Chapter 15: The Pokedex, Poketron Showdown

Though I slept very well, I was woken early for the battle. I wasn't sure if this would be as easy as other battles I've had so far.
"Put on some nice clothes, we want our team to look good!" said the man who had brought me here the previous day.
"I don't have any,"Isay trying to be polite.
"Then wear what you have," he said and left the room.
As soon as I was dressed, I was rushed through breakfast and given a number. I was to wait in a room under and behind the stadium. When my number was called I'd walk up the stairs into the trainers box.
I think the order they called people in had to do with badges. If I was correct then number nine, my number, would be called third.
I despately tried to listen to the first battle that was taking place above me. I hoped my team mate was doing well. There were eight people on my team, so we needed to win 5 times to win the tournement.
The battle upstairs was over the boy on our team walked down.
"How did you do?" I ask.
"Aparently, I'm not allowed to say anything until the tourniment is over.
They'll annonce the winners and loosers then," he said.
Great! I can't stand suspence. I won't know if our team wins or looses for like another two hours?!
I waited impatiently while the two badge person went. Then not to my suprise, my number was called.
I walk up the stairs. Across the stadium on the aposing side is a huge colorful sign that says pokedex on it. I turn my head. I see an almost identical sign on our side that said poketron. My apponent had not yet entered the arena. I heard someone calling a number over and over from the other side.
To my suprise, I see the stupid looking boy...um Smash, Trash? Whatever his name is! Anyway it was the dumb boy I had seen in the pokemon center awhile ago. To my complete suprise, he was followed by Brock and Misty, the gym leaders!
So thats how he got three badges! He probably used their pokemon!
"Let the match begin two on two!" said a judgey looking man.
Seing his Pikachu, I decided to lead of with Gloom.
"Gloom!" I call.
Smash(Trash?) gave a really retarted laugh.
"Squirtle!"
Okay now I was desturbed. Was he trying to loose? I hope the pokedex team was full of loosers then our team would win easy.
"Gloom, razor leaf!" I call.
The attack misses only by a little.
"Suirtle lets go easy on her, sprinkle!" called Smash.
Sprinkle, I had never heard of it before.
Squirtle rolled it's eyes and sprayed a tiny drop of water on to Gloom.
"Finish it with Withdraw!" called Smash.
Squirtle sucked itself into the shell.
"Why aren't you attacking! Your supposed to hurt the Gloom!" he said.
This is to pathetic.
"Gloom, Razorleaf!"
This time Gloom was right on target. It hurt Squirtle badly. Though it wasn't finished off Mash called it back.
"Pikachu, it's up to you now..." he said with to much emotion
"Vinewip, Gloom!" I yell.
Pikachu dodged the attack, but fell backward doing so. It was getting up when Trash came sobbing up to Pikachu.
"Are you alright?" he said.
He picked up his pokemon.
"I forefit!" he yelled.
Misty and Brock looked at each other and were shaking their heads as they followed Mash back down the stairs.
"Poketron wins the battle!" said the judgey guy.
After a long wait all the paricepents were inviter up.
"The first battle went to.... Poketron!"
Our teaam cheered.
"Second.......Pokedex!"
The other team cheered.
"Third......Poketron"
I beamed with pride.
"Forth, Fith, Sixth,and Seventh.....Pokedex!"
Now I knew our team had lost.
"Eighth, Poketron!"
My team looked disapointed. To my suprise, I didn't seem to care we had lost.
"You...LOOSERS get out of here!" said tux man.
I left the building and got back on the path. I would be in Lavender town in no time! I walked left down the main path until the tunnel came into view. I stepped inside

Chapter 14: The Rock Tunnel

When I entered the tunnel, I was supprised to see it was even darker then Mt. Moon.
"Charmander, pull your tail out so I can see, please," I say.
"Char!" reasponded Charmander, while pulling out the tail.
"Now hold it above my head," I say.
There. Now I could see all around me. I walked forward down the single narrow passage. It was boring! Nothing to look at or anything! I felt like battling, something, someone.
I had seen plenty of Paras, WEAK! I needed something that would be a challenge.
I saw a geodude. Something new good... I might as well catch it..it can't hurt.
"Kukuna!"
Out came Kukuna.
"Smash!"
The geodude was almost ready to be caught.
"Harden, Smash combo!" I call
I was getting ready to throw a pokeball, when out of the darkness came another pokeball. Geodude was sucked in.
"I caught a really ugly pokemon!" chanted the girl who had captured it.
"You stole my Geodude! I was gonna catch it!" I said angrily.
"You snooze you loose! See," she said to another girl,"I always get it my way."
"My name is Liegres,stupid name huh, and I challenge you! I don't care about the Geodude! You can have I justwant to battle anywayl," I say, wanting revenge for my stolen Geodude.
"Okay, my name is Jess and I accept," she said mockingly.
"How many on how many?" I ask.
"How bout 1on1?"
"Fine by me," I say.
"Go Fluffers!" she said.
What the hell is a 'fluffers'?....A Jigglypuff.
"Clefairy, I choose you!"I yell.
"Jigglypuff, Sing," yelled Jess.
"Clefairy, Sing!" I yelled back.
Their voices in harmony sounded better than anything!
What?! This can't be! Both pokemon were asleep! Draw, No way!
"One more pokemon, since that didn't work," I say.
"No, I don't want to battle, you can have the money if you want," she offered.
"It's okay, I'm not really interested in money," I say.
"Um... would you mind if I come through the tunnel with you guys," I say.
"Okay," said the girl next to Jess.
"Great! It's been awhile since I've had an intelligent conversation.... with humans!" I say happily.
"Lets go," said Jess.
"Before we leave, I have one ques.......two questions. First, who is she?" I say pointing to the girl next to Jess, "And second who is this," I say pointing to a boy I had just noticed.
"Thats Lisa,"she said pointing to the girl," and that's Chris.
"Okay. Hi you guys," I say happily.
We start to walk. I can see the end of the tunnel clearly now. It will be at most another ten minutes.
"Look, we're almost there," said Lisa.
"What's that?" asked Chris, noticing Charmander in my backpack.
"Thats a Charmander. It has to stay in my backpack until I get to Lavender Town. It broke it's leg while I was battling Surge," I say.
"Oh," said Chris.
"Look at it," cried Jess, "it's so cute!"
We kept walking and talking. I was a few steps from exciting the tunnel when Primeape guy popped out. How predictible. I noticed Lisa had pulled a pokeball and was ready for a fight. Chris was about to do the same.
"Hand over the pokeballs...Huh? Not again! It's that girl!" said the Primeape guy.
"Let me handle this. That guy has been bugging me since I started my pokemon journey! I must have beaten him 20 times now!!!" I say.
"This time it won't be so easy," said Primeape guy.
Two more guys popped out.
"There are four of you guys,"he said,"three of you may battle. Each match is two on two."
After consulting for a minute, we decided I should battle Primeape guy, Chris and Jess would battle the other two. Lisa was upset she had to sit out.
We each faced up with a person. I pulled a pokeball. Before I could throw it, his Hypno was out and ready to battle.
"Go Seel!" I call.
Without instructions, Seel began the battle with Arorabeam. The colorful light hit Hypno and it seemed to be hurt a little bit.
"Hypno Confusion!"
"Hyp-noooo,"replyed Hypno.
It's eyes opened wide and began to glow red, very simularly to Kadabra.
Seel began to glow a funny color. It was ripped off the ground and slammed on the ground before I could think.
"Seel!" I cried.
It was obviously in bad shape.
"Now you know why I abandoned that thing,"chuckled Primeape guy.
"Icebeam!"
Seel used every bit of energy it had left to send a swirling blue beam at Hypno. Hypno was frozen, but because it didn't need to move to use Psicic attacks like Confusion, it was still in the fight.
"Watergun," I yelled.
Seel tried to attack, but only a sprinkle of water came out of it's mouth.
Hardly a gun. The last attack, Icebeam, had worn it out.
"Confusion!" hollored the man.
Before Seel could be seriously injured. I called it back. I thought very carefully before using a pokemon.
"Kukuna!" I call
"Ku-kun-aaaaa," it says tonelessly.
"A frozen pokemon can't dodge! Smash combo!"
Kukuna glowed as it hardened. It took a second to gather up the necessary energy for the powerful attack.
Kukuna shot at Hypno. Upon impact the ice was shattered. Kukuna continued pushing Hypno right into the wallk of the cave.
"Return! Now it's one to one," said the man in an evil tone.
Before he chose Primeape, I looked over at Jess and Chris' battles. It looked to me like they were doing well.
"Primeape!" called the annoying man.
Primeape, upon seeing me, remembered it's past humiliating defeats. It refused to battle.
"Stupid monkey! Let's move men!" bellowed Primeape guy.
Each man on Primeape guys team called back their pokemon and ran.
"I was about to win too!" complained Jess.
"How'd it go?" asked Lisa.
"They ran away, but I think our team would have one any way," I say as we exit the cave.
After the dark cave, it seemed so bright out!
"Are you guys going to Lavender town?" I ask.
"Maybe later. We're going to Celedon city. We're not stopping here. We might come back after we each beat Erika," said Jess.
" I heading into Laveender to catch a pokemon. Maybe we'll meet in Celadon or somewhere else on our Journies. It was nice to meet you guys but bye for now," I say walking away into Lavender.
They turn right and walk on the path to Celadon. I wonder if I really will run into them again...
