" Goodnight," I say as I curl up with Seel.

I woke up early the next morning. When I woke, my pokémon were already up. I brush my hair and call all of my pokémon back to their balls. I exit the pokémon center. From where I stand, I can see Pewter gym. I wonder which pokémon I'll use first. Seel is the one who is strong against rock, but if Seel gets k.oed to early, I'm toast. Plus I've never battled with seel. I decide if it's 1 on 1 seel all the way. 2 on 2 weedle will lead off then seel will follow. 3 on 3, I'll use Charmander second, but I can't rely on it to win. It would be lucky, if I did, but that's up to chance. I arrive at the gym.
" Excuse me...." I say, a little bit nerous," I would like a pokémon match....."
"Very, well" says a voice, "but you shall not win."
Brock steps out of the shadows. He definately needed to brush his hair. I decided not to joke about it though." Four on Four!" he called.
"Ummm.... I only have three pokémon..." I say embarrased.
" Ha, how pathetic...only three! Very well, three on three. Let's do it!"
"Your on, Pokéball go!" called Brock.
A strange pokémon popped out. It looked like a boulder with four arms and two legs." What is that?" I say.
For the first time I pull out my pokétron. It folded open like a book. It has lots of little buttons. I don't know how to use it so I press the "info"button in the far left corner of the tron.
" I am the pokétron 500, a later model of the pokédex. I am here to provide you with further information than the pokédex and to help identify pokémon. I have over 160 listed pokémon."
"Last , remember their were 150. Oh well." I mumble
Finally the machine gets to how to use its self.
"Hold me up to the pokémon you are curious about and press the large green button. To..."I flip it over into the closed position and re open it.
"Good. That shut it up." I wisper to myself.
" Are we gonna battle or not!" Brock says looking iritated." 1 minute!" I call.
"Gravler, a rock pokémon. The second form of Geodude. This powerful rock pokémon can is known for it's ability to camoflage it self as a....."
" Hurry up!!!!"
Brock was getting angry. I decided to forget about pokétron. I closed it and returned it to my pocket." Here we go... Weedle!" I yell.
"Pathetic... Gravler, rockslide!"
Gravler slid forward fast. To fast for me to call out a single command to Weedle. It hit Weedle with tremendous force sending Weedle flying back toward me.
"That my friend, was the most powerful rock attack." chuckled Brock.
" Weedle!" I cried,"don't give up!" Weedle struggled over to face Gravler again.
"Finish off that shrimp, rock throw!"
Weedle dodged the first rock, but I knew it couldn't keep it up.
"Weedle, string shot, keep it up until Gravler can't move," I say realizing winning badges wasn't going to be as easy as I had origionally thought back
in Burgundy...Gravler got stuck. It could barely move.
" Okay weedly, while it's still stuck poison sting. Keep up the good work!"
"Weeedle!" said my Weedle as it shot toward Gravler.
"Again!" I say after Weedle hits.
" Gravler, don't let that puny thing do that to you!" said Brock.
Next time weedle launched at Gravler, Gravler slapped it aside.
"Weeeeeee!" weedle cried as it rolled over.
Gravler pulled itself out of the string and started to charge. Then it stopped and sat down. It looked back at Brock."Grav....Ler" it said.
"Okay.... return!"called Brock.
Why'd he? I hadn't finished Gravler yet. Oh, Weedle must have poisoned it.
Weedle was badly hurt."Hang in there Weedle!""Onix!"
A huge rock snake entered the arina. I knew Weedle couldn't win. It would get hurt. It was in horrible shape."Weedle, return!" I called a little disappointed.
"Charmander!"
"Charmander!" it said happily, then it looked around and realized I wanted it to battle. It looked up at me."Char," it said and nodded.
It stepped into the battle field.

Charmander's and Seel's Big Fight

Charmander stared up at the enormous onix. Charmander was beginning to look less sure of it self.
"You can do it Charmander!" I bellowed,"I beleive in you!" I said only knowing Charmander would loose."Ony-ony... ROAR!" roared Onix.
Onix was poised for battle."Onix, Slam!" called Brock.
Onix slammed its self on the ground but Charmander happened to be a speedy pokémon and dodged with time to spare. Now I knew what I had to do. Onix maybe strong and huge, but my charmander will always be 10000 times faster.
"Skull bash!" I say full of enthusiasm.
When Charmander lifted it's head, instead of Onix flying up the way Mankey did, Charmander fell back stupified. Charmander shook it's head and stood up.
By the time it stood up, onix had started a charge attack.
"Charmander, look out!" I scream, for Charmanders sake."Mander!" it called.
It jumped up high but not high enough. Onix scrapes it's left leg badly as it passes under Charmander. Charmander landed on it's back.
" Charr..." it shouted helplessly.
I didn't call Charmander back because I had a strange feeling, deep inside that Charmander could win.
Charmander stood up. Limping on it's injured leg. Suddenly Charmander began to glow, it's tail fllared. It wasn't evolving though, I could tell.
Then it used a technique that I din't know it had. That was what it was doing. It learned a new attack cool!"Char..." it said in a deep voice.
It's tail flared further until it's flame was huge.
"What the...." said Brock dumdly, "Onix Tackle it before it charges for it's attack!"Onix charged at Charmander, but it was to late. Charmander used Rage. It started to take the upper hand of the battle."Unbelievable..." said Brock.
"Onix, return........" said Brock, obviosly disappointed."Yes!" I say happily.
"I underestimated you, this time, you won't win!"
Brock through out a pokeball."Rydon!""Ry!" it bellowed.
"Rydon, give that Charmander your Horndrill!""Charmander, Ember!"
A few sparks came out of Charmanders tail but very small weak ones.
"Don't give up now!"Charmander fell over.
"Your Charmanders to tired to battle!" chuckled Brock, "finish the job,Rydon!"
"Charmander return!"Charmander got sucked into the pokéball.
"It's okay, Charmander, you did a ton better than I thought you would, you were great," I whisper to Charmander's pokéball.
"It's up to you now!" I say tossing Seels pokéball."Seel," it said playfully.
" I'll play later!" I say angerly.
Seel looked at Rydon and began to back away toward me.
" Don't be scared," I whisper," you'll do great. Your friends, Weedle and Charmander worked really hard. Now it's up to you to finish what they started."
Seel stared into my eyes and I think it understood what it had to do.
It stepped up to fight Rydon."Arora beam!" I call.
"Seel" it said using the attack."Don!" yelled Rydon as it was pushed backwards.
"Watergun," I shout, regaining confidence in Seel.
A powerful spray of water finished off Rydon."No!" said Brock, "I lost.
Seel jumped into my arms.
"See, Seel. The power is in you. If you really try, you can win," I say at an almost whisper tone," return."Seel was zapped back into the pokéball.
" You've earned this," said Brock."Is that a badge? It's so small!" I exclaim.
"Well, it was worth your effort for it. Leave my gym now. You've already had your moment of triumph."
I headed for the pokemon center. Weedle and Charmander needed it badly. I left my pokeballs there for the rest of the day. Charmander was left in intense care all night and Weedle was returned to me when I came back to the pokémon center. The next morning I left for Mt. Moon.
